- Time and time again, I've seen comments about how Wuthering Wave's banner system should mirror that of PGR. For those who don't know why, it's because it's one of the more forgiving systems that is far from the stingy system that Hoyoverse has created. So let's take a surface level look at how generous and free-to-play friendly the game really is.
Now, imagine if Kuro decided to give us Bianca Stigmata for free in a patch in the future... hahaha.... hahahaha..... Oh yeah, also, did anyone notice that the 3 free amplifiers we got are involved in the same chapter: Renaissance du Fantastique? Soooo free Trojan???

I tried ZZZ while waiting for Alice's patch, and was simply horrified by Hoyo's greed. Random artifacts instead of buying them in the store, very long leveling and farming of resources without autocompletion, 50/50 banners, inability to choose A tiers in a standard banner with 80% for his personal leveling. In short, I dropped this game, PGR forever♥.

Hoyo games truly are Stockholm syndrome compared to other gachas
Every gacha games ive played pre-Genshin(Covid) outbreak all had Anniversary rewards where they give rolls, premium currency, a selector (sometimes you have to play an event for event points to exchange it for a chara), and resources.
Hoyo's Genshin broke that rule and its the reason why we got the huge google playstore down rating from the Genshin community that they had to involve on 1 starring games that wasnt even from Hoyo at all
It is atleast good to know that some games after genshin apocalypse, games like Nikke and PGR are keeping the tradition of giving out massive rewards to their playerbase during Anniversaries.
I will say HSR is okay, but I'm even reluctant to say that because powercreep is quite frankly insane where units get surpassed in mere months. That and 2 debut character banners run close to eachother in a patch cycle and premium currency can't even keep up.

Fu Xuan is still one of the strongest sustains in the game. Himeko/Herta literally got jump started with Pure Fiction. Tell me again where the power creep is, aside from maybe Acheron, who isn't actually that much stronger than Seele in terms of power ceiling. Meanwhile, I'm getting fucking demoted from LEADER rank as a monthly spender because I happen to have 10 whales that just forgot to play last week so they got demoted from Hero. I simply love seeing a video explaining Kuro's systems, I honestly found it strange that people were impressed by having a free character so early, but I later understood that not every game is generous, I'm very lucky to have started playing pgr global at the beginning, better thing I've done in my life
How Kuro handled PGR is why I'm confident in how they would handle WuWa despite its problems. And you're absolutely right on the upcoming patches. I like Lamia but I also want BRS cause it's a collab character but I'd be ashamed if I'd miss Qu cause she's one of my favorite characters (and her Ult animation is just peak!) then there's Luna and Hanying...good lord. I can save for Lucia at least since I'm ok with not pulling for Wanshi
We will get free BRS althought at A rank ... but even if some people pull her till sss+ it has grim future with lucia new frame, so the free A rank as collection is good enough just to play around with

Going from FGO to Wuwa feels like going from an abusive, toxic relationship to a normal one.
I feel you! I played fgo and pgr until early this year where I finally stopped playing fgo. The relief for me and my wallet is incredible. It's a shame that Wuwa is too time consuming for me and I didn't feel any pull from any of the chara. But in the end, Kuro is great!
Ohh that, i went from no pity and only suffering hell into generous gachas... i know fgo has pity now, but 300 rolls still is terrible if i look at PGR and Wuwa, to tie it to the video.
One word to describe Kuro; "PASSIONATE".
They don't make these games to farm their players' money, but to offer incredible experience to their playerbase. They are not greedy, AT ALL. There is a fair exchange between the company and the playerbase. How? Cause we can see how passionate they are, and in exchange, for example in PGR, we don't mind spending to show how grateful and satisfied we are even tho the game is super playable as f2p. We can also consider this as a smart and good marketing strat by Kuro, like you won't spend money on the game because you have/need to and in order for you to catch up with the game contents, but instead you will pay them because you feel very grateful and because you are having fun. That is why I myself respect Kuro Games.
Edit: I almost forgot... You know what else I love about Kuro's games? Their fckn music, especially Vanguard's OSTs🔥
Yup, we can see that in the wuwa interview where they said "we want players to have fun and enjoy our games", different from other companies' standard "may you have fun playing the game". Kuro implied that they themselves want the players to enjoy the game
They are not generous because they are passionate about it, they are a company that wants money and thats their strategy nothing more if they were truly passionate about it they would make a one time purchase full priced game and not a gacha game.
Wuwa is good but lets remember that this is a gacha game.
Sadly this marketing does incentivize only a few people to spend. I remember a comment that said "thank you kuro i can spend on x game and stay f2p here" which is alright. But that x game has a huge powercreep issue. Kinda sad people prefer to spend on a game where they feel like they had to instead of a game that cares them

You can say the music,gameplay,visual etc are good but calling the company "passionate"? gacha developers are the absolute complete opposite of that word, as long the game has a gacha system they can never be called that.
That also applies to hoyovers.
This is one of the reasons PGR is, and always will be my main gacha. I don't have to spend half the amount to get an SSS character when compared to copies of a character in Star rail or WuWa
The reason I'm playing it and not feeling exhausted
Yeah but you actually have to get duplicates to not be a complete scrub. SS + sig to actually have a functioning character, with the occasional CUB requirement. You also need minimum SS3 + sig (and resonances) if you wanna be competitive. SSS amplifiers, which takes like a year of farming for shards if you're F2P.
HSR isn't doesn't have rewards tied to rankings and the end game modes are balanced around E0 characters, meaning no dupes required. Signature weapons are good but most are like 10-15% better than their F2P counterparts, which in terms of overall team damage is like 3-4%, and aren't required to complete the character's kit most of the time.
In contrast, I can't even use Feral 21 as part of my Lightning team rotation with her SS + sig because it's a DPS loss to swap off my Alpha. Meanwhile my Seele with the F2P 5-star is clapping cheeks in MoC. The "generosity" of a game is often tied to the balancing of the game. It's not possible to get an S rank + their sig without spending exactly 15 dollars a month. Odd. Even then, I'm getting schooled by whales, so I'm losing out on nearly double the rewards from WZ and PPC, which in turn pressures me to spend more. In HSR, there is no incentive to spend more or pull for any character unless you want them. I'm currently sitting at 100 pulls after getting Jade. I've skipped maybe 3 units that I didn't want because there isn't nearly as much power creep.
If you're a whale and you want to compare the financial investment to fully max out a character, then sure, I guess, but that's not really relevant to the majority of the playerbase of casual players, which is what Hoyo caters to. Whatever floats your boat though.

Oh, I didn’t know Kuro until I played wuwa. I hear a lot of people talking about PGR and feel normal about the perks of these games. I'm curious. After playing PGR, to be honest, I have rarely played such a generous game. From time to time they release S-class character selectors. There is also very little pressure in the Gacha lottery. Almost every character has skills and gameplay. You don't have to get certain characters specifically to fight. The fighting ability is as good as Wuwa. Overall it's still very good. It is very different from the current ZZZ.
Honestly I don't get zzz hype. It feels scammy as genshin at the very first sight.

To be honest, there is a problem with the rhythm of the game plot in the early stage of the game. It did not improve until the account reached level 30. of course I can't stand it until that time, because I feel the kindness of PGR and hope that zzz will improve in the future

Meanwhile PGR literally rips off so many forced tropes from many games, and 8 acts in the game still doesn't pick up into doing something original... Literally the frames are CTRL-C + CTRL-V from the Yorha from nier and doesn't help when they use the word "Gestalt" as well...

I still think gacha holds back Kuro's full potential, wish they would make a premium game someday with help of WW'S success.

They genuinely could make a proper action game at this point but I don't know how they would financially justify that considering how successful WuWa was as a gacha game. So far china seems to only make gacha games and only that Wukong game and the fps waifu shooter are breaking the mold.
This is my exact issue with the gacha community too. I wholeheartedly believe that PGR is the best Gacha game and I think Wuwa will get there eventually.

That's very naive lol. You don't know how Chinese game industry work. Without the gacha format Kuro wouldn't got any investments in the first place. There's a interview of Kuro's original investor who's the CEO of Hero Games, dude isn't the type of guy that would ignore business side of Kuro's practice. Not to mention that tencent own a large part of kuro now.
It's been almost a year that I started playing PGR and I have not regretted a second of it. It's such a good game with stunning visual, incredible soundtrack (shout-out to all the composers, true masterclass at their jobs) and most of all, very engaging gameplay. The gacha is mostly inoffensive and the story is well-written (not the introductory chapters, those are a snoozefest). Overall the experience is great.
I'm just sad because people got turned off by the early story parts (which is understandable) when after that, it's just uphill with the quality. Wish they could do something about that.
Some clarification: even tho we have 2 consecutive S ranks coming up,players can still get them right away as usual because 2 patches prior we've had 2 free character (and A rank and now a free S rank)

Kuro LOVES their players, you can also see it in their smile whenever they do a livestream to introduce a new patch, a good game dev is the one that loves and takes good care of their players and listens to their problems about the game and fix them.
But even though a lot of people are complaining about PGR's early game, Kuro has not revised it yet, probably due to the painstaking amount of work that it'll take to fix 9 whole chapters as well as 9 hidden ones after it, obviously animating, storyboarding, and planning will take a huge toll on them mentally and physically.
Also pretty sure they said PGR isn't even at it's peak yet and they'd like it to survive at least 7 more years.
The world will know who Kuro game is and what Kuro is capable of.

PGR will always have a place in my heart as it's the very first mobile game that I actually took seriously. Being a pc gamer for the majority of my life, I never expected mobile games can be made at this caliber and it opened me to more games like it. I wish Kuro more success in the future.
People don’t understand how the real profit margin is. So they think some of the “most expensive” games keep what they earn “sincerely” into development of new contents. While in reality it’s just reused animation, publicity and some flashy marketing. Kuro can still have reasonable profit while being “generous”, they’re just not on THAT egregious level of greediness.
PGR Gacha is peak. I never saw a game which is more fair (looking at you WuWa).

Thanks the testers for giving a middle finger to Kuro when they copied Honkai Impact gacha if i remember, but yeah their was also alot of criticism in PGR early.
Ive been eyeing PGR since when i was playing HI3, as for WuWa i can understand that the game is a Open World hence for it the Gacha is fair enough, but if i don't see the Arrival Gacha like in PGR limited char. rerun (don't like FOMO) i will probably drop WuWa, atm i understand as theirs still only 3 limited char. got released.

@@Inv1ctum Yeah, and he didn't mention that you only need the sig weapon one time and it is done. After that you only need a special item or ANY other random 6 star weapon to resonance it. If you want to peak performance your char you don't have to pull the weapon another 5 times. And even if, it is way cheaper.
@@haruusami1831 I wished for the same gacha system in WuWa as in PGR and i can totaly understand why they have to make it more like Genshin in terms of gacha. But it is super frustrating for fanboys and simps who want to collect all the waifus and husbandos they want.
I whaled in WuWa, read the main story while playing but besides that i catch myself only doing the daily and logging off. No interest for walking the world, farming echos, doing side quests... i will eventually drop WuWa in the near future like you and even if it is sad, it is sad because the game is good, but it didn't catch me like PGR in terms of character illustration, the character achievability, story wise, open world vs instance battles and grind for upgrades. I don't have much time in my life and i prefer having a "real" game to play (Elden Ring or one round every day in Darktide with a friend in the evening) and a nice little game where i can do my dailys short and if i want to invest more time, doing this when i want like PGR without the intimidating grind which keeps me from doing it.
I don't feel bad for the money tho, because i think Kuro deserves it with both games and so it isn't wasted at all.

It's worth saying that even if you lose 80/20 in the weapon banner, it's not a complete failure, because you can use the resulting weapon as a resource for weapon resonance (something similar to specific buffs)
Yea, either resonance. Or if you lose 3 80/20s you can use those to pick up the wep of your choice. So max it takes is 90 pulls before you get the wep. Calibration also takes effect after two lost 70/30 or 80/20 which guarantees your pick on the 3rd pity.

I play on both CN and global. I never spent an single dime on CN server as I have to simple ways to actually pay them. But I still have all characters unlocked and most of them at SS rank, with almost all there signature weapon in meta characters. Yes, I did get lucky a few times, but still, it really shows how much they give out to players

When you got to the skins. My mind melted. The newest patch for a specific other game just released today and they are releasing a god forsaken trail animation. Comparing its skins and cosmetics to Kuro's skins that come with modified animations, outro and intro animations and attack/orb sfx is like comparing top tier steaming roadside dogshit to jewelries on the display cabinet.

I was blown away by the generosity, the gameplay and the mostly very healthy and helpful community when I started PGR 7 months ago. The game keeps getting better with each patch, every character feels unique to play and I just love how they sprinkle fun and creative modes into the game. I'm happy to stick around and spend money on them

I am literally so so happy about people singing PGR's praise. For me, this is the best gacha game out there by far.
PGR was my first gatcha, and it shattered most of my impressions about a gatcha, when doing research, most people talk about how gatcha sucks because you have to spend, but I was able to get Han ying, Selena, 21 by just playing the game. Going in blind to gatcha, I though those banners will be frustrating not knowing if you will ever get them. Maybe one day Ill spend just to support them. I've bought full priced games that are not even close to PGR's content, i dont mind spending a little for develops like them.
Been playing this game since day 1 of cn released, and all I can say is listen to him ang try out the game, U won't regret it.

I can only play wuwa for now due to time, can't grind and play both as i have real life to manage too. Soon i will play it back2back with wuwa.
The reason PGR so generous I think Kuro are proud with each characters they made with the animation and gameplay and want every players to have fun with all the characters
I have been playing since day one global and I got every characters with some sign weapon + 60k bc and few characters selectors I haven't use yet, not counting tons upgrade matz

I just started playing 2 month ago. Best advice I can give to new players now is that you need focus on to pulling Lucia Crimson Weave with 100% guaranteed banner. I can assure you that the game experience will be as smooth as butter if you can do that.

(Bare with this please TwT I write a lot swy) I mean ig I can't say much as it took me like, 3 days to figure out how the ping system fully works, meaning I didn't understand at first how to use 21 feral or 21 21, buut, tbf, even after I figured it out, even tho I can only use her in trial stages as I don't have her, certain characters from trial stages like her and Alisa and empyrea, I just don't fully get how some of them, well, how there kits work, plus idk atleast in my experience, having gone for 21 feral, shes really really strong too, and tbh, part of me wants to get crimson weave for her to have a full team, but on the other hand, like with my 21 21, and my lamia and the soon to have capricio, I, have difficulty wanting them at the same time cause I want to be on 1 of the 2 21's as much as possible as they I like playing the most and the, altho 21 21 might not be as strong, and she moves slow like bronya from honkai, the hardest early character to play back then, well, even tho that all is the case, I feel so much more comfortable playing her, same with feral altho she plays super smooth and fast, so since she's fast i don't have as much uncontrollable difficulty, anyway tho, I'm not sure if I should get crimson weave and or garnet and or rozen, tbh I'm not super confident who I should play them with in content like pain cage

What a great vid man, It really sparkled my desire to play PGR
I think it's good to mention that even though the weapon banner has an 80% rate up for any selected weapon, it doesn't have a guaranteed selected weapon pity. Meaning you can get 2+ other weapons instead of the one you chose even if you have the 30 pity twice (personal experience).
However, as of the 4.5 anniversary (latest patch in CN atm, Global is 1.5 year behind iirc), should you not get the weapon you chose, the next weapon is guaranteed to be that. So, kudos to Kuro.
Out of all action RPG games, PGR is always be the number one.
1) Player's involvement in story
- Kuro added feature where the mc/SKK became playable instead of player other characters. So we can experience as SKK in game, not only playing as other characters.
2) f2p friendly and easy grinding
- They give a lot of resource to level up your character, and sometimes free S rank characters in some patch.
Wuthering waves is good for my mental health and my broke ass. I don't even have that much desire pulling for a character, I just pay
It's very easy to plan ahead for this game. Right now I have 40/60 pity built on the limited banner for Watanabe, 50/60 on the standard banner for Lamia (will be skipping debut and pull her on Qu patch) so I really only have to save for Qu's weapon and future characters.

I'm gonna be real honest I wanna play PGR, but because I'm a returning player that tried playing on release but ended up giving it up I am absolutely confused on what to do and where to start.
You want to focus on building a team of characters that you like but is relatively cohesive (DPS + Tank + Support/Amplifier, and all are of the same element) and raise them as much as you can, especially look up what memory sets these characters want, what memory placement and resos to said memories they should have and whether need their CUB or their 6 star weapon, you also want to participate on the primary gameplay cycle modes (those would be Warzone, Phantom Pain Cage, Norman Revival Plan and Clash Reflection), there are many factors to a character's power growth but getting joining a mentor in-game is crucial in getting the resources you need to make them as strong as possible, Dormitory commissions also are very important to do as you get meta characters off of its store as well as resources for character progression

Playing PGR for a year since it came out to PC. One of the best Gachas I've played and I still play. I wished it had more recognition in the market. Sadly, that's a big fail on their part regarding that but other than that, this game is perfect! So as Wuthering Waves. Kuro games are just a blessing.

I wish all my luck in PGR is transferred to WuWa, getting the new S-rank character is pretty much guaranteed for everyone (unless you're pulling for duplicates, sig weapon, CUB), which is why I feel like its excessive whenever I get the S-rank before the pity

I really wanted to play WuWa when I 1st saw that It was in the making. But I couldn't wait so I looked If KURO had some other games and found PGR. Oh boy did I found something good. I was just going to try out PGR while waiting for WuWa but I got hooked.
I heard about PGR before but didn't try it cuz it didn't looked that good at launch and the visuals were a bit unique. But When I started to play it was 1 year into the game and the game did grow and there was those boss runs which really can make anyone motivated. The game was fire from the music to the combat everything was really fun. I hear the story is good too I will give it a read when I am free.
Now I play PGR along side WuWa. I really hope the best parts of PGR comes to WuWa as well.
You say the upcoming triple S rank (Hanying, Wanshi, Lucia) never happened before. We got it for new years last/this year. Lee, Ayla, Alpha. Ayla was free and the new S Wanshi is also going to be free. The only worrying part for how f2p was the back to back gacha S rank of Wata and Qu, but Global has a year foresight so we can save standard banner selector from Lamia patch to use on Wata or Qu depending who we skipped

BRS is free, just like any A rank they release. All you need to do is the event stages, get the event currency and buy the character shards.

@@SoilworkWT Np. It just takes some time to get stuff for free in PGR most of the time since the free characters are mostly from events and from spending commission currency which you get from doing daily tasks at the dorm.

The kindness of letting me get what character I want kept me playing.
But still spent money on the game because of me actually liking it and loving the skins and specially the Recolor/Effect skins. There more reasons why I rather spend money on PGR than any other Gatcha and they aren’t even necessary things inside the game

Wuwa revenue not as high as other games because their weapon banner is 100% guaranteed and they sell 2 copies of limited character in shop with gacha currency, both causes people to pull less but players are more happy about it so high revenue doesn't mean the game is better or the players are happier it just mean that the game is more popular but i'm pretty sure wuwa players are way more happy about the gacha system
As a pgr cn player I started all the way when pgr came out and just had the monthly pass. Never spent a dime otherwise and have every character and their respective weapons
Pgr actually healed the gacha in me. I spent 2 years losing 50/50 after 50/50 in Genshin, hard pity each time... my luck was shit. But pgr not only is generous BUT MY LUCK IS GODLY. I've gotten every single weapon or character I've ever wanted within 10-20 pulls. Love pgr
The only thing about PGR that made me quit (maybe only for some time), it's a lot to grasp. And the events are a bit boring imo. But I have my SS Crimson Weave, and I must say their generosity is definitely way ahead of Hoyo, though I love how generous they're in HSR. But Kuro - free characters to choose, free weapons, f2p SS+ farm.
ey welcome to Kuro's games mate, we pgr players already so used to how they treat the players back then and will continuously do their outmost best to being a very passionate and generous devs in both their games. A free 5 star or a lot of pull rewards is just another thursday for us literally lmao.
just because Kuro is generous in PGR doesn't mean that they'll be as generous in WuWa, i mean look at Hoyo in HI3, HSR then vs Genshin

When I enjoy a gacha game, I usually buy the pass and the blessing is my way of showing my appreciation.
kuro has been generous all the way since day 1.for me my opinion kuro is best corp method how keep players happy n cont play.yea wuwa just begining just like how pgr begining more reward n mode will be implement.kuro support ftp also for whales for both type players so they will never left out comes to event and such.
The thing about character shards in resources tab - before, as far as I know, you HAD to have that character, and this was only to grind for additional upgrade shards (so, from B-A to S and further), BUT I don't know when it changed... but about a third of the characters, like A-rank Lee Palefire (who before Hyperreal was in the damn fire meta despite his rank), are now simply LEVEL-LOCKED! Yes, you can unlock those stages just by leveling up, and then grind for the shards to unlock the characters themselves. Level up, grind for 15 days - get A-rank character. How generous is that?
This was unfortunate timing after I got completely shafted on alisa weapon for the first time (50 pulls, 2 6* weapons, lost both 80%s and both rolled into the one weapon in the pool that i already had, which is about 1/4 chance each?), but even disregarding the free units, this game is set up in a way where if you get all the currency in between unit banners, you WILL get every single one. I've always loved that in games, and the absolute quality of PGR in every other aspect of the game tells me I'm in good hands, and I will be staying for the near future.
Don't forget that in many game modes you get trial characters for free, so you can test and enjoy frames without spending.
Not gonna lie. I'm enjoying ZZZ more than PGR right now, but the fact that I can obtain any upcoming frame just from playing and maybe a monthly pass is why I'm sticking to the game for now. Heck, I just obtained three S-Rank units and a weapon in one patch (Alisa + 2 from rolling) and I still have 10k BC to spare.... after starting to play around a month ago. Your video convinced me btw. My biggest problem right now is actually leveling all the frames that I have. The monthly pass in PGR feels like a guarantee, meanwhile in ZZZ I'm wondering whether I will even have enough polychromes in two months or so to roll for Miyabi.

I quit PGR globul and play on CN and never look back.
I know global will get there eventually but playing in CN feels so much better with the QoL and newer OP characters. Issue is I can't top up in CN but it's fine, I play as F2P and still get to top 10% in PPC and Hero in WZ sometimes while clearing all other content like Norman and Historical, it just that I can't afford to get any outfit or lose my weapon banner, which I just did on Wanshi S rank, so sad. Now I'm spending all my BC for Lucia so RIP my Ice team I guess

While PGR's gacha for characters is indeed basically not a gacha as long as you log in every day, do WZ, PPC and complete event game modes for the BC rewards, there are some things I'd like to add:
1. SS+ sig weapon is the minimum requirement for a unit to play smoothly as rotations will feel noticeably worse without them. SS is doable via PPC skulls, but the average F2P won't be able to get most sig weapons. This isn't exclusive to Karen Scire, though the other units work a lot better without high investment compared to Scire who only greatly outshines a similarly invested Tenebrion at SS3+sig. While SS+sig technically isn't necessary, players and potential players will/should know that it's a noticeably clunkier and weaker experience without them due to the tight timing required to play optimally. Well, if you're super casual and not trying to be competitive in PPC and WZ then it probably won't bother you and besides, HI3 is much worse lol.
2. In theory, S rank shards being obtainable using BP currency is nice but in practice, an F2P will take a long time to save up enough. Even then, as mentioned in the video, the S rank shards available are mostly for older S ranks that will be powercrept soon/have been powercrept with the exception of the free units. And powercreep in PGR isn't mild - gen 2 units are miles ahead of gen 1 units (except a low investment Scire as mentioned above, for now), though the powercreep rate is quite slow due to the long duration of patches in PGR.
3. Selena was pretty mid at low investment when she debuted but she's actually good now, TLDR: it's because her new team comp encourages a swap playstyle compared to Luna's on-field hypercarry style, and Selena's amp passive requires you to swap units to maintain its buffs. Just a fun fact that won't be relevant once Lamia releases.

On global it’s very lacking as it offers old irrelevant characters to choose from the 5-star selector. Also, it’s a weird question, but is PGR gives something for everyday log in when there is no big events in the game? I can’t play right now, but I was planning on starting logging in in the game daily on my phone to get some materials for a quick start in the future when I will be able to play the game comfortably on my PC. I will appreciate an answer very much!❤

I dropped PGR because the grinding can be sometimes time-consuming (not that I hate it, I just need to prioritize my studies), but I never hated it. The gacha is very f2p, and is probably the most f2p gacha game that I've ever played (I give 2nd place to Alchemy Stars). WuWa might not get the same treatment as PGR, but it's still f2p compared to Genshin. Then again, the similarity I find from PGR and WuWa is that any shenanigans work as long as you're not skill-issue. You can get all the characters you want, but Gabriel will fk you up, Mephis will fk you up, and the only way to counter it is to git gud.
I describe the bosses in this game like dark souls bosses that beat you up but still let you win in the end.

Honestly, what i want to achieve from playing gacha is to play/try every character available. I don't really care how much OP or power creeped later. Having that 50/50 chance is why I can't remain playing them for a long time usually 4-5 months at most. Which makes me dont want to spend a single buck on these games. PGR became the first gacha game that broke my record that i played for 4 years already (if I include CN), even if not much i still spend money on some coating or anniversary event.
*Even Wuwa can't make me spend money like that. Still f2p in Wuwa, because I don't know when i will stop playing that game.
As someone who just hit 2 years of playing PGR (mostly on but occasionally off), i ended up getting every single S rank since i started, most S ranks to SS already (except 5 of them), only missing 5 of old Year0 characters (i want them but... vouchers take a long time to save up), All A Ranks at SSS or higher upgrades, 8 signature weapons and i... may have spent a bit too much on uns because i love them (a bit too much even) :dumbdawn:
I'm literally not flexing, this is just a matter of login checks and 2-6 hours of side-content clearing per patch. And i even spent some money just so i could get the empyrea special skins... and lost 19K BC total... orz that was more BC lost that i got from spending money on Monthly pass (so technically i'm still a F2P right? Clueless). PGR really just has one moneysink, which is paying for drip and paying to farm more vouchers efficiently (so you can build your account faster)
I do have multiple problems with the game as a whole (future characters outright killing off viability of some characters... nanami my girl), the early game grind being absolutely tedious and boring slog for the first month or so, overload of tooltip pages and shiny buttons without explaining what they do and taking forever to implement a Calibration system for the Weapon banners lol, just to name some of the bigger ones. But this game is still an experience. Even on CN which i can barely read, it's very fun to eff around and find out how the new characters play and the insane levels of side content on offer. mostly all f2p friendly too
I'm not that into gacha games, I've played Genshin when it came out but dropped it by the time Inazuma came out, and ignored gachas since. Recently, I decided to give it another shot with Honkai Star Rail (admittedly, I'm into it more than I was into Genshin, but still), and I have my eye on Wuthering Waves. While waiting for the PS5 version, I've been watching all of those videos about how generous the game is, and all this time I'm like "okay, but what's the catch ? Is the game super hard without the meta characters ? Is the ammount of pulls necessary to hit pity higher ? Are the banner durations shorter ?" Genuinely shocked that this is just how Kuro is
