I love visits from the critters through the night. I've spent many nights with the coyotes singing, saw whet and great horned owls, deer, foxes and even the occasional bear. They are nothing to fear, and will leave you alone once they know you're there. One morning as the dawn broke, I realized I had a dozen deer bedded in the field around me. It is exhilerating to be so in touch with nature and the cosmos at the same time.

@@deepastro7460 I ended up getting a star tracker, the star shoot C.A.T by Orion. And even with the dec bracket and counterweight it only holds 8.8lbs. But my scope (skywatcher 72mm apo doublet refractor) and just the T7i and skywatcher reducer/corrector on it is only 7.4lbs. But it trails bad. And I'm not sure If it's the incorrect spacing with the reducer/corrector or if that star tracker just can't do 7.3lbs good. But I do know I am extremely unhappy that I bought the 900 dollars worth of equipment that was made for each other and there is definitely spacing issues. The people at skywatcher said they had released a short tube 72ed version in 2019 and that they had since changed the length of the focus tube to correct it and I must have gotten the old one. Very disappointing. And by time I had clear skies and a chance to test it my 30 days was up on the return. Now I need a good mount to test further so I can eliminate that as a possible problem.

Awesome video Trevor! Hope maybe some day you make a special trip down to the Erie area! That's where I'm at and we have some pretty nice dark skies across the lake here. Be freaking awesome to meet ya one day and chat

Fantastic! Having to deal with light polluted skies in the largest city in the Central Valley of California I totally understand your desire to live in a more rural environment. If I drive 45 minutes to an hour I can be shooting in the Sierra foothills or flat valley plains far from city lights. This summer however, California has been burning so much that the skies are filled with heavy to light smoke every day. That smoke then reflects light pollution which makes astrophotography basically a moot point. I’m anxious for clear skies for breathing as much as photography. Great photo Trevor!

That was astounding.... tohave a look at the galaxy that's going to collide with our galaxy and then reflecting of the outcome is mindbogling. Thankyou Thankyou and Thankyou

Wonderful video, I think we all crave for those dark skies and a decent property with wide horizons.

I love in a class B3 dark sky area, it’s worth it out in the country by far... and the wildlife likes to visit often too!

Why did I tear up a bit after watching this video?! An isolated and silent place away from everyone, staring into a night sky... a perfect thing an INFP can dream of

That's honestly the clearest photo I've seen recently of deep space Astro. Well done Trevor 👌
