@clichematic you are incredible! Seems you always show me TR songs that hit me like lightning. Watching your compilation of last week. So far I am rocked by “In my mouth” and “Feel it” ---so many thanks👏👏👏❤️
I continue to be amazed by the work of Todd Rundgren. Todd, your music from the 1970’s holds up so well still. Your newer work inspires and moves me. Thank you for not ending your leadership in the world of music. You are truly among the very best!
Once again the three musicians outdo my expectations. I would not have thought the original could be outdone, but I like this version just slightly more, Todd's studio magic particularly in bending the sound effects, Wakeman's always astounding keyboards, and Tony Levin... I mean... Tony F'n Levin. Thank you thank you thank you.
It does justice to the original which has been one of my go-to albums since 1975. Wakeman is clearly present and Todd delivers as expected, simply perfect. Pre-ordered the album which'll live in the car for those long drives. Pink Floyd combined with the Yes sound and added others. You just made my day xxx
Wow my Friend! Coming to this late but these are Timeless so what does that matter! Amazing, Beautiful job on the Video Production. 🙏🏻😎🎆🎇 The Song of course, well what can be said. Just unbelievable!
No version will ever beat the live version the floyd played live in 1989. Highlight of the MLOR tour for me. I can still remember feeling the bass line going through me like a knife through butter.
This exceeded my expectations. Before taking this on those 3 icons knew they had to go beyond The Machine that is so deeply loved. This is my first introduction to your channel, i must subscribe thanks.

@ Thanks so much to you. Youve now introduced me to the entire tribute album i didnt know of. Satriani is excellent on it and these legends have created a masterpiece of their own. The keyboards are absolutely surreal. Love it, you are changing peoples lives, like mine, by introducing us to brilliant music we didnt know. All the best to you.

3 músicos peso pesado, legendarios, insuperables en lo suyo, re interpretando un enorme tema de una banda de mito! No podía creer la noticia, vengo a Yt y encuentro esta gema preciosa!
Just curious, what does this version bring to the table that the version by the original composers doesn’t? Sounds to me like it is just a cover, not adding much new, and not done as well.
3 года назад
If some virtuoso plays Beethoven, do you ask yourself the same question?
@ no, but for rock music seems kind of pointless to redo a song from someone else, essentially so close to the original release, and not even attempt to put your spin on it. Take All Along the Watchtower from Hendrix for example. If you are going to do a Dylan song right after its release, at least he put something of himself in it. Feels like this is a cover band I would pay $5 cover to see at the local pub. TR is obviously well above that.

Interesting collaboration by three legendary amazing musicians covering this Pink Floyd classic.
Surprisingly, this has humanised the song. The clarity of the vocals, I think.

Ricks solo is insane. So reminiscient of Going For The One. Incredible take on a masterpiece!

Bass
