Having exclusively carried a Glock of one kind or another since the early nineties, I can absolutely relate to this video. As soon as I picked up and fired a Canik TP9SC, I knew things were gonna change. I have ZERO negative to say about Glock. But, now I'm proud to admit, I carry my Canik with a Holosun micro-dot religiously. It's just better on all levels.
...and another one joins the team.
My canik elite, is the best gun I own... Never a misfeed. Accurate and so comfortable in the hand. One of the best triggers out of the box you will ever find
and that's the story we hear again and again...I agree.
Bought my Elite SC last weekend. Put 100 rounds through it and immediately sold my FN FNS 9c compact. This thing is butter. Put a Streamlight TLR 7 on it. Came with the SMS 2 optic, which I didn't really want. I'll put a Holosun 507 K on, get a Tier 1 holster and I'll be good to go. Nice vid. I'm in total agreement.
Several people have done the same thing.
Please give some thought on removing the music from you video. Video is good without the music.
Done, we will pull it in the sequel to this.
Agreed, gets in the way of your presentation (which is great)
Agreed! Give it some thought!
Yeah the music is just throwing me off great video though! Considering on picking up a Canik!
I like the music! not overbearing, can hear the presentation....I'd like you to keep it!
Also, let me know where I can find one of these - no luck anywhere.
I too have fallen in love with the Canik pistols. But to correct one thing, the red pin at the back of the gun is a cocking indicator only. The one on top of the slide is a chamber loaded indicator. But great video thanks 👍
Yes, you are correct.
Yes, you are absolutely correct.
The background music makes it sound like an infomercial for Canik.
Yeah, everyone hates it. Sorry
I was thinking the exact same thing and then I saw your comment LOL
Or a 70,s Porno
@@SecurityAllStar hahaha…very true!
@@SecurityAllStar nope bro
Just got my Elite SC two days ago and couldn’t be more impressed ! 👍🏽🔫
You have any videos shooting it?
Security AllStar I have put about 200 rounds thru her so far but no videos yet. Next time i will tho. I got the olight baldr mini on it too.
I just got mine today. How do you like it?
@@devinmainez7096 you ever have any issues with 115 grain or do you shoot hotter loads
CANIK HAS IT GOING ON!!! Quality....Reliability.... Trigger... Cant beat it...NEVER met anyone that DID NOT LIKE THE CANIK AFTER SHOOTING ONE
Yeah, we are having converts all the time.
Same here. Sold my Glock 19, Love my Canik Combat Elite Executive.
I could not get rid of my Glock 17's but only pick them up for certain situations. I love the Canik.
Thanks for your post. I picked up a Canik TP9SF a month ago and I'm carrying it today. It holds 18 rounds in the magazine plus 1 in the chamber. It has the best trigger I've ever used.
That is the most consistent comment we hear....love them.
I just bought one and shot today. I carry a glock 17 for work. I agree 100 percent. This gun shoots so well. I really enjoy this gun. It's now my top pick. Even love it more than my sig p938. I have small hands and I was worried it would not fit but it does. Great review 👏.
Thank you - I carried a G17 at work for a long time and I swear my back has problems from that monster today. You will never hear me say anything bad about the 17 but this gun is just a sheer pleasure in many ways.
I’ve never been very good with iron sights, but I agree - something about this gun just makes it EXTREMELY easy to shoot out of the box. I think it’s a number of aspects, but they all work together really well.
The number one complaint I hear is that it’s TOO cheap, which is hilarious. They probably could have sold this thing for $500 all day long and I guess they’d get less complaints as well. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks
People have really said it's too cheap? I always hear people saying the cheap price reflects the quality of the gun (which is NOT true at all!) but never "it's too cheap i wanna pay more!" lol
I've seen a review of a guy saying it "feels cheap" but "shoots great!" how can a gun that feels cheap shoot great with 0 failures makes no sense people talk shit about caniks yet go on to say it's a great gun and they've had no failure to fires which begs the question what are some of these peoples definition of a great or cheap gun? makes ya think lol
I tried to buy a glock 19 gen 5 but since covid it is literally almost impossible to get one! I saw the TP9 combat elite in the store and ended up coming back a week or 2 later and ended up buying the TP9 Elite Sc and it is amazing!
You did not go wrong.
may i ask why it was so hard to get because i purchased a Glock G45 in July of 2020 during the peak of covid with no issue.
I wanted a G19 so bad but I couldn't find one anywhere local nor online so I bought a Canik TP9SF Elite and I do not regret my decision, thing is a beast first range day I shot around 80-100 rounds (I was having too much fun to get an accurate number) with 0 failure to fires, when loading with the slide locked back as soon as I hit that release snapped back everytime didn't have to slap the round in or anything. Love this thing.
Glocks are very reliable firearms.
That said, I recently sold my Glock 45 9mm
for a Canik tp9 elite sc. The Glock has an okay
to good trigger, but the Canik has a great trigger
right out of the box!
Hands down the Canik is one of the best firearms you
can buy on the market today! Dollar for dollar, the
best bang for your buck!
That is the story we hear again and again.
I want to pick up the canik sc but I can’t sell my 45 lol. I love that pistol
@@davioncooper1001 is is a Glock 45 or a 45 cal?
I own a g45 and a canik tp9 elite combat executive and I love my canik lol. I still do decent with my glock just not as enjoyable to shoot
same here, sold my Glock 23 and went back to 9mm with this sweet little thing. Awesome gun.
Same here. I have watched and listened to people talk about CANIK and assumed it was just another budget gun that shot well, but I never gave much thought to getting one until recently.
I guess I had heard enough about them to push me over the edge and order one. I went with the TP9-SF Elite over the SC because I needed the larger grip but didn't want to go full size. The gun arrived and made me a believer. The trigger is WAY better than many $800 guns I've tried and I know of nothing better in stock form that has a better reset.
I have just under 200 rounds through mine and it has cycled every oddball brand of ammo I could find without a single fail. In my opinion the TP9's are highly underrated. I have a custom Cerakoted Sig P229 that I love but the CANIK is so much better for EDC. It's on the large-ish side for a carry gun but I wear an OWB holster and a long shirt. No problem.
Thank you for this story. I've not had one person say they didn't like it. The only negative comments are referencing where it is made.
I forgot, on my second box I had to fail to fire, I put the cartage in my mag and they fired fine the second time. I guess it was just a light primer strike.
Never have liked glock. Bought my 1st canik in 2015. Love them, just got my SC and put a swampfox sentinel on it.
Why, are you a dem?
Dino Bambino Why do you say that? Swampfox makes good optics plus the sentinel looks great 👌🏻
I wish you could post pictures.
Love my tp9 sa
I had a Glock 43 didn’t really care for it was to small and not enough capacity, then I got the Canik TP9 elite sc and fell in love with it. Can’t go wrong with a Canik.
I tried a 43 and 43X and thought the same thing.
The rod and red dot at the end of the slide does NOT indicate a round is chambered; it indicates the gun is cocked. Only the LCI at the ejection port indicates a round is chambered.
You are correct - that was misspoken. If I get a full size one I'll correct that
I purchased the Canik TP9 Elite Combat Executive and it's my EDC. Absolutely love this firearm!
Anthony Stewart just bought one today can’t wait to shoot it.
...and...what did you think?
Thats a big gun to edc fam..
Are you a bigger/taller person? That's a big gun to EDC.
Why I never carried or owned a Glock: the grip angle is horrible.
That has always been my difficulty wit Glock. It worked, it just never felt like a good glove. Still, I'll grab my 17 for duty gear.
True, a half hogue helps that out..Glock 48 has the best feel of any Glock. ..Canik is the way to go tho!!!
I'm quite happy with my Beretta APX Centurion. Fits like a glove.
John Moses Browning designed the grip angle of the 1911 by looking at a human hand instead of computer aided design.
Same here, totally agreed with you. It's 2021 the Block is outdated. Free your mind Fanboys and the rest will follow 😆
I just purchased a Canik TP9 sc and recently took to the range. Everything you said about the Canik is on point! It is a great handling gun and that reset is pure gold! It is my CC also! Great review and liked/subscribed!
Thank you for sharing. This is the consistent feedback.
I've got an original G19 that's been rebuilt by Glock twice since the mid 80's. My daughter bought the Elite SC to go with her G43X. First time I shot it i was really impressed. I was looking for the Combat Elite Executive and instead found the Walther PDP-F. Requalifying Saturday, I had the daughter's Elite SC since it shoots so well and so others on the church security team could try it out. A deputy and one other guy have already picked up Canicks as a result>> Great guns, but here is a side tip...Canik mags will fit my Walther and visa versa. All of the 15,18 and 20 rounders I bought for my daughter will fit the PDP and my Walther mags fit, lock, feed and drop free on the Canik. Remember the Canik is designed after the SW99, an early Walther pistol. So winners all around!!
Thank you for this comment - it will definitely help readers.
I bought my TP9 SC Elite back in May of 2020 and I like it for the same reasons you mentioned. I also purchased a TP9 SF in February. I plan to buy more because my family is crazy about the SC and their trying to claim mine.
I'm shooting one with my wife for the first time this weekend.
I bought my first Canik a few weeks ago. Love it.
Yes, I got my second one yesterday in Patriot Brown (dodo brown)
I did to but the SFX version. Black out..my first gun..
Nice just got one the other day too and I swear this thing fits in my hand like a glove!!! I love the red indicator in the rear that shows if the round is chambered or not, that is seriously simple yet effective!!
That's the cocking indicator. If you see red it means the gun is cocked. It has nothing to do with the gun being loaded. On the Elite there is a small metal bar on the slide that pops up if there is a round in the chamber.
Right on
Just bought 2 to accompany my Mete SFX. New to (out of the military) firearms and after testing 35+ models from the bigger and smaller names, I chose Canik. Looking forward to the small ergonomic refinements of the Mete & Rival to find their way to the SC series. Having purchased a Patriot Brown & Blackout, swapping the Slides made for a unique EDC with a backup. It's hard not to get a 2" group with these triggers!
I really want the METE.
That's great! I also have a Turkish gun. A Tisas 1911. It's every bit as good as my Springfield and Colt models.
You all need to watch out! These guys are gonna show up how it's done!
There are lots of other great guns out there but wow, i'm impressed for sure.
@@SecurityAllStar Glocks are great for most, but I really prefer all metal hammer fired pistols
As long as it goes boom, has capacity, is reliable, and ergonomics are good, it makes no difference what it is or who made it.
Reliability is the huge factor.
@Inconvenient Truths well I own several of both Glocks and cannex in mechanics are so far way more reliable the eat any animal that I put through it and the Canik is way more accurate I can pick any of my canx and they're more accurate and I've shot them a lot less than I have my Glocks not to mention my trigger in mechanic is 10 times better than any Factory Glock trigger as a matter of fact I would say the factory Canik trigger is better than any trigger you can put in a Glock there's a reason why so many people love the Canik and it's not just the prize because right now the Canik SC Elite in my area is the same price as a clock I can get a Glock 48 x 499 and the SC Elite is anywhere from 450 to 520 and I'm getting ready to get up here in a couple hours and go buy another Canik it'll be my fourth one and no I'm not trying to knock Glock but people overhyped them by far mark my words the Canik will be the new gun that everybody wants and then everybody goes crazy over in the day everybody carries in the next couple years soon as more people hear about it all you have to do is shoot one and you'll see why
Everything you said... Same for me. All good lower price tag. Love the trigger
Yes, I wanted to buy a full-size but can't get one now.
TP9 SF Elite shoots like a dream.
Yes, my sentiments exactly.
Great review. This video help me finally land my purchase decision on Canik. Thanks. 💯
Excellent - you will love the gun.
Excellent video review. I will admit I have not read all of the comments so what I am about to say may have already been addressed. The red Dot on the back of the slide is not a loaded chamber indicator, it is just a cocked indicator. It will show red with no round in the chamber. Again it was probably mentioned earlier. However I have to commend you an a very excellent review and a to the point review..no BS at all. Thank you.
Much appreciated! I did screw up there. Mouth in front of brain.
I’m a CCW instructor and when folks ask what’s the best carry gun, I tell them whatever fits your hand like a glove, and can effectively operate the controls. I’m probably going to start to carry my Canik, I just have to decide which one!
That's a great answer. I never minded the Glock except for the weight and I hated the 43x/43/48 models in my hand. When I picked this one up, wow! The trigger reset is just about flawless.
@@SecurityAllStar You might have sold me on this gun, I EDC a Sig P320 xcarry 3.9 inch barrel. No complaints, I love the gun, but the 17 rd capacity makes the grip makes it print on my shirt which is not ideal for some situations and places.
I have been looking at this gun for a while but was unsure on whether to go for it or not.
By the way, you also sold me into subscribing!
I say: carry the smallest gun in the largest caliber you feel you can use, train with properly. The lowest caliber I'd use is .380acp or .38spl +P. You don't need a 35rd 9mm super gun. A 5 or 6 shot .38spl or .357magnum can protect you.
Canik TP9 SF Combat
I switched from Glock to CZ. My friend just bought a Canik TP9 SFX. He loves it. After I felt the short trigger reset. I put money down on one last week.
I'd love to do a comparison.
I recently just bought me a Canik tp9 sc elite all tungsten gray. Love it!
Very cool color gun. Someone just asked me today if I could get one but everywhere I look they are sold out.
I enjoyed his review. I believe his honesty and Sincerity. I felt the same way and that is why I now carry Canicks. Thank you for your honest opinion.
Thanks for watching! I did make an incorrect statement about one thing but we love these guns.
Canik all day. I’d rather shoot a canik tp9sf than a glock 17. Tp9sf elite over glock 19 elite sub compact over glock 26. I still love the canik tp9v2 the best
I have tried to find a full-size to shoot but have not had any luck. Maybe they will come back in stock. I carried a Glock 26 for a while and it was a good gun. I could not hit the mark nearly as well as I can with this.
Security AllStar check Armslist or gunbroker even. They’re some on there. You may have to pay a transfer fee, but still a gun under $400 that’s as good as ones that cost $5-$600
Liked mine so much i bought a matching mate ..i too put down G19 for my canik
I like the Glock model45 its a 17 frame with a 19 slide. I would never own or buy a firearm made in Turkey. I don’t care how great they are bottom line is Turkey supports terrorism think I’m full of it then do your own homework see what Military intelligence or the CIA or FBI has to say about it.
Even so… they are excellent, reliable and accurate tools, costing less than a german(birthplace of nazi fascism) glock. At least they aren’t made in China. I’m not hating on glocks, but some people will always find a reason to knock a gun that isn’t their favorite brand. The 45 is a decent handgun too though.
I had seen and handled Caniks, but never fired or owned one. I recently got a TP9SF as part of a trade. Decided to try it.
I carried a Gen2 G31 daily for 20+ years. 25k+ rounds through it. I don't love it, but I trust it in the extreme.
The Canik is so much nicer without a single modification. The trigger. The sights. The fact it's ambidextrous. The slightly increased capacity. Standard Pic rail. Even new it's a steal.
I'm somewhat devoted to the P365 platform at this point. Canik's small competitor still isn't small enough to wiggle between the 365 & I. If it were, I might have some hard decisions to make.
Nice video. Liked and subscribed.
Great overview. I do respect and love the P365, but don't ever carry a pocket gun anymore. I'm really wanting a shot to try the MC9.
If you are tied between the 17 & the 19, have you tried the model 45? It’s the 17 round frame of the 17, but the barrel and slide of the 19. It’s a great hybrid. Also, if you think the Caniks trigger is great now you need to try the upgraded freedom smith trigger. $70, and it’s about 1/3 the factory reset and super crisp. It’s honesty like a 1911 trigger. But they are indeed great guns. I’m very happy to see how well these Caniks are getting out there
Hey, thanks for the comments. Yes, I did like the 45. Very similar to the old 17 and 19 but I did find it a little heavier with the new extended frame. I also like having more rounds in the 45 but the feel in my hand was about the same as other Glocks. Several of my friends would never agree to ever let go of their Glock but they have carried that baby all over the world. I understand.
I have a $1,200 Gucci Glock 17 and a $329 Canik TP9SF Elite. My Canik shoots better than my Glock and is my EDC. I have never had a failure to feed or eject with my Canik even firing copious amounts of junk ammo like Wolf. Canik makes a mighty fine shooter hands down!
Yep, same here. Made a lot of changes to some glocks over the years and love the Canik right out of the box.
Great video. I'm in the Security profession as well, I sometimes ware a duty belt with my weapon exposed. Let me tell you the one reason why I stop carrying a Walther p99 and started carrying a Canik tps9SA. The "de-cocker" application. While the p99 has a de-cocker, when compressed it takes the gun out off single action and is automatically put into double action. Were as with the Canik tps9SA actually takes it out of operation. I like this feature for the simple fact that when carrying exposed if I were to get into a fight for my weapon I can de-cock it and fight to get to another cancelled weapon, knowing the weapon will not fire unless another round is cycled will by me some time.
Thank you for sharing that.
Many people most notably Yankee Marshall said the decocker on the TP9SA was horrible for a self defense gun for that reason. It's interesting to see you saying the decocker is an advantage.
@@mic187x2 I saw that same video, I do agree with part of what he is saying, YM, but I would say that this is situational thing, pros and cons on both sides.
I would never own a weapon that can be disabled by one button. Other Canik’s are great. I own the sc elite, but if it had that feature, it’s a definite no go
I have the Canik TP9SF-Elite 4" bbl, probably my best pistol purchase .... Paid $325 ... Flawless functionality to date(7/30/2020)
I wish we could get them now. None to be found.
@@SecurityAllStar , I'm glad a bought in advance ... I am well stocked ..

Yes, glock pos!
Security AllStar I got mine off palmetto Friday
I got lucky and someone had one on hold the day I went looking g and store pulled out of safe to put in display and I looked at it bought it and my elite blackout s/c has ate ANY ammo steel, aluminum or brass. Cheap, expensive and all in-between.I just got my 32 rnd pro mag magazine in the mail today too. I am very impressed with my canik and definitely recommend it for ANYONE. Price is exceptional for the great quality work put i to these pistols. It is a looker too! Love the 2 tone color. Great video. We appreciate the content you put out.
Yes, we hear this over and over again.
Just shot my new one today and it has the best trigger of any pistol I own! It is my favorite pistol and will replace my 1 year old Hellcat.
You know, we have a lot of the local PD who were approved to carry the Hellcat as their backup weapon coming in and getting either the SiG P365 or the Caniks. What was your experience with the Hellcat. I keep hearing that it was just too small and snappy.
@@SecurityAllStar I still love the Hell cat and will probably carry it from time to time and I don’t find it snappy in fact I don’t have any complaints with it. The Canik is just that amazing.
Very good video. I plan to add a couple of Caniks to my line up very soon. I shot a friend's Elite TP9SF recently and it was just outstanding.
Had some guys pick up 2 of them this weekend. Just great great guns.
I don't know if anyone's said this but that red dot on the back of the gun isn't if a round is chambered or not, it's if the striker is ready to fire or not, it'll be there if you rack the slide and the gun is completely empty. The chamber indicator is up behind the rear site but before the barrel.
Yes and yes - mouth ahead of brain syndrome.
Love my Canik Elite SC !
Yep, I don't leave home without it.
Me too. My babygril
I have 3 Caniks - Mete for home, an elite SC, and elite combat executive. They're all awesome!
My next purchase is either the METE or RIVAL. Have you shot the Rival?
@@SecurityAllStar I have not. I have the Mete SFx, and it's a pleasure to shoot. I chose the Mete both for the money, and the fact that I didn't lose the rear sight when I put an optic on it. I have a Holosun 507, and can shoot 7 inch groups at 25 yards. Canik now had the Mete pro out, supposed to be better than the rival.
Very hard to find online now but luckily I was able to get one this past week. Can’t wait to pick it up!
I hope you love it as much as I do.
I recently got the Canik Mete SF . I’m not getting rid of my Glocks but the Canik is a good pistol
I kept my G17's. They are my duty guns and interchangeable with a lot of guys I shoot with. Canik will be my EDC until such a time we MAY need duty weapons again.
Took me 8 years and 12 guns later to find a gun that fit me best so far the tp9sf and the tp9elites fits best I carry the elite s because of thesize
Yes, yes, yes, yes. - You gotta see this one. 18guns.com/product/canik-damascus-silver-ingraved-cover-slide-tp9sc-elite
If you register it is $350 for the next 48 hours.
I’m a snob, I owned sig, kimber, Springfield and Glock .my very first handgun was a HK usp my issue is a Glock 19. When my daughter went to buy her first gun she bought a Canik tp9 elite. I love the trigger, it almost as good as my sig xcarry.
You know, I really did not care a thing about trying one. It was happenstance and I've been carrying ever since.
My most recent edc was a Sig P320 Carry, and I still love my Sig. But today, I just picked up TP9 SC. You cannot go wrong with what all you get for the price. Cannot wait to hit the range. Thank you for the great video.
Thanks for sharing...and have lot of fun. Ammo is finally coming down as well.
@@SecurityAllStar Yeah I've been noticing that. 👍
Bought the tp9 SC a week ago as my first hand gun and I’m very happy with my decision.
However Mine came with a different front sight. Not night time. I’m thinking of changing it.
If memory serves me correctly, the Glock sights will fit. I'd double check me though. We absolutely love the Spartan sights.
I’ve had my 26 since 1995 when they first came out. Use a 19 mag for 15 rounds fits my hand always works pretty accurate. What more can a kid want.
I'm not knocking either - this gun just fits and shoots so well.
A C Z or a Canik! Real firearms!
Hey frank. Had many glocks. 17. 23. 19. 30. And my 26. Not too well these days. Not able to target shoot these days but if I was able I would try one of those.
Yeah the 19 I feel is almost a perfect fit for me next to a VP9.
Comparing the canik from a professional who religiously carried their 19 was exactly what I needed.
Ergonomic fit, reliability and reasonable capacity seem to be the huge considerations. I still grab the 17 for a duty weapon but the Canik is my EDC.
I have a TP9SF and it is accurate every time. Love it.
That's why I got another one yesterday.
I sold my Glock 48 for the same reasons, and now I am getting this canik TP9 sc. I am really sorry to hear that you don't carry one in the chamber, because your pistols all have an internal safety that won't let the gun go boom unless you pull the trigger. also! when you carry a revolver all the cylinders are full and your only safety is to not touch your trigger until you are sure to fire. so please trust your pistols and teach yourself to never touch the trigger until you are sure you want to shoot. be safe and shoot straight, this is from an old Army Veteran from 1966/1969 and past LEO. also, in the heat of the moment of a defensive situation, you might not have the time to rack the slide before you get stabbed or shot, and never have an external safety engaged. many have died because they forgot to take off the safety.
Yep, gotta carry chambered. It not seconds at that point, it is milliseconds that count.
I have a G48 mos and a TP9 SC and I would never get rid of my G48 in favor of the SC. They both have their place but the G48 is a lot more comfortable to carry
Really appreciate the video! Thanks for the time! Don’t let ppl get to you in regards about the background music lol sadly lot of ppl love to complain for everything.
Ha, I've noticed.
That red dot on the back of the gun is a cocked indicator, not a chambered indicator. Meaning that red dot will show up with a cocked but empty gun.
Yes, thank you. The red dot on the top indicates loaded. I misspoke. Thanks
Brother i just got one. Went shooting yesterday 7/12/20 and when I got home I took my glock 33 out stuck it in the safe and loaded up my canik tp9 elite and it is my new edc. And the match barrel puts tight groups @ 25 yards easy
No kidding - that was similar to my exprience. I'm in love with it.
Just got the elite combat executive and wouldnt ever trade or sell it..fantastic firearm..unreal trigger
Man, canik triggers are really "elite" no pun intended. Lol but seriously, I've not had a better trigger nor have I seen one with such a crisp break and the reset is unbelievably short.
glock 500+ pos!
@@brc1945 ?
I carry the same Canik only my me is flat dark earth. I was able to shoot mine extremely well right out of the box. I carried a Glock 22 Gen 1 for 12 years . It was reliable and a great duty weapon. However this Canik in my opinion is far superior to it.
My wife shot mine and went straight inside at the range and bought herself one for her EDC . She has the black and titanium model. She shot better than I did with hers straight out of the box. Caniks are awesome weapons. We have fired approximately 1000 rounds through our weapons and have even used steel cased and not one issue with our Caniks. The fire all ammo.
Wow, I got one for my wife and she is shooting it for the first time tomorrow.
I’ve been eyeballing a Canik TP9SC for a month now. I’m convinced.
Had one more picked up today. Here is the link to everything I can find in stock: www.18guns.com/catalog.php?search_for=canik%20tp0%20sc
I have that Canik and it is a nice shooting gun. Very accurate. The only downfall for me initically was how hard it was to rack. Contacted Canik & they sent out a lighter spring and now it is just right.
Yes, this can be problematic for some people. Glad you got it lightened.
My TP9 SFX is like that as well. I just figured I needed to break it in.
Well that was Great of Canik to send you a replacement spring.
Excellent Customer Services.

In-correct. That pin pulled back does NOT indicate there is a round in the chamber. That pin pulled back tells you that it is ready to be fired, with or without a round in the chamber.
NOW that red dot and the raised bar ON TOP DOES indicate there is a round IN the chamber ready to be fired
Yes, yes, yes - I have corrected myself about 100 times on this thread. You are correct.

Been shootin and carrying a 1911 45 for over 50 years. The same gun i used to save my life with in Vietnam. I get the plastic gun thing. My glock 17L with glock 18 mags is a hoot. But im more secure with a 1911 45acp.
I was a 1911 guy until 2012 and then I went to the dark side. i stil love the 2 I have but don't carry them
Canik TP9 pistols have established a solid reputation for being reliable, accurate, with amazing trigger pulls and ergonomics. ALL that at a fair price. Unlike other brand name gun manufacturers of striker-fired polymer frame handguns.
We agree 100%. Glock should be the same price.
@@SecurityAllStar Glock, Walther, H&K, FNH, Sig Sauer, they all over price their striker-fired polymer frame handguns. Canik does not. That makes a huge difference. Great quality at a fair price.
I own several glocks and several canik. I enjoy shooting and carrying a canik much more than glock and trust it as much if not more. They are more accurate for me and love the trigger. My sc is surprisingly comfortable for iwb despite its thickness. The larger models even feel better to shoot and hold surprisingly and have even cc a full size sf and sa- though I was probably printing
I could not have said that better. Yes, my sentiments.
Just a small correction. Loaded chamber and striker indicators are not the same as a safety. From my understanding, the only safety device is the trigger safety. Excluding the 'universal safety' , meaning one's trigger finger.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! HAHAHA, I've been corrected many times and you are correct.
I rented one at the range. Incredible gun. Reminds me of my old Ruger SR9C that I miss more and more each day.
I own an SR9C with a 200 rounds through it and just bought a Canik TP9SF
I know we are going to see a lot more of these guns.
@@julianforde7183 so do you prefer the canik over the ruger? Thanks
Glocks are old news. Canik and SAR (Sarsilmaz) are giving Glock and CZ a run for their money. The _Canik TP9_ and the _Sar 9FX_ are two of the best 9mm handguns for the price, period.
Yep, cannot disagree.
I was on the fence about one when they released them saw one at my ffl and instantly loved how it feels in my hand bought it and its been great ever since
right...i just love it
Love my Canik. What holsters are folks using for their Caniks? Please drop a link below. Thanks
I use concealment Express for my Elite
I really would like to find an IWB for it that I liked. Any suggestions out there?
Nice Video. I was choosing between the Canik and Springfield XDM and ultimately went with the Springfield but the Canik is definitely at the top of my list when I am looking for another pistol.
My buddy MIke Loves the Springfield XDM but he has not shot my Canik yet.
I have a 4.5 inch barrel Springfield XDM Elite. It is not a EDC pistol but it is awesome. My conceal carry pistol is the Springfield Hellcat. It comes with the stippled grip and front night sight.
I have two Canik Elite TP9 SC, and they're are amazing handguns. I use them for CC. I live on a fixed income so I research quality/reliability in regards to price. I've paid $1300 total for my two Caniks along with two full size Masada's and I can tell you that both are high quality pistols. I've run several thousand rounds of various ammo through my Caniks and Masada's and have never had a misfire, or misfeed/jam from either handgun. People who think you have to pay big bucks for high quality pistols are fooling themselves out of a lot of money. I also have a Taurus G3 and a G3c and both of those are also very good quality for even less than what I paid for my Caniks and Masada's. All of them are very accurate and have very light recoil and better than average triggers. You don't have to spend high money for high quality if you research thoroughly.
Thank you very much for the overview. I'd agree with you on every point.
@@SecurityAllStar , I recently bought a Masada slim and the trigger on it is awesome. Much better than my full-size Masada's and comparable to my Caniks. The full-size Masada's reset is a bit long so you can't get those rapid-fire shots off, but boy does that gun eat everything and anything you put in it. It's very reliable. The slim has a crisp break but unlike the full size tactical the reset is very short like my Caniks so you can get off those rapid-fire shots if you want. if you can get your hands on a Masada slim, I would suggest shooting it. If you like the Canik Elite TP9sc I think you will like the Masada slim.
Don't forget a link to the one you have.
They now have the 17 round mags available on canik’s website. Not to mention if yours has that kind of 2 stage feel freedom smith has a good after market trigger shoe that takes that away or just get a lighter plunger spring. Can’t go wrong with the any canik.
That is great to know.
The 17 round mags are excellent. They look just like the 15, but a bit longer obviously. The gun feels even better in the hand. Probably gonna get the Taylerfreelance brass backstrap soon too.
Canik also have 20 rounds too my sf came with 2-18 round mags and SC elite cam with 1-12 round and ond 1-15 round mag bought 2- 18 round mags for it
Nice video, nice gun. I have the SFX and want this one for cc. The red dot on the back is not a chamber indicator. It shows that it is cocked, but that will still show with nothing in the head.
Yes, we really want to try the full-size pistol.
I was thinking the same thing. That rear red dot is showing the striker is ready to fire. The top indicator is for the chamber. But it was a good video.
I won't stop carrying my Glocks but I do have a TP9 Elite SC en route now. After getting an Arex Delta, hopefully my Canik will help augment my collection. The Canik is heavier than the G19 though. Can't wait to shoot it because these Caniks have rave reviews!
I was really, really surprised. There is no way I thought I would make it my EDC.
Bro it's literally have become my favorite even over my glocks (which is crazy and unbelievable even for me to say!) your going to love it and I love the short reset and overall trigger feel of the gun!!!
@8:02 the firing pin red dot, indicates that the trigger/ pin is live and in battery. If its hiding you can still have one in the chamber but the trigger is dead.
The chamber loaded indicator on the top is the only thing that tells you if there's one in there.
The trigger safety indicator also doesnt tell you the status of anything but the safety position.
But otherwise great video, I agree its a great gun!
Yes, yes, yes - I misspoke when doing this. You are correct.
Dude turn off the bed of music i cant hear what your saying
Note taken to heart - We will eliminate because EVERYONE hates it.
Next video is for you and everyone else who HATES the music. Sorry
Yea were here for the words not the funky beats🤣🤣
I know you feel bad, because you thought it was a great idea.
The safety you describe on the back plate DOES NOT indicate a loaded chamber. It only indicates that the striker is cocked. The only visual indicator of a chambered round on the SC Elite is the one on top.
Yes, I've been corrected now about 7,000 times. You are correct.
Amazing value firearms. I have the executive and the SC. Love to open carry the full force 18 +1. The SC is a bit bigger for a SC, compared to a G43 or shield, but its a great piece. Amazing triggers
Yeah, the most comfortable gun I've carried was the SIG P365. It is also a great shooting little gun with enough rounds. I'm just in love with this Canik in my hands.
I don't have the sc ....YET. I do have the elite blacked out one series. I fell in love with canik. Then I grabbed an SFX , and it has been amazing as well!
The comments are all good.
Canik sc, I love it. Good shooter.
Yes, I just cannot say enough good about how accurate it is.
“Janik”
Picked up the tp9sf back in August 2022 great gun for what I need it for then picked up the sc elite the sc elite is what I was looking for in a gun took 8 years and about 12guns later to find the one that fit me best
There truly is nothing better for the money in my humblest opinion.
@4:19 careful with that trigger safety. I know its a sensitive trigger as I own one but familiarity and lots of practice have helped virtually eliminate those premature pop-offs.
Yep....agree
Not surprised more people didn’t notice this. And honestly this is why I think this gun isn’t for the average gun owner or even the slightly clumsy... I love it but I’m also very meticulous about my finger movements and drawing. I will never hand this gun over to anyone that has never held one before while it’s hot. Even experienced handlers. Great video though Allstar!
The red dot on the back is NOT a loaded chamber indicator. It is a cocked striker indicator.
Yes, my mouth got ahead of my brain. Good call.
Get a leather holster. The crappy coating they put on their guns scratches up bad if used with kydex! I know I have had two of them. I now carry a Glock 23.
I've had my Elite since they first came out and I've been using the same Concealment Express Kydex holster since 2017 and have at least 6k rounds and my finish is holding up fine
@@teamtate322 , well with my TP9SF and SF Elite the kydex that comes with it scratched it down to metal within 1000 rds. They still performed flawlessly but looked like crap. Maybe there is something about their kydex?!
@@russjosey2012 I never used the ones that it came with. I'm a lefty so no need to even remove it from the case. I've had the same success with my SFX I bought them at the same time and have 500-1000 more rounds through it
I've been beating on mine now for a few months, every single day, and it has held up well. I wonder if they fixed that problem? There were some Glocks in the past that wore off pretty quickly as well.
I just picked one up couple months back and absolutely love this firearm!!!
How much range time with the inflated ammo right now?
I enjoyed the video, the Canik is a great weapon and the background music is why I subscribed.
Haha, yeah, we are always learning about editing. My 13 year old is learning. He will be better than all of us.
Try a Taurus G2C or G3C... they fit really well too for EDC... 12+1 rounds
@Frank Bonazza III Really!?! I guess I need to check out the Canik then!
Have a few notes on that but have not tried one yet.
Wow, great video. I saw this on FB and decided to watch. I subscribed and liked. I'm gonna get one when I leave Cali (Army, stationed here).
Thank you...You are stationed in CA?
Yes, I'm at 1SG at the Presidio of Monterey (DLI).
First time viewer, really appreciate your knowledge base, presentation, and sense of humor. Was wondering if you have done more recent videos without the music, which tends to be distracting.
Yes, we have two more gun reviews coming out this week and we've officially stopped using the music.
I have an Elite SC too. Smooth trigger.
One thing to remember, the firearm was originally meant to run NATO 124gr rounds.
I run 115gr on mine (Hormandy xtp standard pressure) and no problems.
The trigger is like butter.
It's a little top heavy compared to the 19, but the trigger and holster are nice upgrades.
I was able to get back on target very quickly and accurately.
Got the tp9sfx whiteout edition. Shoots center from 25 all day every day and it looks hella gangsta # stormtrooper
Oh my God this gun!
White????
I got the same one. Love that gun
You said you had problems getting another Glock since January 2020. You must not be in Texas. In Dallas, I can find Glocks easy.
I'm hearing good things about Canik. I may make a Canik my next purchase. This video is another good endorsement for Canik in my eyes.
Yeah, we are in TN and they are scarce...very scarce.
Yep I'm in Dallas too. Glocks are around however ammo well different story. I hunted some down online. Prices are outrageous. But I also edc my canik elite s/c and I couldn't be more happier.
@@damienmiddlebrooks2220 yeah ammo prices are crazy!! I check out the Academy in Mesquite for my 9mm ammo. If you get there early enough you can get a few boxes.
@@damienmiddlebrooks2220 I saw a Canik at the same Academy and checked it out. Damn near fell in love!! It was $650. Saw the same one for $550 on Palmetto state armory. The budget Canik was a daily deal yesterday for $350. I will buy a Canik soon.
I've owned several Canik firearms and their variations. All of them are simply the best reliable and accurate firearms I've ever shot. Bar none.
Everyone loves these guns. I've got some buddys who won't shoot them because they are not American made but all I can say is I love them.
yup, Canik TP9 Elite SC.. love it!
The best! Just had another one walk out the door.
Glock isn't the only good reliable gun to carry. Plenty of great guns out there
Saleem Bey marketing dude. There are better pistols, just have to look and stop drinking the kool aid.
Very true
Name one other gun that can out of the box go 500,000+ rounds, no that's not a typo their are many documented glock with that many rounds on them and still going with no replacement parts, are there better looking, feeling and more accurate guns out there well sure but when push comes to shove glock is the winner for a gun that will go bang when you pull the trigger, and anyone can pick up and use it's stupid safe (sas) fact is that 90% of people in this comment section are youtube and Instagram warriors that maybe put 500 rounds a year through their guns 🙄,man most of the pro shooter's must be doing it wrong they should have bought a canik lmfao, like I said name ONE gun that can go even 250,000 rounds i bet you cant, looks mean nothing, the grip or how it feels dosen't even matter that much, what trumps absolutely everything is reliability and glock is #1 because it's stupid simple and loose tolerances, almost every gun company has tried to copy it with no luck
@Dale Ross The Col. Is the authority yes. If he was alive today he would be shooting a Glock 19 if the U.S. spec ops choose it it has to have merit. Please remember he learned his lessons in WW2. Not the GWOT.
I've just about owned and shot them all. Glock 19 is the best. If you need to improve it buy some Vickers parts and your good. I do have smaller hands but the women have never complained!
