When I lived in Queens in the 50's and 60's the walk you are taking has always been one of my favorites, with friends and visitors. It works in either direction, you see so much in a relatively short time.
When I took my young children around that area, it was extremely difficult to find a restroom, most restaurants would not allow you to use theirs unless you came in to eat. The Plaza hotel, as luxurious as it was, never failed to allow us to use there's. They knew small children "got to go!
The very first walk I ever took in New York City back in 1991 was more or less this - from 5th Avenue Station on the N/R to Rockefeller Center to Times Square. I eventually ended up living in NYC for most of the 1990s. Miss it greatly - will be visiting in January!
Hey this is my first watching you and i loved it cause you're like a tour guide / historian! i love that you just dont walk! you are making me feel like im walking with you. love from Philippines
Hello, I've never been to New York City before, always wanted to go. Your video as motivated me to visit your city soon. I've always wanted to see Madison Square Garden. Thank you for posting your video...
Thanks @ActionKid for this vlog. Midtown is my fav part of the city. How I miss waking the area. So beautiful, makes me miss NYC for a bit. I loved visiting Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. It’s beautiful.
Hey AK, you nearly showed the hotel where I stayed in 1986, the Paramount, it was called Century Paramount back then, with Howard Johnson's cafe on the corner. Happy days.
Rockefeller center looks quite impressive to me anyway ! Those mexican decorations looked quite nice as well 👍!!! Thank you for sharing !!! That bird was awesome 👍
20:30 Really enjoyed the Menchaca Día de los Muertos outdoor art exhibit. The sculptures are very detailed and colorful! 42:37 I've been curious about that art installation, and I'm glad you finally went inside to showcase the cool fountain! Thank you for sharing this walk, AK! 😎There's always something new to see each time. 😀
Hello, we have a trip from Spain to New York for November 8 and my wife, due to having passed the covid, has the complete vaccination schedule of Spain 1/1 from pfizer, but it seems that the American government does not contemplate the 1/1 guideline as complete. Can we travel? Thank you
From November 8, visitors from the UK and the EU need to be Double Vaccinated against Covid19 and must produce proof of a Negative Test for Covid 19 taken 72 hours before travel. Visitors may also need to complete a Locator Form. Check the rules which apply to your country.

@Jurgen Rathjen Agree! Department stores can also be a good place for this type of "break". 🚽🧼❣
@@CindyG-NYC Your right!! Macys was also a good spot.
The restroom situation in New York is difficult and challenging at times. It always feels like you need to search for them.

It doesn’t have the energy that it had! Not many fashionable people on the streets, half of the stores are gone!
