Can I just say your channel has changed my life. I use my Airbrush more. Pinkle has transformed my world. Your sense of humor is amazing. Thank you sirà
By your likes combined, I am... Your dad! Missed solid joke opportunity lol. Loved the vid. Going to do my first airbrush 3d model this week. Pray for me and my family..
Mr groundefftected ... good afternoon to you sir ... Been working my way through your videos which are great 👍.. Im just getting into 3d modeling and painting ... and there are so many different colours of paint needed .. but are there some that a newbie like my self should aquire first ? .. key colours or specific sets ?.. BTW already picked up some deck tan 😂.. Many thanks and keep up the good work !.
Your stuff is awesome I have seen most of your videos and some more than two or three times. I found a gold paint you might can use if you could find it over their it is called LIQUID LEAF from Hobby Lobby the Classic Gold variety. It works good and looks good I don't know if it will airbrush or not I have not tried it. Keep up with the awesome painting and videos they have helped me a lot. THANKS.
I’m still struggling to print models that are actually attached to the supports. I keep getting prints at the end of the day and all I see on the build plate are supports
I never had any problems. So I guess unless you haven’t managed to clean them properly then yea degrease is a good idea. But alcohol is a degreaser anyway so seems a bit redundant and just extra work
I've always found that without primer there's a good chance that masking tape will pull the paint to some extent whereas with primer it very rarely if ever does. So my 2 cents is that it's just a safer method to prime before painting just to mitigate the risk of having to repaint/touch up parts that have lost paint to removing tape. I've also found that with primer the finish adheres better. Without primer I've been able to scratch/rub the paint off the model quite easily in comparison to a primed surface.
This is just to answer a question that gets asked a million times. And I did mention it’s better to use primer in the video. But also if anything this just proves that it’s more about the prep before any paint that matters more even the best primer won’t stick to a poorly prepared model.
Yea. It won’t be as accurate but will do a very similar job. Just make sure you thin your paints over the top though so that they aren’t too thick when you brush them
Heart kid did get screwed but not because his power sucked but that they didn't let him go ham controlling massive insect swarms or commanding great whites. Dude was potentially Beastmaster turned up to 11 but all we ever saw was him talking to monkeys or something. Beautiful job on the skin. Weird skin colors can be tricky IMO.
@@Groundeffected Well.. I got a visual... I supposed I shall need some therapy... Love your stuff... well not your free balls but the other stuff... I mad this worse... 🤣
He's wearing a bikini. His skin is actually supposed to be like clean water, shiny with a blue tint. In the cartoon he has these sparkle all around him to show he was pristinely clean. Each of the stupid kids ring colours are represented in his colouring. Amusingly, there is also a Captain Pollution, which five adult polluters summon. Dorky 90s crap. :) For chromes, if you haven't check out Vallejo's metal colours, it's one of the best metallic paint lines.
You can even paint some pastic without primer. I made a ton of color swatches on polystyrene spoons that don't have a primer layer underneath. Trick is to go light at first and let the initial layer dry before adding more layers. Nice paint job, BTW.
well that broke my brain 🤣 no primer? what wizardry is this? do you need to sacrifice a goat first? also I have another annoying question for you someone elses dad, how lng do you cure your prints for? Im using sunlu abs like (thanks for answering that Q), i ran a few tests and turns out 3 minutes is the max cure i could do before the print warped, does this sound right to you?🤔
Damn eco warriors are now taking over comics!!! Skin reminds me, slightly, of Dr Manhattan but unfortunately Captain Planet does not have the ‘package’. Amazing job though Brent
Captain Planet, he's our hero... gonna take pollution down to zeroooooh 😁
We were such dorks.

That base is gorgeous! 😊

By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet! :D
I used to love that cartoon as a kid :D
Me too but it’s kinda weird now lol
Again splendid work. I love your style
Love the content and the "free-balling" commentary! Keep up the good work!
Killer work! Thank you man! Always a pleasure to see you work
Thank you dude.
Excellent job as usual! Thanks
I'm pleased to see that your dad is so good at this.
Thank you so much. In my country is difficult to find a good primer. I always had the doubt if I could paint without primer and you solved it hehe.
love your videos. Been binge watching them today. Cannot wait to try some of your techniques because I am horrid at figures lol
Educational, inspirational, and FUNNY! BING BAM BOOM!
captain spandex looking good 😂 cant wait for the next model
I love your work, it’s all beautiful.
Thank you so much!
holy mullet Batman!!!! never noticed before

One of the top themes of the day. Denver the last dinosaur was also.....a banger.
Tight buns but not rogues buns.
Ive been eye off that model but it said it was a private commission and not for sale, guess I know where for now
damn! love this one a lot
well done !!
Love your stuff!

You are too good!
I’m still struggling to print models that are actually attached to the supports. I keep getting prints at the end of the day and all I see on the build plate are supports
You have suction cupping happening (add relief holes) or you need stronger or more supports.
Gooooo Planet!
OK is it just me, or does he look like Patrick Swayze??...
awesome throwback! How about Darkwing Duck next? lol
where i can get this file stl captain planet ?
Thank you for NOT playing music with police sirens in it. Very distracting while listening to you while in my car.
Was there police sirens? 😂
@@Groundeffected in many of your videos yes. well it sounds like (USA) police sirens.
@@mechanical_bob6591 just keeping you on your toes!!
Great job and will definitely take a look at the new STL maker. Also, is it just me or does Cap look an awful lot like Jack Burton?
Would washing all of the parts with a degreaser like purple power after curing make the process any better?
I never had any problems. So I guess unless you haven’t managed to clean them properly then yea degrease is a good idea. But alcohol is a degreaser anyway so seems a bit redundant and just extra work
Great job Dad!!! lol
That's gorgeous! Space Ghost next? Everyone loves painting white and yellow... 🫠

I don’t own an airbrush, can I get the zenithal highlights using a white primer aerosol spray can ?
Yea. It won’t be as accurate but will do a very similar job. Just make sure you thin your paints over the top though so that they aren’t too thick when you brush them
Thanks Brent , I’ll give it a try 👍
I’d love to see a video about your airbrush. I can’t get mine to give me any real pigment and its dripping water everywhere on the piece too…
Cool
"Your paint will still stick to the 3D printed model without primer as long as a few things are ADHERED to..." 😂
Hahahahahaha like the paint to the model?
Some words!
I always thought “free balling” was wearing pants with no under wear😂😂
Really needs a Don Cheadle portrait option.
Agreed. I think he said he was gonna make one.
The screaming head looks more liek Captain Pollution for some reason.
You should do the 28cm Vampire Marcus.....I'd love to see you do the skin....i'd love to see your techniques😢...

Beautiful job on the skin. Weird skin colors can be tricky IMO.
Yea. He did kinda get a the short stick tho
He actually looks like Kurt Russell. Lol! I wonder if he would have played the part if they made a movie back in the 90s.
It was based on Tom cruise 🚢
It's ironic that every product used to make the model of captain planet was most likely made and transported using petroleum products.
they shoulda just called him...uh..."Capt. Mullet".....or "Lawn Mullet Man", uh....or something.
EARTH, WIND, FIRE , WATER..... (Everyone giggling and pointing) ... 😢HEART
He looks like Kurt Russell oO
Finding the guy who says he is my dad free balls... traumatic....
Hahaha free ball all over the place!!

Finally something fresh! Not anymore DC and Marvel heroes! Paint some anime characters!
Maybe Rebecca Cyberpunk Edgerunners by CA3D?
We really need a new formulation of paint that sticks to 3d prints like super glue.
Seems to
Stick alright for me.

Lol it was so cool back then but so dumb now days hahaha
Я был классе в 5, может даже младше, когда этот мультфильм был популярен (чей персонаж мы сейчас видим)
Me too
Bikini and Crop Top... He was way ahead of his time...
Way ahead.
@@Groundeffected plus all those colors. definitely came out of comic book CLOSET earlier than most.

It’s gonna depend on the curer I do 5 mins on one of mine and 8 on another
@@Groundeffectedwhich curers do you have?
decktan.
Real men wear mullets...gooooo planet! Or something

Thanks my duuuude
He is totally not a just stop oil man he was more a stop illegal pollution man.
7:10 Let's hope his suit isnt made with any oil byproducts because that would just make him a hypocrite.
Lol
First!!
I dont always use primer, and the paint sticks but it does depend on the paint
Yea. It’s more just a thought experiment, doesn’t really matter until the paint doesn’t stick 🤣
@@Groundeffected it did stellar work though
