Love your channel! I subscribed. I selected this coaster to give to a neighbor guy for Christmas. Your tutorials are perfect for me as I like to be shown several times how to do something and you patiently go through the steps 2-3 times. You include all the details we might wonder about and that assures a beautiful finished project and peace of mind. Speaking speed, lighting and zoom in all A+. I will definitely check out your other videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Merry Christmas 2024!
I love this pattern! These are solid coasters and aren’t flimsy but are nice and flat. I used a 4mm hook and came out great!! I’m an advanced crocheter but this video would be perfect for very beginners! Very easy to follow and thorough explanation. I will be making many of these! Thanks!
Thank you for this beautiful pattern , I made my first coaster with it today and turned out great , the only thing that I modified is adding a sc border as a final row with the dark color, it elevated the look and made it complete in my eyes ❤
Hmm well you could add rounds to make it wider if you wanted a circular placemat. You could next add a round in the light color with maybe single crochet with chain 1 between, then switch to the darker color and do 1 single crochet + chain 1 in the chain spaces, then follow the same steps from there to make the diamonds motif but with the colors flipped and keep going until it’s big enough…The tricky part is making sure you add increases correctly so the circle grows but stays flat. I’d have to test it out but that’s my initial thoughts. Glad you were able to create the coaster!!

@@majomajo9109 Yay I love that! I have to finish the sets I started for gifts..
Any ideas how you'd make a placemat version? Total novice but this video helped me make it!

@patternandcraft I think I may find it too challenging at the mo. Only started a week ago, but was very happy with how it came out following this!
I love Hobbi yarn.
I went a whole hook size down and mine still ended up big 🥲 Still super cute tho! and a great tutorial! :)
@@warehousemouse thanks! Maybe need to use a thinner yarn? Mine all ended up 4.25” across
@@warehousemouse it could be a small potted plant mat mat instead maybe 😉
beautiful design, awfulllll tutorial
@@AnnieRutherford-w3k luckily this design is also available as a written pattern so you can still make it without having to follow the tutorial 👍🏻
