    We have an updated video out that’s far easier when combined with a new bundle available for purchase at tesbros.com. The bundle includes everything you need to remove and install, including new emblems (black or chrome options) and 3D printed brackets. Video:

    I read “easy” removal and was like, “cool, let’s check it out”.. then saw 3d printed parts and like 15 tools 😅. I’ll totally let the pros do this.

      Totally get that. If you’re still interested in the DIY route, we have a new product that includes everything you need to do this including new emblems so you don’t have to reuse your old ones. It’s got the 3D printed brackets and all. The only tool we don’t give is a drill lol. Here’s the video about it:

    Using a drill and disc to get the residue off is a terrible idea. Just roll the bulk of it off with a finger and then polish. I wouldn't recommend pushing a razor blade TOWARDS your fingers either!!

    Wouldn’t it be a lot easier to place painters tape where the point of the Tesla t is to align? Seems like you did a lot of extra work but it still works.

      The whole bonnet was wrapped in PPF so they removed the badge before the PPF went on. Therefore you can’t just put tape where the previous badge was, hence the template

    how about ordering a replacement emblem? i've heard of some people doing that if they plan to do a wrap. Reason I say that, I want to plastidip the emblem and wondering if would be easier to do it on the replacement and just apply it instead of the original.

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  3 года назад

      You can order a new one or use the original. It's really up to how much work you want to do to remove it safely and then clean it. Also, after you put it back over the wrap, you can plasti dip it while on the car. OR you can simply order a new one already the color you want and apply that one. Lots of options!

      @@tesbros nice! I’ll be taking the emblems off my Model Y to apply PPF and thinking about creating my own template for the Y. But the aggressive curve on the back trunk can be challenging for a 3D print that doesn’t take forever to print. Might do a 1mm print that is measured to curve with the trunk lid.

    I'm considering investing in a tesla but I live in Texas where your car WILL be vandalized out here for having the logo. I'm a born and raised Texan who doesn't think what you drive should make you want to key a persons car. So I have been wondering if you could remove the logo without damaging the car. Thanks!

    • @tesbros

      So sorry to hear that! Goo gone, microfiber, and elbow grease might get it. I would suggest the 3M eraser used in the video around 5 min mark - 3M Eraser (drill attachment) www.amazon.com/Stripe-Wheel-07498-Diameter-Mandrel/dp/B00063VT0G/ref=sr_1_3 - We use the 3M eraser at around 6 min mark in this video as well and you can see there's a lot more gunk to get off here - ruclips.net/video/12LCPq9Yx80/видео.html - just takes patience

    • @tesbros

      The emblem is a little more delicate and you can’t hold it while using the drill anyway so it’s a bit harder to do it that way

      that makes sense ... (then, the next think that popped into my mind is: using the drill like a bench grinder, and applying the emblem delicately to the eraser disc, one side at a time ... just thinking out loud :)
