Hi there! Yes, please dear God...I pray that it stays pest free. I leeched it yesterday and tons of tiny red worms spilled out. It was gross. I hope I headed off that infestation. We shall see. Yes people still plants. It's absolutely crazy that someone would do that, but it has almost happened to me. As you know a lot of us planty people like to give our house plants a summer vacation, I had some huge plants outside on my back porch last year. My Monstera D and my Bird of Paradise was the target of someone. In the attempt to take my plants it was obvious they were way too heavy for someone to run off with. It had rained and I guess that was a good thing because the plants were soaked, but my plants got dropped and they was both off the tables I had them on about 6 feet away and off the porch. There was no way they got there on their own, and that person left foot prints on my porch. My Bird of Paradise has never been the same. I no longer put my expensive plants outside. I would love to but no more. And camera's are now up. I see it as a sign because I was getting ready to put a bunch even more expensive plants outside.

WOW Stunned. I could just feel your head exploding with what do I do?? So many choices to make. It would have been hard for me too. It did not look crowded so that was good no one shoving you out of the way to grab the best. Love the plants you bought. Feel so bad not knowing better I let my Philodendron Red Emerald trail down for too many years and she has lost her huge leaves. Put her and clippings back up moss poles/trellises and hoping for the best. I know putting my Brazil up instead of hanging has helped her leaves to grow so much larger. My home is only 1300 SQ FT so I am a bit limited on plant size. Thanks so much for sharing. That really was an amazing nursery. Day three my moving pavers to create a safer walkway for old me. I whole lot of work but best get it done now while I still can. My arms are letting me know they are not happy with me. Each paver is 20 pounds and some have to be pulled up and carried over from another location. Going to be great when it is done. 50 foot done so far another 40 or so to go.

There were so many other plants that I wanted to buy, but my budget isn't that big right now for spending crazy money on plants. haha! It sounds like you have quite an outdoor project going at your home! Yikes be careful with those HEAVY pavers. Yikes! Send me a picture when you're done with it...I'd love to see it! Already in for more coffee. LOL 8 more double stones/avers laid and a bunch of weeds dug out of the way . Working down the other side of the walkway now. And pleased I sorted a problem area at the dog yard gate. There is a kind of weird jog in the path but it works for me after walking through the motions to see where my feet actually landed. I call it progress and not too hot out there yet. Going to be soon so I need to get back and going again. Plant play this afternoon. I will stop on the walkway once it gets too hot. I have the back patio and kitty kennel area done. I will send you a photo on instagram later. I have plans to add a succulent bed along the kitty kennel side but no garden soil mix to be had this time of year. Next spring something to look forward to.

Been watching your videos and am really amazed how great your houseplants look so clean and shiny,ok what is your secret to all this,I grow many tropicals in my greenhouses,as of right now it's snowing and 17* here so keeping my greenhouse at 50* is really difficult especially windchill is 5*,right now have been hooked on bromelaids but wanting to get into some of the those philos you been showing there just gorgeous but not sure they could with stand my cool temperatures as I live 12 west of Amarillo Texas called the southern high plains area,any way been enjoying your videos.
Hi Don! Thank you for the kind message! I keep my home humid and warm...I am always cold, even when it is 75 outside...so I keep it warm indoors and my plants love it haha! My secret? Lots of love. Jack's Fertilizer (that's a biggie!) and, neem oil for pest control, and I water on a "schedule." Really, that's it. Thanks for watching my videos...stay warm...it sounds brrrr cold where you are!

Lowes has stakes for 4.99. They are usually near fence stuff. I use those for larger plants... looks like nurseries use those as well! I need to do a video on this!
I drive a super cab Tundra. Lol. Truck gal. I couldn't believe it, but it fit and there was still room. 🤣🤣🤣🤣💚🌿💚🌿🌿🌱💚... that place is about 1 hour 30 mins away from where I live too, so I am glad it fit!
Hi Shannon! Yes, with as many plants as I have, pests are inevitable. I am frequently combating spider mites and mealy bugs...worms...ugh...they are PESTS alright. I try not to freak out and just roll with it...I really believe that plants can feel our energy and emotion, haha. So, I give them extra love and wipe down their leaves with Neem...sometimes I use a soap, alcohol, and water mixture. Once or twice I have taken my plants outside (if the infestation is bad) and used pesticides to treat the pests. I try to avoid doing that, though. When an infestation occurs here, it is HELL to clean all my plants, so I try very hard to avoid those! I have learned to NOT LET my plants TOUCH. Ooohhh...valuable lesson there! Did I mention my extreme hatred for mealy bugs? Oh my, that was a three-day excursion of plant treatments and OMG, it was so much work...mealy bugs are the DEVIL. haha. Hi there! Can you say more? I do not understand your question? Are you asking me if I use artificial light? If so, I do not use it. I only use my grow light for my terrarium. I really do need to get some artificial lighting set up; though, because I am running out of spaces where I can provide adequate lighting. Hi Janet! They ABSOLUTELY would let you pay over the phone and go pick up later. I have done that myself. And yes, the sanseveria are INSANE. The one cylindrica is so massive the camera couldn't even catch how giant it is. Tell them how you found them! There is another place called Merrifield (Gainsville location) that also has great looking sanseveria. Right now, plant bar in Richmond has HUGE ones as well. Been watching your videos and am really amazed how great your houseplants look so clean and shiny,ok what is your secret to all this,I grow many tropicals in my greenhouses,as of right now it's snowing and 17* here so keeping my greenhouse at 50* is really difficult especially windchill is 5*,right now have been hooked on bromelaids but wanting to get into some of the those philos you been showing there just gorgeous but not sure they could with stand my cool temperatures as I live 12 west of Amarillo Texas called the southern high plains area,any way been enjoying your videos.
Hi Don! Thank you for the kind message! I keep my home humid and warm...I am always cold, even when it is 75 outside...so I keep it warm indoors and my plants love it haha! My secret? Lots of love. Jack's Fertilizer (that's a biggie!) and, neem oil for pest control, and I water on a "schedule." Really, that's it. Thanks for watching my videos...stay warm...it sounds brrrr cold where you are!
@@plantluxxe Getting ready to watch your staking up Monstera but mine is already 8 ft tall and needs staking,but I cant bend the stems as they are to big and stiff,so I think I will have to use a rope fro it to climb up to the 12 foot roof of the greenhouse,enjoy your videos

Yes, the arial roots wrap completely around the pole. This plant urs not held up by any other means of support. . . It's truly awesome to look at how intertwined the roots on the pole are!!

Lowes has stakes for 4.99. They are usually near fence stuff. I use those for larger plants... looks like nurseries use those as well! I need to do a video on this!

Do you struggle with pests at all like thrips? if so how do you deal with it?
Hi Shannon! Yes, with as many plants as I have, pests are inevitable. I am frequently combating spider mites and mealy bugs...worms...ugh...they are PESTS alright. I try not to freak out and just roll with it...I really believe that plants can feel our energy and emotion, haha. So, I give them extra love and wipe down their leaves with Neem...sometimes I use a soap, alcohol, and water mixture. Once or twice I have taken my plants outside (if the infestation is bad) and used pesticides to treat the pests. I try to avoid doing that, though. When an infestation occurs here, it is HELL to clean all my plants, so I try very hard to avoid those! I have learned to NOT LET my plants TOUCH. Ooohhh...valuable lesson there! Did I mention my extreme hatred for mealy bugs? Oh my, that was a three-day excursion of plant treatments and OMG, it was so much work...mealy bugs are the DEVIL. haha. @@plantluxxe Hey! your great thx! ya I spent the day yesterday spraying down all my plants with a neem/water/garlic powder/soap mix and the for sure ones got spray and put into water and put alone but ya its been stressful as I love my plants dearly and worry but ill just keep spraying for the next couple weeks.

Hi there! Can you say more? I do not understand your question? Are you asking me if I use artificial light? If so, I do not use it. I only use my grow light for my terrarium. I really do need to get some artificial lighting set up; though, because I am running out of spaces where I can provide adequate lighting. I have to move my plants around frequently so that they get adequate lighting. I have my large plants on rollers. Thanks for watching my videos! Come back soon and often!

I research the mess out of my plants etc And root aphids were new to me! Usually they are on marijuana plants 😳 But ummm calatheas I was shocked plus by the time I realized what they were it was too late

Holy moly!! U are a godsend right now 😇😇 I just googled this place and its 1 hr and 45 minutes from my house. That place is spectacular! As soon as I saw how massive those plants were I just bout fainted.. especially the sansevierias .. I'm almost tempted to call them and ask if I can pay over the phone and pick them up next week! Thank you soooo much for sharing that nursery trip.. although my wallet would disagree!! And keep up the great work with your RUclips channel. You're 👌
Hi Janet! They ABSOLUTELY would let you pay over the phone and go pick up later. I have done that myself. And yes, the sanseveria are INSANE. The one cylindrica is so massive the camera couldn't even catch how giant it is. Tell them how you found them! There is another place called Merrifield (Gainsville location) that also has great looking sanseveria. Right now, plant bar in Richmond has HUGE ones as well. I haven't been top Merrifueld in Fairfax... just the one in Gainsville , near Jiffy Lube (that one has huge plants also)... you should check that one out too since it sounds close to you! I do go there as well !💚🌱🌿🍃🌞🥰
