@@kristinadidushok5583 horrible
tho i started it again, it became a bit longer agAIN but i found a solution
Thanks for showing me how to stop the square madness! I made this for my daughter for Christmas '23 using HomeTown "Aspen Tweed" Super Bulky (6) 6.5mm. It is about 5 ft x 5ft and weighs a ton! My husband told our daughter, every time you use this, it's a hug from Mom.
Thank you so much for this! I just needed a little reminder on how to start and end rows in this stitch and you showed this so well! Im gonna start to make the Taylor Swift-dress now! cant wait!
You are so welcome! That dress is EVERYWHERE!
July 11 finally completed the baby blanket (11 days after due date)
First inconvenience; baby decided to born 3 days early. Second inconvenience, I was down with a flu?
I made it 40 inches square in white yarn. After it was finished, I pass a string of thick baby chick yellow Yarn Bee through every single space on diagonal, leave some extra at the end of each row and tied two together to hang as fringe. My right hand wrist is complaining. Mission accomplished thanks to your tutorial. 💕
Awww...it sounds adorable!
My first baby blanket was done when the baby was 3 months old.
They still like the blankets. It's function over time becomes different.
I made this and I loved how it comes out and fast.
So lovely! Can't wait to see project you've got coming! Thank you!
Very well explained. Thank you for the bonus of fast-forwarding the dc stitches while keeping the verbal instructions clear. 🎉❤😊 I am hoping to use this for my Valentine’s Day sweater. 😅
Thank you. I was making a granny square to go around my ball jar, but it was too tall as a square and this will help me make it longer with the right width. 😊💜
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of things crochet. You are an awesome instructor. I always enjoy watching and learning from the videos you upload.
Thank you for sharing! I love it! Will be making for sure 😄
I like how you make the sides even. Thanks!
Oh I love this tutorial. Thank You so much for teaching this. I love your emails and all your tutorials. 😃💖
So glad!
Ty so much I’ve been single crocheting for 2 yrs u till this video saved me
Wonderful.. love simple an quick stitches. Thank you
Thanks so much for the great review! You do an excellent job.
This was extremely helpful. Thank you!
Nice, I didn't know it could be worked that way. It sounds like it can be worked up faster than the traditional square. 😍
I love this! I’m brand new to crochet and I love this pattern. Your video is so, so easy to follow. Thank you!
I'm so glad!
Thank you. Simple and basic 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for the multiple.
Very clear and helpful! Love it 💜
Glad you liked it!!
Such an easy pattern to follow! Thank you for this tutorial!
Glad you like it!
Super clear video and instructions, new stitch for me, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Started the baby blanket last night, redo 3 rows 3 times 😜
I succeeded finally, going into my sixth row (40 inches per row)
My average so far is 15 min @row
My calculation is 15 hours. I'm making a 40 x 40. Hopefully have it ready before the baby is born (June 30) I'll keep you updated 👠
You can do it!!
Did you get it done? How's baby?
@@Enoo-Wynn I did make it, beautiful. The baby is now 18 months old. Adorable creature 💕 thanks for caring ❤️
@@socorromedrano7399 I love toddlers! So cute and curious about the world.
Thank you!! I made a giant granny square and wanted to make it rectangular. This is perfect 🥰
Wonderful!
Thank you!
Thank you ❤
Oh, I love this! I cannot wait to see the free pattern! 🥰
Your videos are the BEST!
I so love this!! Will your new project with this pattern include a border?🥰
Very nice
GREAT!! SO glad I found this!! I've wanted to make a granny blanket but I would've done a GIANT granny SQUARE!! not fun THANK YOU!
Glad you like it!!
Idk why this one is tripping me up. I’m doing it but goodness I’ve redone so many rows twice. Lol
Nice video! Thinking of a sc row first before starting the granny square rows then end with a sc row to use this for a shawl. Any thoughts to accomplish this. Thanks.
Thanks for this, Is there a schema to follow?
Hii!😊 is it okay if I just skip 4 chains at the beginning (dc and the first chains which is a space for that ch 3) and at the last dc(first row) I do not chain 1 before that dc? So I skip just two stitches between those clusters? Love the tutorial!❤🫶
It is hard for me to not miscount as I’m doing the first row off of the chains rather than a typical single crochet row? I am trying to adapt this to start over a single crochet
Can you do 4 dc instead of 3
Do you have a tutorial on how to increase granny square stitch? Can't find tutorial anywhere on youtube 😭
How to decrease and increase?
Do u have to work in the back bumps of the chain? I hate doing that lol…will it look the same going into the regular chain??
Hi! No, you don't have to. You can do yours like you normally do and as long as you have the correct number of stitches you'll be fine!
Would it be possible not to chain 1 in between clusters if I want my holes smaller or is that not how it works?
It would shrink the row, the chain one in between is to keep the project a consistent size
How many rows do you recommend for a 180 sts blanket?
Chain sts btw :)
What size hook did you use?
For this tutorial I used an I/5.5mm hook
At one point when you reached the end of the row you said to chain 4. At the end of that next row you said to chain 3. Should it be 3 or 4?
This stitch is a 2 row repeat, so 1 row you will ch-4 (counts as a dc + ch1) then the 2nd row will be ch-3 (counts as a dc)...then alternate those 2 rows.
If anyone needs her to slow down, you can adjust the playback speed in your settings.
I can't tell if she's putting it in the actual hole or double crocheting it into the first stitch
The stitches are worked into the chain spaces from the previous row.
I’m an absolute beginner, as in I started yesterday and sadly I already had to stop the tutorial at 1:30min because you didn’t show where I should continue to loop through… 😭 even playing this at 0.25 I couldn’t figure it out
all 3 double crochet get placed in the same back loop the first one went into, i believe she mentioned it before she started the stitch!
Can you slow down and start over?😊
You really don't go into detail on how to "read" the chains. Like how do you count to the top chain? Perhaps I could find another video that pays a bit more attention to "reading" the work.
You go too fast for a beginner. We will never know how to do a granny stitch
Go into settings and turn the speed down
With all due respect, some stitches are just a little too complicated for total beginners and this video isn’t labeled for beginners. Lots of pausing and rewatching helps. 🙂
Then slow the video down
