People have more money than sense. For the cost of the full S5 bike I could travel the world and experience a race on every continent on my trusty CAAD 10 and still have change left over for a coffee and sandwich. The world has gone mad!
Dude, who cares? Tour pros have won many stages and the tour itself on the s5, including its use on climbing stages foregoing the much lighter R5. Weight has nothing to do with winning races- power and talent does.

Other bikes they tested: - Simplon Pride 2: 199W - Storck Aerfast: 201W - Canyon Aeroad: 202W - Cervelo S5: 202W - Cannondale SystemSix: 203W - Factor One: 206W - Scott Foil: 206W - Cube Litening: 207W - Steven Arcalis: 207W - Trek Madone: 207W - Van Rysel RCR: 207W - Pinarello Dogma F: 208W - Sworks Venge: 208W - ... - Colnago V4RS 221W (perhaps the most successful bike in the last year) So not the fastest, but not slow either. But overall they still gave the SL8 the best ever overall score of 1,3 (best being 1,0), because of the stiffnes, weight and compliance. Totally skip the Zipp hookless not even made for inner tubes. That's just stupid, again, NEWMEN. Next issue, customer can't pick crank or stem length. Sure, width and change of shape.
