I have been a fan of Chick Corea for 40 years. This is an incredibly good interpretation of Spain. This young man, Matteo Mancuso, is worth listening to. He is a great musician.
A big round of applause to the two musicians who "accompany" Matteo's virtuosity. Really very good.

The rhythmic interplay... the tightness, the soul and maturity, the control... this is just an incredible display of talent, skill and a wonderful sense of musicality and of the contributions of each musician and working as a beautifully-supporting unit.

I've heard many many many arrangements of this song, but this version by far is my favorite. Very creative and slick. And all solos are incredibly melodic.

I loved the tone/mood changes by AND solo by Matteo AND the bass solo was seriously smoking hot too! Wow...I am blown away by it all. Great job guys! I'm listening to this again now...

Excellent guitarist, currently the best in the world. In Venezuela we had a guitarist who played folk music with the technique of the fingers on the electric guitar and even I imitated him in the 80s: Enrique Atencio ... unfortunately the pick technique used by the greats of American rock curtailed the possibility that classical technique was used on the electric guitar. But this young Italian guitarist, Mancusso, has brought the guitar back to its technical origins, which is the use of the fingers.

Just came here from watching another youtube vid of the great Guthrie Govan playing through Spain - the usual million nonstop notes a minute all over the neck, screaming tone throughout, classic old school plectrum pyrotechnics...zero dynamics. Now listening to these young guys and this unique original arrangement, and this amazing guitar kid Matteo...so fresh and new, such a deft touch, mixing up tastefully light to overdriven tones, incredibly crisp clean runs without over cranked distortion, melodic flowing music not just machine gun notes. Just astounding, new generation kids, next generation technique.
Can't tell you guys how many Jazz Fusion shows I was a part of in its heyday back in the 70's .. None of the Combos I saw and played with had anything on you guys .. Awesome Playing and Tone !!
1:02 - there's something beautiful, soulful and warm about Matteo's tone here, well for the whole piece really. What an amazing talent.

Witnessing this gives me real hope for the future of music authenticity being in such extraordinary capable hands of high caliber musicians to carry the torch further into the future. I grew up exposed to the music industry throughout my childhood years and as an adult have seen and worked with many incredibly talented musicians and yet I’m truly blown away with what I’m seeing here.
