OMG this is SOOO GOODD, I also added lemon juice as i liked it citric and it was mouth watering, finger licking good. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS MESMERİZİNG RECİPE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m making falafel today or tomorrow and this may be a nice sauce to have as well as tahini homemade sauce. Some roasted cauliflower would go well with this as well. I’m craving dill.
Thank You so much for this recipe. Love from India. Btw , can we use dry dill instead of fresh Dill, we don’t really get dill here. Or is there any other herb we can use ?
I also use dry dill, but I make sure to get some from a reputable company, of course, they're more expensive, but well worth it if you don't have fresh. Perfect video by the way!
Thanks, I’m now cooking for 2 and my wife can’t or doesn’t want to remember quantities. So instead of buying a packet of white sauce mix I’d go back to cooking my own. I can remember white sauce but I needed to know the amount of herbs needed. I will have milk and bay leaf from poaching the Haddock, but does this need to be cold?
I would recommend using the milk when it is cold as a safer option (it helps to prevent lumps!) If you're short on time, you could perhaps try it with warm milk and pass the sauce through a sieve to remove any lumps if it gets lumpy!
if i want to use this sauce more for pouring over fish for 2-3 people should i change the amounts and if so by how much? Im new to cooking and would love to try this recipe without wasting food.
Is there a keto substitute for the flour like coconut or almond flour or anything? I doubt almond flour would work lol but is there anything similar that wouldn't turn out horrible?
I've never made a keto roux before, perhaps try making a small batch with whey protein isolate? It may not thicken up the same, so perhaps use double cream instead of milk for a thicker sauce. I hope this helps!
@@ChunsBuns11 Great idea. I'll try that or look around keto sites and see if there is a subsitute for normal flour that works well in sauces. Really appreciate the response, thank you so much 😀

looks delightful.
I have found using a whisk instead of a wooden spoon is much better when adding liquid to roux

That sounds really delicious! You could add a little garlic if you're serving it with falafel 😊
I've been growing dill this seasona dn havent even used any of it yet. Can't wait to try this.
I appreciate this, thank you. Will try it!

Can i use it for salad dressing?
I wouldn't recommend that!
Hey Annie ..can I store this sauce in the freez? Plzzzz let me know
Yes! If you decide to freeze it, I would suggest adding the fresh dill once the sauce has defrosted, for that fresher flavour

Czech Koprová omáčka 😅 yummy
Can you use heavy whipping cream instead of milk?
I wouldn't recommend it, unless you add a little dash of cream with the milk 😊
I personally would say you can....hehe our work recipe is heavy whipping cream, grey poupon mustard, and dill
if i want to use this sauce more for pouring over fish for 2-3 people should i change the amounts and if so by how much?

I think half of this amount should be enough, I make this amount of sauce for 6 people :)
@@ChunsBuns11 thankyou so much! 🥰
Beautiful and I love your accent!
Can one use dried dill instead?
Yes, the fresh dill would be better for this recipe, but dry dill should be fine too :)
That teaspoon was a desert spoon bordering on table; guess that's a pinch of butter as well.
I meant to say tablespoon. Which is why I have specified quantities in the description!
Always remember hot roux + cold milk = no lumps every time.

Is this for before or after the salmon
Serve it with your salmon when it's cooked 😊
P.S. We called it grass gravy 😻
Is it fine not to put nutmeg?
Yes that's fine :)
We call that gravy where I come from. Maybe "dill" gravy, but fat+flour+milk+salt+pepper = gravy.
Are you by any chance American? 😊
Gravy in the UK is very different haha
