I remember seeing Nadal vs Agassi in Montreal in 2005. I was 7 years old, this match made me fall in love with tennis. I remember telling my parents to hurry and finish up grocery shopping at Costco so i could watch the 2008 Wimbledon finals, i remember Costco showing the match and people being glued to the TV 😂. I remember waking up at 4am to watch Rafa and Federer battle it out at the AO final in 2009. I remember staying up later on a rainy Monday night to watch Nadal complete the career slam against Djokovic at US open in 2010. I remember Nadal's iconic 2013 run on the hardcourt season, making predictions with my high school friends over who would win that USO final. I remember how i wasn't sure Rafa would ever come to form in 2015 and seeing him being beaten easily on clay by the likes of Murray and Djokovic. I remember my happiness in 2017 seeing two of my idols seemingly make a comeback and turn back the clock, providing us an amazing AO finals. I finally remember watching Rafa come back 2 sets down against Medvedev to win the AO finals in 2022, 13 years after winning his first AO.
Rafa is the reason I fell in love with tennis, the reason I coach tennis. A total role model as an athlete. He'll be missed. I cant believe he and Federer are no longer playing, my childhood is officially over 😭

Jesus said: I am the Good Shepherd and you are my beloved lamb!! Should I lay down my life for my lambs? He who is lost I will seek and He who is wounded I will heal… So why are you afraid, my child? In my arms, you have nothing to fear; trust me !
