We need Aero Engine flight test bed facility and etc within the country itself. We have enchance our in-house Metrology field so we can stop dependency on foreign companies. It is really good to know that Godrej Aerospace engineering. Kaveri Engine is far behind the year's.
Hope Godrej Aerospace having experience with ISRO will achieve success.
Usibg LCA Tejas as a test bed will definitely help by sending the Kaver dry engine from sending in Russia. Our SME industries should give opportunity to bring it a grand success.

There is no delay or cost overrun, if anything Kaveri is the most cost effective jet engine ever. Western countries invest 20 billion dollars to develop a new JET engine. China has so far invested 50 billion dollars in their engine program. By comparison, India has invested just 400 million dollars in Kaveri development. We don't have necessary test facilities even today. We don't have decades of experience, we don't give funding to compensate like China, then we ask our scientists to do miracles.

Don't talk like an illiterate person and broaden your understanding of Scientific experiments at least.
      - Don't compare pioneers vs laggers. Others made an attempt into the unknown so failed many times and many prototypes were made.
      - India in comparison has enough data laid out for it. It just needs to invest in building it. Design-Structure-Composite material- Heat threshold-etc...all things are known.
      - Still we can build merely a weak engine of 91kN against 125kN of Rafale or 140kN of Sukhoi..

@@emotionalIntelligence2078Laggard is the brain of people like 👆. I am an engineer in electronics and communication... And hold a masters... Whereas 👆 Comment shows complete lack of knowledge in any system development. India doesn't have data laid out for it because nobody is going to give India data on cutting edge aeroengine development. Saying 20 billion dollar in investment and 400 million in investment is the same again is just unimaginably Dum Dum level of thinking. Also Rafale doesn't have 125Kn engine. Rafale is a twin engine aircraft with Snecma M884e engine with 50Kn dry thrust and 75KN wet thrust and Sukhoi too is twin engined with 73Kn dry and 123KN wet thrust... However, Sukhoi's engines are simply much larger M88 or GE F404... Russian engines are generally considered qualitatively subpar to western engines. Aero engines are highly technically complicated. I suggest taking up a different topic to comment on with less technical complexity like watching cartoons.

Now remember Kaveri has already achieved 48.5KN thrust compared to 50KN of M88 despite India's minimal investment in engine development. Aero engines are highly technically complicated. Kaveri does produce 48KN dry thrust remember in comparison to 50KN of M88 used in Rafale. Aeroengine is a technically complicated topic. I suggest taking up a less complicated topic to comment on like may be cartoons.

@@cgtim3230 M88 is lighter in weight and is far more efficient then F404 and Kaveri. Kaveri cant be used even if it generates enough dry thrust. There are plenty of problems in it. From basics like combustion flickering and vibrations to losing thrust in high altitude and low by pass ratio. Here Identifying the reason for the problem is quite complex. From metallurgy, aerodynamic imbalance, not maintaining higher pressure ratio and leakage of gas flow. There are plenty of other parameters as well like fan efficiency, pressure loss in duct, stagnation of pressure in combustion chamber, stage pressure ratio and low aspect ratio blades. In short the thing which can help India to develop a good enough usable engine is experience. Billions of dollars are only required when you are innovating something. Developing something which is there for decades should not require enormous funds.
