- A flooding emergency is overwhelming cities and towns in parts of Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota. At least two people have died in the floods and hundreds have been rescued. Other parts of the country are still dealing with a stifling heat wave. NBC News' Shaquille Brewster reports.

Brazil went to the same in some parts of the country. Southwest was hit hard. People loses houses, life’s, Brigde’s were destroyed and the economy suffered. God bless the American people.
What is the most unfortunate about humanity is the fact that even after thousands of years of "progress" and "evolution", it *STILL* does not seem to grasp who its True Three Enemies are. :/ Instead, they fight amongst themselves until this type of disaster strikes.
To be CRYSTAL clear, The Three are: Nature, Space, and Time. Mere mortals cannot defeat the last two, and it can BARELY deal with the first unless it is literally operating as a global team, functioning "as one". Such a shame.

This is all north of the Missouri and Mississippi River and drains down south. I don't know if anyone in Missouri, Nebraska, Alabama, Louisiana, ect. Are actually going to be impacted
Minnesota and Iowa have over 10 million people. South Dakota has about 1 million. The areas that are the hardest hit make up over half the world's corn and pork production. They also some of the best beef in the USA. Also the USA's top egg company, and a surprisingly large tourism industry. Iowa has the USA's 2nd best public education, and the three states have about a third of the USA's federal and national departments. Also, I think the number one issue for the upcoming election is how much one party or the other cares about lives? Or is that not true?

The places not used to all the rain are getting it…..those of us used to it aren’t getting a drop. It’s not rained here in weeks and we usually have mushy ground this time of year. I’m watering the dang lawn at this point. I never water the lawn.

In times like this, when you don't have a home, remember that many Americans didn't have a home all year last year and all this year, and have had to live on the streets. There called the homeless. When you get to put your home back together and get to live in comfort again the homeless is still out there, needing a room. Let try to convince the USA leadership to help these people in there time of need and those homeless people that are in need everyday. Reminders
No one needs to be homeless. There are so many shelters, programs and agencies who work with the homeless. Some people are mentally ill, some are addicts and some just don't want to follow the rules for the help. Homelessness will not end until we force people to mental institutions and rehab programs.

you have to build infrastructure to catch the water, then store it for future use, otherwish it just floats downstream to the be used or until it runsoff in the ocean. I lived in LA before the rains of this past year, and the drought there at the time was unrelenting, so I imagine farmers whether told they cant grow or just go bankrupt, discoved they cant grow if they don't get rain, its just like its always been for farmers, no rain, no taco.

👍people have been lucky for the last 10000 years or less. The climate was relatively stable in that period. In the few thousand of years before that, sealevels rose approx 300 feet. I hope that that repeats, so people can learn what global change really means.
Mankind has most certainly been very, very, VEERRRYYY lucky for at least 12,000+ years. Ironically enough though, it could easily be argued that over the past 1200 or so years, humanity has LITERALLY trod forth in the wrong directions. Instead of recognizing its perilously unlikely plight to even *exist* in a Universe which is utterly unkind and inhospitable to organic life, in summation... it simply "fugged around and found out". :/ It's embarrassing, too. Especially when you consider humanity's potential (as a whole).

The increasingly warming atmosphere holds more water vapor and when it rains it dumps a helluva lot more precipitation. The Heartland Institute (beloved of Republicans and MAGAts) labels these new record extremes - just weather.
Prayers fall on stony ground, and we must boot the climate change denying ignoramus crowd out of office, or just accept that the extremes are gonna get far worse, much faster. It may be too late to change this trend, but that's no reason to stop trying.
Waiting for people that hate the Federal Government complain the Federal Government did not help them fast enough. Also, some of these cities and town are build on the flood plain - should taxpayers be on the hook for rebuilding these towns?

I am just so frustrated and sorry for the suffering. We will never again see the long term climate we grew up with. I ponder how to have solidarity with people who've lost a part of themselves for the very first time or for the repeat of times. They've got to survive and at the same time begin to emotionally recover. Rain falls on republicans and democrats. Same with drought, same with tornadoes. It freaking doesn't care how you'd like to separate. Best chance of survival is to care for one another not just in the emergencies. Perhaps that's the only chance of survival.
