I fished Sandhurst years back on a social and had almost 20 fish out with a similar rig but I fish the wafter on the hair through the side, it covers more of the hook on pressured day tickets

I liked the tutorial and the reverse filmed bits, looked like Magic... more Harry Potter than Harry Charington 😂👌

I use Germans for most of my fishing including pop ups. Landed me fish upto 35lb in the UK and the hook holds are perfect.

You know for the blow back rig from the last “how to” video, can I use a wafter on that rig and will it be effective.

Do you only use putty on braid?

Would it really matter if the coated braid was all the way through the hook eye with the flipper going on it ? As long as the uncoated section doesn't come out past the flipper.

I actually prefer to have a small bit of the uncoated visible. I know this technically isn’t a “German” rig but I believe mechanically is has some advantages. When I tie a German and lift it up, especially from varying angles the hook doesn’t always drop down well. Using a small break it always does, like a combi should. Worth a try, I still think the German is effective (no strip version)

just switch a screw for the swivel/bait floos and its a ronnie rig for lazy people :D

So it's basically a Ronnie rig

Quite different from a Ronnie. No swivel connecting the hook to the hooklink.

@@fox_international let's be fair, it's one tiny swivel different, not quite different lol
