The “valley” below is also a hot bed of activity for good Dinos on our map at least - not sure with your Dino mods but good chance I’d bet.
i think it's a nice little detail that you're using the shed for the wood. the shed has a roof and i'm pretty sure that wood rots in the rain. for rocks it doesn't really matter i think, rocks in the rain would just grow moss i think.
Whats good about Sunrise is that its also ridiculously fast once you get some momentum so you can outrun pretty much everything if need be. Hope you also get a breeding partner for Sunrise.

😂 you got to experience the megalania overspawn when I was testing a different way of making them spawn lol. I had to just change it so they had a chance of spawning in a titanoboa spawn since the other way as you can see they were spawning too much lol. Oop lesson learned. That blue and white megalania was pretty 😭 (won’t see megalanias all over anymore lol)
I put a gate at end of the bridge and then to the left of the castle (facing the bridge) there is a ramp coming up if you put a gate there then you are sorted. Also if you turn on low light setting then it looks better in dark areas.

The QOL+ mod has torches that don't need wood to burn. It's essentially the remnants of the S+ mod from ASE, the parts that didn't get incorporated into the base ASA game.
That castle is gunna be mint when it's finished haha, loved the video. Circa's RP deco is an amazing mod has wooden torches, wall torches, braziers (all dont require fuel too) the much more. Also has loads of different beds, wardrobes, all sorts tbh should give it a try 👌
Circa's RP Deco mod has a bunch of different lighting options that don't go out. And a bunch of cool stuff for decorating. The RR Medieval RP Deco Mod has some lighting that doesn't go out and decor too. I think it's by the same person that makes the star animals mods. I'm using both mods and have loved decorating my base. It makes it look much more lived in 😂

How did you guys build the upstairs floor to be able to place stuff? I can't figure out how without having foundations half through through the floor sticking into the downstairs rooms
I think it’s the automated ark mod or something like discovery or Gia mod that will supply wood into all your torches at all times like the one to fill all your turrets with bullets and another to fill all your plant species with fertilizer too

Dwarven Structures and Arkitect Structures mod have the automatic doors so you don’t have to worry about opening or closing just get close for it to activate. You can also have it only open or only close automatically. I have it just close automatically so I don’t accidentally let anything in lol
in oder to build on the second floor. youfoundation the whole first floor the piller up to the second floor to snap ceilings. i had to do this in my build in here

You shouldn’t have to use a mod for torches that dont go out. You can probably change an InI setting to achieve the same thing. Which is definitely possible for S+ torches
I started playing this map yesterday. Immediately murdered by NPCs. Fine. Respawned six times, immediately murdered. Managed to finally make a small shack somewhere quiet. NPC village suddenly appeared and I was murdered. I then decided to cheat. Spawned a Thylacoleo in, ruined everyone. A genuinely much better experience 😂
remove the pull feature mod. then Add CG Structures. it’s full on S+ from ASE. with torches that don’t use fuel and run with day/night on their own. better benches like ase.

QOL + mod in ASA is ASEs S+/SS, include the auto pull system, and torches that do not require fuel.
Pretty sure there is a build mod that has doors that will fit your entrance, so you don't have to use a dino gate.

Suggestion time!!! : Downstairs could be for tames, and upstairs for your necessities!!!
Upstairs is best for tames as the ceiling is high enough for gigas

Try using a fence foundation for placing the walls, it might help but than its ascended so I could be wrong.

Thats my favorite area to build. That castle wasn't there, in ASE ver. It was just an open spot, with only the bridge to get to it.

SS-Super structures and Eco garden both have torches that require no wood. I use them all the time.

You can also set your doors so they only open in one direction with the radial menu

its not a mod, when you first click to place the foundation, you can spin it or look up and down to move it up and down :)
