Skif being an ex-monolithian is a game changer. Inclusion of a laboratory from the trailer too. I believe that "noosphere" is not something that can be reached from anywhere on Earth, I still want to believe that the Monolith is a real thing and not some C-con's trick or great distraction from the Generators and the labs. Still, cannot think of a solution for the Zone existence, one russian stalker book series vividly mentions of a path of a "great fight" in some parallel realities so the Zone stops expanding.
Skif is not an ex monolithian i think he is with the corporation that we see in the trailer . Maybe this scene is from one of the various " path" you can choose . @@nifutakaUkraine for me. immersion is ruined with american sounding voices (yes it's english).
I want russian voices :(
Ukrainian would prob be a lot less common then Russian would in the zone.
@@nifutaka I chose English in the previous Stalker games (despite being cheaper voice acting, they just felt more real). The English I’ve seen from the trailers seems overacted, and the other problem is that the previous games spoke the English with non-US/English accents. Not sure if the voice actors were all Ukrainian/Russian, but it helped with the immersion, and I think selecting Ukrainian with English subs will be the best way to really get into the game.
@@nifutaka I am an English-speaking Canadian. I played the original trilogy in the original language with subtitles. I found it immersed me more, plus it is the language of the location. I will likely play the new Stalker with english first, just so I know what the baddies are saying as they scurry around, but I feel it in my heart that the American English used will take me out of the world too much. I'll probably switch to Ukranian w/ english subtitles as soon as I get sick of hearing the yankie accent on clearly Russian/Ukrainian characters.

Here before they could fix the typo in the title
Edit: Thanks to you guys who corrected me on the Ukrainian transliteration of 'Choronobyl'
Not a typo
If you talking about the spelling of Chernobyl that's the "Russian" spelling and they changed it to a more "Ukrainian" one not either uses the Latin alphabet.
Congrats
I’m glad somebody informed you without too much hassle and I’m happy you acknowledged it with your edit
@@Zachariahnavarro15 Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by how chill everyone was about it. Faith in humanity remains... for now :)
Звісно, передзамовив. Очікую з нетерпінням!
Ще трохи, і ми повернемося до Зони.
I wouldn't worry, when they take this much time to release something, it tends to not disappoint, it's when they crunch hard that the games fall short. This looks like it had a lot of love put into it.
I hope you're right, I now have trust issues with game launches after 2023, from games like the sons of the forest, company of heroes 3, redfall and starfield. All games I was excited for and turned out to be bad terrible or mid games.
It looks good, but I didn’t really see Stalker here, there wasn’t any exploration , nor was there the feel of the zone, this looked like an action mission from cod which seems out of place for a game like that?
Can't wait a download a torrent of it. From Russia with love!
There's a lot of stalker in the original trailers though looting a bandit camp, exploring a lab filled with monsters, sitting at a fire with other stalkers, artefact hunting. This trailer looks to just be an excuse to show main story elements as well as their new cutscenes@@jj-nl3co
Duke nukem forever, anyone?
This and metro 4 next year gone be a vibe fasho (if metro come out in 2024 that is) post apocalyptic genre a vibe fasho
Interesting that he isn’t monotone anymore - maybe he’s fully recovered?
The event in COP was like a few days after Strelok disable the Noosphere.
This event happened decades later
@@LONERZ
The story happened decades later. U could see the much older structures in other trailers
The zone made him that way?
pls dont rush it, take your time. We can wait for this one
One of my all time favorite Games, can't wait for #2.
Seems its more like metro. Heavy story... so not much freedom. Metro bored me to tears. I put in 500+ hours in Gamma and then got metro on special and was bored after the first two or three hours. Just talking and walking and railed combat with press "e" for emersion. Its terrible 😂😂
@@snaphaan5049 I get that and I felt the same at 1st with Metro but ended up loving the series. Sure it's not S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with it's open world but I think it embodied it in the feels.
Really looking foward to explore Chornobyl
Im so f .... Hyped for this Game ! Hope they get Stalker back on the Map. Nothing comes even close to stalkers threadning atmosphere and setting. Dam i Love this Franchise! ❤
0:55 THE NUMBER, MASON!!
I hope the Unreal Injector mod brings this game to virtual reality.
Stalker is already absolutely outstanding normally,
but I probably won't be coming back from the zone in VR 😉👍.
Man i hope you are right
Considering how incredible the modding community has been for stalker anomaly, I’d be very surprised if VR didn’t happen.
It will be incredible
Some of the cutscenes have some odd camera movements which really make me wonder if they were captured in VR.
There's an Unreal Engine port of Shadow of Chernobyl in VR lol

kinda wish the voices were more foreign really but this still looks great.
Uh, less foreign?
@@SideQuestStories I said MORE Foreign these dudes are in eastern Europe sounding like Americans...would have been more immersive if they had at least a fitting accent talking in English for more flavor for the dialogue.
I'm American myself btw don't really feel as invested in media that does this...the game takes place in a specific region or continent then it should reflect that in atmosphere and speech.
@@MonstarCavethere's different language options available
@@TheDsRequiem I'm not talking about the language I'm talking about the voices being English accent man. What's so hard to understand about that 😭
Thank God the English localization doesn't sound like horrible forced Eastern European stereotypical accent like in Metro, but actually sounds American/British. I really hate when I hear forced Eastern European accents. If you want it to sound more immersive, just play it in Ukrainian with subtitles, that is what I'll do.

People complaining about cinematics, almost feel to me that they never played the original Stalker series, wich also had a couple of great cinematics for that time. This is not a Metro/ Call of Duty, this is The Zone.
Exactly, the old games had cutscenes as well (yes there's not many but still i love the visuals)
God, RIP the devs who weren’t given the opportunity to see this project to the end.
Oh cool this was the monolith squad guy you could recruit in call of pripyat.
Красивые катсцены любой может нарисовать, уже пора и геймплей показывать.
@@Silvers-Stuff, experience just says, that if developers don't show pure gameplay at least for 15-30 minutes, then something ain't right. Obviously, I want a good game, but I've been following this game from the announcement and it's been pretty sketchy.
God I hope this game isn't exclusively underground, I'm so amped though
Stoked for the game but would've preferred Ukrainian accents for the voice actors.
With all due respect, it sounds like this takes place in Texas Y`all.
Ditto. Gonna be sticking to Ukrainian w/ English subtitles. I don't want to be roleplaying yanksville Ukraine.
A comment to support right away
Can't wait for Vano and the rest of the squad from CoP to show up as well!
I'm really excited to see where the story threads from the original trilogy lead!
so does this mean i get to truly customize my AK this time including swapping bolt carrier groups and pistons and recoil springs? :)
Action scene is actually looks like it was from fight at cnpp's front door.
It is, that's Operation Monolith with the Military attacking the NPP following Strelok de-activating the Brain Scorcher (the same Kaymanov Emitter that was creating the psi field Strider mentions)
You can see the coolant plant in the background, this is definitely the roof of the turbine hall next to the reactor #4.
Remember when the graphics looked insane at E3? Pepperidge Farm remembers...
Looks amazing, I can only hope they have a solid understanding of why we love the stalker series and we don't just get a metro clone. Stalker games should be slow, expansive, and completely unforgiving.
I think this game will be the same as "the day before"
no
Been waiting for this!!!!
Curious what the story is going to be here. Really excited they are bringing back old characters. I hadn't played CoP in like 8 years. I always remembered the ex monolith squad quest but I forgot the l leaders name. Replayed it recently and now I remember. It's cool how they even made him look the same too.
I’m getting a combination of “ what are the numbers mason? What do they mean?” And escape from tarkov vibes.
I mean.......... A perfect combination for a stalker game, innit?

Is it crazy seeing good English voice acting attached to stalker?
I prefer the heavily accented voice acting of the older games. Will probably play in the original language with English subtitles because of that, but it's cool

I don’t care about the graphics, as long as the gameplay is good that’s all that matters 👌🏻 what would have been a cool idea is if they did a extra game mode thingy (like new game+) called “exhibition” which pretty much played out like anomaly, giving you the option to pick a faction and starting gear.
