It’s come to my attention the 20% off deal May only be for Amazon Prime members. I was never told this important bit of information and apologize for any confusion it may have caused. Still a deal at $119 but a disappointment for sure.
i am a prime member though I'm only seeing 10% off on the 12.5 foot ladder via the link you supplied. Still not a bad deal though I'm going to hold off on buying it to see if this is something that will be updated.
Go directly to the WolfWise.com web site. They provide a discount down to out the door $98.00/ free shipping. Although they won't accept the wandering5 additional discount code.
I think these ladders serve a good purpose however I’ve yet to see anyone transition from the ladder to the roof and back. I do really like the ladder on my Jayco, it just feels safe to me. Thanks for the product review, love seeing this stuff.
I have had one of these for three years. I weigh 270 pounds and feel safe climbing my ladder. I take it with me every time I go on an RV trip so I can clean the slide before closing.
I work in maintenance at an industrial manufacturing facility. We have 3 of these style ladders mostly for entering confined spaces with limited access. Admittedly ours are very expensive and are probably abused more than most people would use them. They are very sensitive to dirty, greasy environments. The issues we've had were all due to the dirt not letting the telescoping feature work properly and gumming up the latches. They would probably work great for occasional use in an RV.
Sorry touched wrong spot. Found skillet in back of cabinet all rusty and restored following your instructions. Wife used today to make cornbread stuffing. Worked beautifully, nothing stuck to it and cleaned up like a dream.
I got lucky and picked one up for $35 that was barely used. I'm 215lbs and trust it 100%. Now that I know how good it is, I know it is worth the cost of a new one
Don’t mind too much using the RV ladder (am only 160# so not stressing it that much) but also bought one like you show. Works great for getting up to high spots on the sides of the 5er. Always keep it with me when ever we are out. Great review!!
You're right about the RV ladders - shady. We saw you on RV Facebook group on the discussion on tracking campgrounds review. Thanks for suggesting your channel!
I have had one of these for 2 years. My current travel trailer has no ladder, which is great since I use my telescoping ladder. One hint is to extent the top rung and work your way down. I use it to clean the top of my slide out before bringing it in.
Monday 2pm (east coast) 20% coupon and extra 5% coupon both worked (prime member). Thank you for the heads up, and ladder recommendation, I have been looking at these for a few months. Also, thanks for your video about towing with a gasoline 3/4 ton truck. I have a 33' tt around 8000 lbs loaded up, have been looking for something for a trip out west in 2021. Don't really want the extra expense of a diesel, sounds like the 7.3 might be what I need. New subscriber.
Thank you for this video. My husband was wanting to save up for a new “square shaped” RV ladder because they are rated for higher weight but are fairly pricey. This video not only changed my mind but his AND will save us money, not to mention this ladder can be used multiple places, stores easily, and collapses into an easy carry. Also thx for the sale price alert and discounted code! ☺️ happy travels!
Bought one when we bought our first trailer. Rarely use the trailer ladder. Had read too many instances of the ladder pulling away from the wall creating water leaks. I'm a good sized guy and don't want that headache.
I don’t have an RV ladder on my rig so I am always getting out my A frame to get in the roof to clean it off. I have been wanting one of these for just that reason!!
I've had 1 o these for a couple years now. It's, IMHO, the perfect rv ladder as it takes up very little room and works all over the campground. Mine does not collapse as nicely but it was cheaper. I don't use it much but I have peace of mind knowing I can access the roof since my TT doesn't have one.
Corey, I have one of these telescoping ladders also. It's small enough to store in our FW basement. The only problem with any telescoping ladder is that they are useless to use for awning issues if you had to manually retract some awnings. Can't lean the ladder against an awning while manually retracting the awning.
Just an update: I tried it again this morning and it worked. I had saved the incomplete order in my Amazon basket yesterday with just you affiliate discount attached. This morning I was able to add the 20% discount. Please note that taxes were added, which may only effect our state. Anyway the total was under $100 delivered , which is a really good deal. Thanks!
The ladders are nice but after having a leak from the mounts and causing water damage. I remove it and got the telescoping ladder. I found the leak an it was like opening a can of worms, never again, so after own it for 5 years got a new rv now and that was one thing I didn't want on it. .
Thanks Cory. I’m glad that you shared this. I just bought one and will be perfect for accessing my attic from the only location available, a guest bedroom closet. This will be much lighter and easier than the ladder I’ve been using, that sometimes goes missing in the house for other projects. We won’t be needing it for camping this year, but possibly sometime down the road.
Nice review. I've wanted one because I don't like the one attached to the back of my tt. Just as an FYI... I got the 20% off + your 5% off as well for a total of $90 . Ordered 11/29/20 @ ~ 18:45
My trailer didn't come with a rear ladder...I ended up purchasing a telescoping ladder (different 330 lb rated brand), but agree it's the way to go!! 👍
I can see, in general, the benefit of this ladder, however, I’ve not had any negative experiences with the ladder on my Imagine and I didn’t catch any specifics regarding what problems you have experienced with the OEM ladder on the Imagine and in what way this ladder resolved those problems. Great video for those who don’t have a built-in RV ladder or for those that do but feel it is unreliable for their circumstances.
Our ladder isn't "loose" but it is narrow. If the rear of the RV is the high side on the campsite you'd have to be 8ft tall to reach the first step. The top of the ladder is right at the skylight of the bathroom making for a very discombobulated situation coming up and down. Glad yours is working well for you but ours isn't ideal to say the least.
Shouldn’t be an issue. Almost all of your weight is on the ground. Slide should be fine too. Keep in mind this is just my opinion. I’d be OK with it. You do what you’re comfortable with. 🙂
I'm assuming that you use the ladder to get up on the roof. I've been trying to find a video of someone using a ladder like this to get on the roof. There must be a technique to getting from the ladder to the roof. I'm not afraid of heights, but I am short and worry about how to get from the red rung to the roof without killing myself.
That's a great ladder, and uses air compression to lower the rungs so you it doesn't slam down when putting away. Just a note, that they also make an a-frame version which is basically two of those connected at the top. Chad from Changing Lanes I believe has one, or maybe I saw it somewhere else. A little more pricey but could prove useful when needing to get up there but not lean it against the side of the RV (like when having to fix the awning). Note to RV owners that if their RV didn't come with a ladder attached: that's probably because you don't have a roof rated to walk on, so be weary of crawling on the roof itself.
Amazon is tough to do business with apparently. I’ve spoke to Wolfwise and they’ve adjusted the coupon back to 20% off at checkout. I just checked and it is live.
@@Weird600 Not necessarily. With many manufacturers, a ladder is an expensive optional item and some people just don't want that added cost. Doesn't mean the roof can't be accessed. Almost all RV roofs require annual inspections and maintenance as the Dicor sealant dries out and needs to be replaced periodically.
Yes, it's too heavy for my liking. I got my telescoping ladder from Amazon too. It cost about 100 bucks for the 15 footer. I wish I didn't and never use it. Too heavy and tricky to use. Then I decided to try the folding four section all aluminium ladder from Amazon at under 100 bucks. It's almost half as heavy and for me quicker and easier to set up. I zip tie pool noodle pieces about 1.5 foot long, that I split lengthwise on one side, to each ladder side edge for RV protection and thusly get full use of each different ladder section as needed. I'm using it often and much happier about it than my telescoping one.
I'm currently in the reviewing stage of purchasing a travel trailer not sure if I should go with the Grand Design Imagine like yours or Shadow Cruiser 280qbs I'm against the fence of which to go with I really like both but really like the separate room with bunks in the cruiser, just makes me wonder if the roof is not strong enough to walk on as to why it doesn't come with a rear ladder to get on the roof? I like the ladder you show on your video, if you have any insight as to which might be a better option please let me know what you think. Thanks
@@WanderingWeekends I’ve watched all of your videos, very well done and so informative. May try the new hitch as well. Happy thanksgiving from West Virginia!
just got mine today on Sunday. I was able to get the discounts and my total was just under $97 with tax. I am an Amazon Prime customer and I ordered it the same day your video was posted. The base is different though. My base is not rounded like yours, but is caved inward instead making it look like an unsafer footing. Did yours come that way or did you do something to make it so the grooves are outward and rounded for a better base?
Ordering that ladder now. Thank you for the great information as well as the code. My wife and I were looking for a good ladder and after seeing your video I was sold, I am roughly the same weight as you. Have a great and Happy Thanksgiving. 😊👍🏻
First, I know I'm replying to an old video, but I have this type of ladder, thinking the same thing. Unfortunately it's the same height as my 5th wheel, so I still have to climb it at a 90° vertical, which is the big problem with the rear ladders to start with. Has anybody ever come across a better option for large 5th wheels so you can climb at a slight angle instead of straight up?! I'm at the point of probably renting a scissor lift because I don't trust the rear ladders they use on these things
Perfect timing! I have looked at similar ones over the years, but like you say, they’re either too expensive or too rickety. Thanks for another awesome review, the Black Friday heads/up and the coupon code! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to you and your family!!! Update: Just ordered one...used your code and I also had a gift card from a return I did earlier, so with the Black Friday deal and your coupon code, plus my gift card, I just paid $34.16 for the ladder!!! Merry Christmas to me...LOL Thanks again, Corey!
Well Amazon or WolfWise must still be having issues. Using your link above I went to Amazon and initially the 20% discount button did appear but would not carry over to the basket at check out. The wandering5 - 5% discount did register at checkout. Very confusing. I am going to wait for a couple of hours and try again.
Couldn't find the deal on my phone, but it came right up on the laptop. Added the "wandering5" promo code and got $4 and change off more, down to $91. But apparently you have to be a prime member to get the original 26% off to begin with.
Thanks for the quick reply and Happy Thanksgiving by the way and love the channel! I tried it again and it shows price as $119.99 and no Black Friday sale verbiage
For those wanting a taller version of this ladder they do make a 15 1/2 foot one, but the price is about $188. www.amazon.com/dp/B07MFDHC1W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_1o6WFbE8P7XFR
@@jackkazee4629 yes the water got inside the ladder and now it will no longer collapse properly. I should clarify that mine was not this particular brand but the same type ladder.
So, it's not so much that RV ladders are flimsy. It's the geometry of the ladder. You feel safer on a ladder when it's at an angle. A vertical ladder is just not what most people are used to. You've climbed ladders set up at a 75 degree angle all of your life. Climbing a vertical ladder seems unnatural.
Definitely flimsy and only on with some small screws into who knows what! I agree it's hard to get use to the straight angle but the ladders are garbage. All my RVs they sagged, moved and made nosies when climbing them. The rungs are only held on with one little screw on each side.
I’m told Amazon is working to get the deal back up. Until then still try the wandering5 promo code and see if Wolfwise has fixed the issue on their side.
It’s come to my attention it is for Amazon Prime members. I wasn’t aware at the time of filming. My apologies. Still a deal at $119 but a disappointment for sure.
Hate you feel that way. As we’ve grown companies reach out and ask us to review products. Why not? We get compensated $0. The product is free but otherwise we get nothing. Simply introducing items to you guys that are sent my way. What would you do? Tell these folks no? Sincere question.
Also... take a look at the comments on this vid. Most folks are thrilled with this deal and grateful we brought it to their attention... THATS why we do these type of vids.
@@WanderingWeekends To blanket say RV ladders stink is pretty much click bait. The ladder on my ORV is very beefy and can handle my 230 pounds no problem. I also have a ladder very similar to the one you were given, it’s a great alternative to the RV ladder. I’m glad you can get free things to try out and give your opinion on. If Lippert wanted to give and install new disk brake axles on my trailer, sure I’d let them. New steps, ok, new hitch, I’ll give it a try. Rock solid stabilizers, storage boxes, Gas Stops etc. Glad you can bring all this new stuff to our attention. Put it all on your Amazon store so it’s easy to find, thank you. Hope you and yours had a great Thanksgiving.
The advice is extraordinary simple. This ladder is easier to deal with than the ladders mounted on most RVs. I’m sorry that wasn’t made clear enough. I’m not sure how much easier I could have stated it.
I have one like but American made. I would not recommend this China made one at all. Read all the reviews, there are some bad one where the ladder stopped working correctly or broke. I won't trust the cheap Chinese ones with my life standing on one of these.
We’re all about American made... but this is a nice product with GREAT reviews. Are you implying the ladder you own has perfect reviews? Almost 1000 reviews and this ladder is averaging 4.5 stars.
bs sales pitch and dishonest review👎. why didn't he demonstrate going all the way up on to the roof and then back down? because once your up there its pretty damn sketchy getting your footing and balance before clamoring down.

Merry Christmas to me...LOL Thanks again, Corey!
Sweet deal!!!!
Good call... I really don’t know how it all works. I’ve spoke with them and they’re frustrated with Amazon for this issue.
Thanks Cory, been looking at these and now I have one on the way! BTW is that a camera above the wheel well?
Yes it is! Love the side cameras more than the rear... here is that vid... ruclips.net/video/ERkKWAxQHH4/видео.html
I'm not finding that 20% offer, they are just showing a 10% off on amazon... Any help anyone??
Couldn't find the deal on my phone, but it came right up on the laptop. Added the "wandering5" promo code and got $4 and change off more, down to $91. But apparently you have to be a prime member to get the original 26% off to begin with.
today is Nov. 26th and your link is showing the price at $119.99 - no 20% off as you stated. please advise... thank you.
I wonder if it has to do if you're an Amazon Prime member or not? Are u a member?
It may very well be a Prime member thing. If so I wasn’t informed and I apologize! Still a great deal but a disappointment for sure.
Factory ladders is the way
Trying to place order and only shows 10 % off even at checkout
I e been told they’re working on it. Very frustrating.
I'm having the same problem as Weird600. I can't find the 20% off and the wandering5 extra 5%.
Apparently it is for Prime members. I was not informed. Still a great deal but a disappointment for sure.
@@WanderingWeekends Thanks for that. Still looks worth it.
Do you still recommend this ladder?
I do! I used it twice last week. Haha
@@WanderingWeekends guess that’s the one I’ll get. Thanks
Do you still have the link for it?
I used your link to Amazon and there is no Black Friday deal yet
Weird, I just checked and it worked?
Thanks for the quick reply and Happy Thanksgiving by the way and love the channel! I tried it again and it shows price as $119.99 and no Black Friday sale verbiage
@@WanderingWeekends I wonder if it has to do if you're an Amazon Prime member or not?
Dam Man , Why did you not go on the roof ? That's what your whole video was supposed to be about ! We want to see how its done ! Up and Down Safely !
If you have this ladder you won’t need to get on the roof much. That’s the point. It moves around the entire unit.
@@WanderingWeekends what are you kidding ! Repairs for AC to recalking maintain , many reasons , solar ect !
Key word in my statement... much... Sorry I didn’t get up there. We’re just hillbillies with a YT channel. Definitely not professionals. Cheers.
For those wanting a taller version of this ladder they do make a 15 1/2 foot one, but the price is about $188.

One major drawback is DO NOT GET THIS WET. Mine was ruined after using it while washing my roof.
Oh interesting! Thanks for the heads up!
What happened? Did the water get inside the ladder? Just curious.
Make sure to add their like Ryobi tools they're not for professionals don't doubt me on this I learned the hard way,,,,,BAHAHAHA
I am an Amazon Prime member and it is showing $119. :(
I’m told Amazon is working to get the deal back up. Until then still try the wandering5 promo code and see if Wolfwise has fixed the issue on their side.
Wolfwise has added a 20% off coupon at checkout until the issue is fixed. I just checked and it is live.
the code dont work, wandering5
It’s come to my attention it is for Amazon Prime members. I wasn’t aware at the time of filming. My apologies. Still a deal at $119 but a disappointment for sure.
@@WanderingWeekends I am a prime member and it still will not work.
I just used your link to the ladder on Amazon & they still have it for $119.00???
Lemme check it. I had to fix it earlier.
I just checked and it’s working for me... weird.
@@WanderingWeekends I'm a prime member and the price is 120 with a 10% off coupon now rather than 20%
"Leery"
Is very important to me where it's made which was never said in video.Chinese made products I would never knowingly buy🇨🇳👎
Used to enjoy your channel, lately all I see is a new product you endorse and more than likely get compensated for.
I came here looking for advice. Unfortunately, I found a commercial :(
The advice is extraordinary simple.
I see RUclips has turned into just another advertising channel.
Hate you feel that way. Keep in mind while the products we review are generally free we are compensated $0.
bs sales pitch and dishonest review👎. why didn't he demonstrate going all the way up on to the roof and then back down? because once your up there its pretty damn sketchy getting your footing and balance before clamoring down.
Yep, ya busted me. I’m just an ole ladder hustler. 🤣😂.
Have a great day and be safe out there.
