- The Mayor of Aberdeen is apologizing for a social media post he made over the weekend that floated the idea of the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump being staged.
Mayor Douglas Orr made the post on his Facebook page Saturday night, within hours of the shooting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania that injured the former president and killed a person in the crowd.

At the very least Mr. Orr failed to consider his public visibility as an elected official in Washington state.Orr evidently did not have facts and clearly did not proofread his post.
