- This is my 96 Mustang Cobra. Recently installed Borla Catback and BBK o/r H pipe. A few mods JLT RAI, 18' Chrome Saleens (Authentic), Eibach Sportlines, Ford Racing 4.10s, Big Break kit, Subframe connectors, MGW Shifter, Cobra Bob Shifter Gasket, 15% Window Tint (all the way around), Thanks all, more to come soon.
Beautiful car mate! Nothing is cooler than a Mustang Cobra. IMO

This is the muscle sound I grew up with. Not sure what the hell Ford did after 2004, but i've never heard a finer song being played than by the 1996-2004 4v. Even 2vs make you think they're 500hp machines by their tone.

That's the first time I've heard a Borla exhaust on an SN95 sound good. Sounds really good!
Yes it is a 96 Mystic...I miss that car, but have moved onto something else with a little more power.
No, did not wreck it. Sold it and bought a GT500.
Sounds good but Flowmasters sounds better on them car's.

what kind of borla cat back is that, and what's it sound like now with long tubes?
It's Borla mufflers and custom piping from a guy here in OH. I would take a sound clip for you but it's currently getting work done at the shop. Should have it back next weekend with a new V2 S-trim setup...I can post what it sounds like once I get it back...

DunkinDoggies , good morning. It had BORLA SYSTEM WITH custom tailpipes. I HAD THESE ON MY 1996 MUSTANG COBRA. THEY ARE FROM THE BORLA SYSTEM THAT IS FOR 94-95 MUSTANG, BUT YOU COULD USE THEM ON ANYTHING FROM FOXBODY TO 2004. I had a local speed shop fab up the piping, I’m a big fan of Borla and when I learned they didn’t make a system for my car I figured I would make one myself. I hope that helps.

Sorry, one more question, do you remember by chance what the muffler style was? I understand it was from a catback system for a 94-95, but I'm trying to find just the muffler and there's multiple catback systems for that year. If you by chance remember what the exact muffler was that would help a lot. Thanks.

Those mufflers with the custom piping but I used the Borla tips.
