SCP foundation really needs to do better with their acronyms, that just keep repeating the classic SCP acronym. we have sector crime patrol, a grocery store and pizza parlor under the same acronyms, and a disease specialist under SCP. If you can please bring light to what the acronyms actually stand for or a list of more, please tell.
The SCP acronym in the Names of buisnesses is meant so they can be easily found by foundation workers in the local telefon book. So If someone needs to contact the foundation in some random town they can quickly find it like that.
Not for the public and Not as Security accouncements like this channel does.
@@einholzstuhl252 Fair point, but still, their acronym usage of the same three letters seem very limiting.
@@Micheal_Mayor7592There's actually an SCP-001 proposal which explains this: the Foundation performed a thaumaturgic ritual which ensures that any front company they operate that uses the SCP acronym is magically impossible to connect back to them by anyone outside the Foundation.
@@Micheal_Mayor7592I read somewhere that it's a phenomenon that makes any business that has the initials S.C.P. (something like South Cheyenne Plastics) be completely ignored by the public.

I thought that scp meant “Secure, Contain, Protect”

It’s just a cover up so they don’t reveal who they are
Also, "Secure. Contain. Protect" is just their motto. The actual name of SCP Foundation is "Special Containment Procedure Foundation".
It does they are trying to keep them secret if a scp was out though they would explain themselves
