  • Welcome back to Development Division.
\\ A couple weeks ago, my driver's side CV Axle had experienced catastrophic failure. This has resulted in my vehicle being non-operational. Completely damaged and unusable, I must replace the damaged driver-side CV Axle with a new part. A CV Axle is what transfers power from the transmission, to the wheels. Constant-Velocity axles are also referred to as half-shafts. These types of driveshafts are very common with FWD vehicles. The design of the CV Joint allows for a large range of motion, while maintaining strength and minimal power loss. These characteristics make the CV axle perfect for wheels that are powered and also steer. In today's video, I take you step-by-step through the procedure, and teach you how to perform this process.

Cool video..I just found out I have to replace my front right axel so your vid def helps! Question..why did you not go with Honda OEM? Just curious your thoughts on that. Also, you mentioned you put grease on the side of the transmission, did you use a special brand? Thanks!

Goodluck with your project! The only reason I usually don’t go OEM, is price. However, most of the time, in the automotive world, you get what you pay for. No special brand but I recommend hi temp Lucas
