I wish ALL console company's would port their whole librarys over to all of their newer consoles. Sure they don't habe to polish each game but it would allow people to buy the older games at a fraction of a price while still playing the newer titles. I know they are scared they would lose money cause some people would just buy older titles instead of all the new ones, but they are still making money. That's why I went to emulation on all my older consoles.
Man I think the Wii’s and the 3Ds will be highly collectible console its unique tech might not be duplicate ever again. Just like Xbox 360, ps3 3D games finding 3D TVs with 3d glasses must be hard.
I always looked at the WiiU as the necessary bridge to get from the Wii to the Switch. I always thought one of the coolest things about the WiiU was I could play it on the touchpad controller away from my TV but I couldnt leave my house or get too far away from the console itself. A handful of years and it felt like the iteration on that concept is what led to the Switch. Full untethered freedom when desired.
I have a Nintendo Wii U since it first launched and it wasn't a bad console for what it's worth. I mean, there was even Nintendo Wii games you could buy on the Wii U Virtual Console. As for third party games, I never played those games on a Nintendo platform and I always avoided getting those games on a Nintendo platform and instead play those games on Xbox or PlayStation. Another thing about the Wii U is that it makes for a great emulation console today. You can even hack the vWii menu and run Nintendont to play Nintendo GameCube backups. So you're getting years and years of generations of gaming on that console.
I had a Wiiu. I understand why it failed but there was some pretty classic games like Zelda 3d world, and Nintendo world. Too bad it was too big and failed
I'm glad it failed. We wouldn't have the switch and the Wii u and it wouldnt be as good of an investment. Mines just sitting there going up in value everyday but this video is making me wanna jam on it. 😁
Most people thought the GamePad was an accessory to the Wii. Can't blame them, I thought so too back in 2012. 😅 Ironically, it does feel like a proper game console when emulated with a standard Xbox controller as Wii U Pro Controller and quite enjoyable as an emulated console.
@@bricknmotor In the simplest terms, emulation is mimicking a device on another device. For example, playing Wii U games on a Windows PC. Shandell has a lot of emulator tutorial videos on here.

So was kinda asking about emulators for the Wii u or any console for that matter, because I didn't know it was a thing for anything but PCs. But thank you regardless. 😉😁 Oh how much they usually cost? Got free ones from my PC I remember. Used it to play just about any nes game I wanted.
@@bricknmotor PC is still the best way to emulate. Cemu is the emulator for Wii U. The modern approach now is emulating on a mini-pc with a Ryzen APU usually. My mini-pc costed around $490US and can do every console upto Switch. It's pretty amazing for all the consoles/arcade you can emulate on it.
Bought both the Wii U and 2DS XL a few days ago. Both are underrated. Couldn’t be happier after the mods.
