I love your vids, girl! please don't stop :) Your vid where you opened up about the 'r' word was REALLY inspiring. I know it helped a lot of girls and women…especially me. You just gotta build it back up again…you deserve to live a life of dreams! It'll start clicking again. and congrats on the engagement!!!!

aw yay! so glad to hear you're encouraging him to tap into his artistic side :) and yes, my parents have always been great about supporting my artistic talents. i left a lot out because of time, but i also went to art camp, acting camp, piano lessons and took ballet. i'm blessed to have parents that understand the value of the arts. and now it's a huge part of who i am!

i totally agree. i love when my audience is honest with me, the same way i appreciate that you've been honest in this convo. again, i realize that by nature i'm very sensitive, and it's something i've struggled with and have gotten a lot better about. but i still struggle to not let outside things cause me to snap at people or get defensive. i'm a work in progress, so again, i appreciate you bringing it to my attention.

This was really inspiring to be honest. I'm struggling with figuring out my own shit, same sort of boat where I feel like I am too old to be part of this growing creative community. I am so happy you finally did this! You are so awesome and I love that we got a glimpse into what makes you the person you are. I love everything you do. Your positive energy is contagious, and I love that you actually use your intelligence in your videos. I feel like a lot of people who make sketches on RUclips tend to resort to "fart-jokes" but your content is thought out, hilarious, and never gets stupid. Basically, in case you haven't figured it out, I freakin' love you!!!

    Hey.
You know... since I was a little girl, I always envied black girls hair. It was a kind of obsession of mine. Because my hair is curly... really curly... and because I got some racist remarks about it from my own family (and Im white, but my hair dosent behave like a good white girl's hair) I always thought I was entitled to ask black women about their hair and ask to touch it... Im brazilian, but I lived in vancouver for some months and I was always the only curled haired person in the room and a lot of people asked me to touch my hair. At the beginning it was finny, but that obsession in touching me builded up a bit and I didnt like all that attention to it. You know, my hair has its own life, believes and particularities... al those people touching it was making my hair sad and losing my curls... Anyways, I watched a video by you about the issue of black woman's hair and two things happened: 1. I identified a bit (because of vancouver) and I stopped asking to touch people's hair. I am sorry if I was stupid. No, I still a stupid person, but doing at least one last stupid thing. One last thing: sorry for my bad english.

You're an inspiration and I wish you the best life has to offer. It takes guts to admit the things that you failed at. You are very human, and very amazing. Keep up the good work. Wow, what a great wrap up. Thanks for that. You have come such a long way since the dread lock videos I used to watch. It seems like a natural slowdown to get married and maybe have a little one of your own. Motherhood is great. It's great for project, motivation, research. But like you said, you will figure it out. This gave me so much life. I'm about two weeks away from graduating from undergrad and even though I do have pretty solid plans for the next 12 months, I'm still kind of on the fringe of postgrad freak out mode. But after watching this, I realized that time usually sorts out all of the apprehension and doubt that arises from an unplanned future. Like, it's totally cool with me that my year off is gonna be productive, but at the same time the uncertainty makes the experience even more worthwhile

Whatever you choose to do, I just want you to know that I've learned so much from you and your videos. About embracing myself as I am, being humble enough to recognize what I need to change, and the importance of humor and positivity. TBH I'm still working on a lot of that, but you've been an incredible inspiration. Even in your vulnerable moments, you evoke strength in your viewers who feel the same insecurities and self doubt and know we're not alone. Thank you, and go forth and be awesome! :)

thank you! yes, it was incredibly hard. i really don't think people realize how much work goes into making even the most "simple" videos. but this was sooo time consuming and then it took me a few tries to figure out the best way to do the voice over (which was a huge pain). i ended up recording it in a few takes and then shortening the clips to fit each part of the story.

well it's in the past, which is partly why it's easy to talk about. plus, i learned from it. i also think it's important to realize that people who have bad attitudes in life are usually that way because they're insecure. hopefully hearing it from me will serve as a reminder to others. or maybe someone will see themselves in my story and realize they need to snap out of it.

I love that you were so open and honest about your life. Even that you admitted to your fears and uncertainties. I'm about to be 30 and I am kind of at a crossroads. Just been doing a lot of thinking about what I want to do and what direction I want my life to go in. It's nice to know I'm not alone. Good Luck though and I look forward to more vids

This is so great! Honestly, I am very grateful I discovered you, because there are very few people out there that I feel I can relate to who look like me and talk like me, so thanks!! When I graduate college, I definitely want to put stuff out there that will inspire others like me :)

This video is inspiring! It teaches people that you don't always have to be the one to stand out you can be in the back and still get noticed.

Hey franchesca! Ive been watching your youtube videos for some years and i only just found out this year that My grandpa is actually Best Friends with your grandpa from your dads side. I tried to explain RUclips but they're older so they don't really understand lol I really do admire you and all of your work. It is inspirational and has been to me for years. Please don't give up on your dreams, you've come such a long way and I know that in the future your talent will only take you further!!
