    Jerene, I make fish tea from time to time, so I was just watching for the pleasure, lulled by your rich alto voice (you sound stocious, though!). I nodded to everything you said and did, and then came a shock: green banana sliced with the skin on! ^^ Mi frighten!

    Made this today, followed it exactly except I added scotch bonnet puree for a little heat and flavour instead of a whole one. This hit the spot 100%, this is definitely my cup of tea 😉

    True to my word I'm back.
    Girl this is something I would leave to my mummy to cook for me.
    But now I have to up my game and learn to do it for myself. So I can cook it for her.
    Brillant simple recipe.❤
    One day my parents will need me to make them wholesome Jamaican meals.

      It's so nice and easy! Make sure you use the green Scotch bonnet. It does wonders for this. 😁

      I did it earlier! I had some fillet in the freezer so I used some. We’re enjoying it right now! 😋😋😋 Thanks, again.

      @@diahanno2890 Noiiice! How is it with the filet? I've always used the whole fish.

      Jerene's Eats It was OK. I used two pieces-one big and one small. So, I improvised and cooked both for a short while and took out the bigger part and left the smaller piece to cook with everything else. Thankfully, I still had chunks of it at the end. Mirroring what you did, at the end, I broke up the bigger piece and added it to the pot.

    Do you boil the fish with salt and pepper, or just plain water? How many cups of water?
    I’ve been meaning to cook fish tea.

    So you didn't peel the banana? Why?

    • @JerenesEats
      @JerenesEats  2 года назад +1

      The banana peels are nutrient dense and because they're cut into small pieces it'll be easy to eat 😁 We do the same for our Goat soup/Mannish water
