Thanks for playing Toby's music! His career spanned well over 30 or so years. Helps to process the grief of losing TOBY KEITH. His music affected our lives because it was relevant and identifiable in the world of music. Artists like Toby come along once in a lifetime. This man so so talented, great person, great husband, father, humanitarian....the list goes on. Thank you for honoring him thru his music!! ❤❤❤

I live in Toby’s hometown about 3 miles from him. Toby and his family is such a fixture in our community. I would see him and his wife out to dinner on several occasions. He was one of us!! I was fortunate enough to go to his pop up concert at his roadhouse last summer. He didn’t announce he was playing, just showed up and started playing. What a great 3 hours that was!!
Wayman Tisdale, the inspiration for this song is his buddy from Oklahoma. Wayman played in the NBA and after his career he became a jazz singer. Toby writing this son just a couple of days after he passed was simply “special”. Only Toby could pull off a song like this. We are all living this song right now. I just can’t believe he is gone. Norman Oklahoma will never be the same. I love you Toby! Play it sweet in heaven. I’m not crying for you I’m crying for me. I’m still crying.

Toby’s grandson played with my grandson on the same football team. Toby and his whole family would come out and sit front row at the stadium. After the game, I would catch Toby under the stands coaching his grandson up. Cuties thing I ever seen. DEVOTED, to his family. It was Shelley’s son, you know the daughter he adopted. I promise you, HE NEVER portrayed her as his ADOPTED Daughter, simply his daughter. I wish people would not say he had an adopted daughter. Toby was and is her daddy! Through and through. I have an adopted daughter and I NEVER refer to her as my adopted daughter. She is my daughter. She may not have an ounce of my blood that runs thru her but you bet the farm she has 💯 percent a love of a mother.

I can't help but get teary-eyed every time I think about Toby because his music was a huge part of my younger years. You can't help but crank his songs up and sing along.
He was very creative at writing ✍️ the lyrics, singing them, and performing on stages and in videos.
He loved God,his wife, his country, his family, his friends, his fans, and our military.
He did a lot for our military.
Even though I didn't know him or meet him,I did attend one of his concerts, and it really hurt seeing his body so frail from cancer.
Wherever he is ,I hope he's at peace and singing with the angels.
His faith is what kept him going.
Prayers for his wife, his family, and everyone who loves ❤️ Toby.
He left us with many beautiful memories and songs.
Some of his videos are hilarious. 😂 That big man had a huge heart ❤️ and a great sense of humor with a beautiful smile. He is greatly loved and missed by many.

OK, so this hits me on so many levels. My dad passed away from Stomach Cancer at the early age of 56yrs & we're a military family. Toby has so many great songs, whether it's patriotic or hilarious, he will be missed for his kindness & music. I, like you believe he's in Heaven & is with his loved ones. Stomach cancer is so painful with a very low survival rate, so for me I'm just glad he isn't in any more pain. Rest easy Toby❤

I grew up listening to Toby. I've shared his music with my loved ones, and they, too, fell in love with him. What's not to love about Toby? Car rides singing along to many of his songs. Converted my husband to country music as well, and Toby was the first singer I thought of to do just that. His favorite is "American Soldier" since he's in the military, but also "I wanna talk about me" and "Who's your Daddy." He's brought out all kinds of emotions in my life with his music for 26 years. It truly hurts to know he's gone now, but the thought of believing he's not in any more pain is what comforts me. He'll always be considered a legend in my book. Rest easy, superstar⭐️

Tisdale did die from cancer sadly, and sad that Toby also died of Stomach cancer. I loved his music has every CD he ever put out, got to meet him, we're Oklahomans, Been to his Tornado Relief Concert, and saw him inducted ic hall of Fame in Muskogee, OK. Met him while my daughter sat in the truck, i was getting pine needles across from his ranch, he stopped by the truck (which was covered in OU stickers lol) and saw my daughter slink down after yelling to me that it's TOBY KEITH lol, he was laughing at her as she slunk down hollering for me to stop using a Walmart sack to put pine needles - i was in a medieval type faire in Stroud OK which is no longer going on now, miss it. But to talk to him was amazing. His voice was amazing to , h e could defintely sing. Loved him a lot just cause of his music and his personality and all that he has done for his home state of OKLAHOMA :)

The first time he was in concert with Sawyer Brown. He was extraordinary! My heart is broken! I've even been to the town he's from in Moore, Oklahoma! They have a water tower there by the exit that says "Moore, OK. Home of Toby Keith" !
They held a memorial for him the night after he past away at the water tower.
He was a patriotic gentle giant! Thank you for keeping his memory alive!

Before Tuesday, it was because I know it's Toby's words delivered in an emotional, heart felt song, to a man he admired and loved. Today, as I sang along, it was my song to Toby. I'm not crying for him, I'm crying for me. I surely am gonna miss that smile.

This one hit hard. Toby Keith was a true family man, husband, father, grandfather. You don't hear of this in the entertainment world very often. He was super talented and he dominated country music for a long time. Perhaps the most important thing for me to know, as a fan, is he never denied his faith. He openly admitted his God was his strength and he trusted Him with whatever was to come. He is gone too soon. This one really hurts. @@jimmyvann1238 jimmy, this story has been told several times since his passing here in Oklahoma. Bob Stoops (OU Coach) didn’t know Toby was singing the national anthem. He told a story that after Toby sand the song he knew OU was winning. Toby told a story recently about singing the national anthem and it goes like this. Toby was in Vegas a year prior and he met some people from the Orange bowl committee and they asked” what’s it goons take to get you to sing the national anthem next year at the orange bowl? Toby said “just ask, I’ll sing it” not knowing OU would be playing for the National Championship. Toby goes on to say, he has a lot of country fans in Florida and when he went out to sing EVERYONE was cheering! When he finished, he walked to the OU sideline and the Florida St. fans started Booing him. I guess they didn’t realize he was Sooner born.

Man, I thought I was finished crying over Toby until I heard this. You got me, bro. 😢I know he isn't suffering anymore. I lost my mom in 2019 and Dad in 2020, both from cancer. Losing Toby just really hit home. He certainly did touch countless lives. I'll bet Tisdale welcomed Toby home with a big smile and open arms. We'll see you again on the other side...Mom, Dad, and Toby.

This song was our favorite song we had playing at my husband's celebration of life ! This is the absolute most beautiful song ever! Listening to this now that Toby is gone is hurting so bad !! I am crying for me, his wife and kids, grandkids because I have been there .14; years ago in January 2010. My husband died. When Toby lost his friend. My heart is broken 💔. God bless you Toby for all you've done for USA, the military, the people who have suffered and your overwhelming generosity!! I love you I miss you and will never forget you.

I just bawled through this entire song. This was one of my favorite Toby Keith songs. Growing up in the 80s and 90s. He was 1 of 3 country artists that I listened to constantly. What a wonderful husband, father, singer, songwriter military supporter and Patriot he was. I will never forget he played a concert for us while I was at basic training on the Fourth of July. It was the highlight of our summer.

Thank you for keeping his memory alive by reintroducing all of these songs to us. One of my favorites from his is "My List". I think it will be a bittersweet song to listen to but nonetheless a song to love by. If you find time could you check it out? Thanks!

Thank you Sebs for appreciation Toby. I'm an Okie born and bred so he's obviously an icon for us but my dad rode bikes with him, my mom watched him as a nobody at some of his first bar shows. And more than that he was a huge patriot that loved this country and had the utmost respect for the men and woman that fight and die to protect our way of life. He will surely be missed by many of us and we are lucky to have been around at the same time as such an amazing human being to experience his gifts for all of us.

Talking about changing perspectives, I've been crying myself as I lost my husband on the 28th of Jan. Now I have a whole different feeling it's about celebrating their Lives instead grieving our own pain, because just hearing this song, just this one song, I've changed his "funeral" to a wake where, sitting with friends and reliving the good times of the past.

i’ve always been a fan of Toby Keith, just hits a lot harder since being in the military. his song ‘American Soldier’ was playing when i finished the 10 mile ruck march in basic training back in 2021. he was probably the most patriotic celebrity there ever was. i’ve heard of the stories of him playing in around 17 different countries in the middle east for soldiers completely free of charge. Toby Keith will always be a legend and i’ll continue listening to him til the day i leave this earth as well.

Toby had me at Should have a Cowboy. His love and support for our Country and our Military is what made me love him. In October of 2003 my brother in law was KIA in Iraq. My husband & I drove from Colorado to Fayetteville for his service. We heard American Soldier so many times on the radio. It was such a sad trip but that song was a comfort. And yes I am crying for him now. My prayers are with his family. I have this picture of Toby walking into heaven being welcomed by all our fallen troops

Thank you Sebs for reacting to this song. Toby was an amazing singer/songwriter and a legend. Just hearing this song made the tears flow just like it was the 1st time hearing it again.
Toby loved his fans and his country and so many current performers either adopted their styles or molded themselves after Toby. "Crying For Me" and "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" are two songs I love to do at karaoke because the dance floor always fills up and frankly that's what him and his music was all about...EMOTION.

Toby Keith was from my Era of Country music... I love his music.. I was raised on my Pop-Pop's country and loved it too.. but losing Toby hits hard.. he's only like 7 years older than me.. Brings up mortality too. My heart goes out to his wife and children.. entire family.. as fans.. we've lost a legend. for them they've lost much more. My prayers are with them.

I’m so glad I found your channel. It’s so awesome watching someone discover his music for the first time. Toby could write a ballad just as perfectly as he could a fun beer-drinking song. I saw him in concert 3 times and I could kick myself for not going out to Vegas last November to see his last performance. Rest in peace, Toby. ❤
