    My favorite magical moment was when I was dining at Garden Grill with my friends and it was closing time and the attendant came up to us and said all of the characters wanted a group picture with us! I was so happy!!!!!

    When I meet princesses I always make sure to have a talking point beforehand to ease the "awkwardness." I just prefer meeting the non verbal characters I find it easier to have a conversation.

      Non-berbal? Mickey and Minnie, as well as others, have their recognized voices.

    This was such a cool insight into what character attendants do. We will always try to have a talking point.
    Thank you for sharing your experiences xx

    I understand why Disney's taking away the role of Character Attendant, but I feel like they can leave that as an option for the advantage programs at the very least. Assuming Disney has a high turnover rate like other jobs, 7 months is a decent amount of time for a job at other places. It stinks because Character Attendant was my top role and I'm applying for Spring 2020 and I know I would've been perfect for it too.

      It’s just a rumor for right now so until it’s confirmed, i would continue to study this role

      I hope it’s not true I was looking into doing the Disney program after I graduate in the fall and this was my top role.

    I got accepted for Character Attendant for Fall 2020, so it hasn’t been taken away from CPs yet lol. This video was very informative! Thanks!

    When I was at a character dining location a small child was pulling Plutos tail..I shouldve said something. When Pluto came over to me I apologized for the child being a brat and he animated a thank you and that he loves me. I cannot stand children who hurt the characters!!!!!

    Thanks for making this video it was super helpful and loved hearing your stories! Is it easy to pick up more shifts as an attendant or trade for longer shifts to get more hours? Or it is pretty over staffed? I’m also not sure if you’d know this but because there most likely won’t be Character Attendant CPs in the Spring do you think they’d still let Fall Character Attendant extend? And also because the waitlists are so long is it hard for Character Attendant CPs to get full time/part time or even seasonal after their program ends?

      Everyone gets around 40 hours and it’s hard to get overtime

    Have you seen any characters take a child or guest on a walk around the park as a magical moment if so would you go with them or stay at the line

    • @PartOfBrookesWorld
      @PartOfBrookesWorld  5 лет назад

      They wouldn’t walk around the park. The furthest they would go is to walk the guest to the door before they go off stage. Usually there are 2 attendants so one would stay with the line and one would go with them. If there was only one attendant I would still go with them

    This might fall under special training, I'm not sure, but have you ever worked with Kevin from Up? I've seen her in Disney vlogs walking around AK but I'm not sure if she has a meet and greet location. Second question, if you don't mind and this is kind of a weird question, when meeting the Disney Princesses, is it okay to say "I love your movie" or would it be better to say "I love your story"? Considering character integrity, like Ariel for example, I'm assuming she wouldn't know what a movie is? (weird question, I know, I'm sorry)

      Kevin is special training so I can’t work with her. Also “I love your story” just sounds better imo but either is totally fine!

    I’m so scared of being a character attendant because of the guests... I’ve heard of people getting punched when the line closes! How do you know when to close the line?

    • @PartOfBrookesWorld
      @PartOfBrookesWorld  5 лет назад +1

      I’ve never actually heard of anyone getting punched.... just empty threats. You learn in training how/when to close the line

      breaking news: a cm got punched today... no a character attendant, but a lady was mad about her Tower of Terror fastpasses not working so she punched the cm and ran inside to push buttons. Yikes.

      @@agletdontforgetit yes I heard about this. The reason it is making such big news though is because it is a very very very rare occurrence

    I am bummed that the DCP's will no longer be character attendants. Does this mean that Disney wants to hire employees and cut back on the DCP's?

    What sort of inappropriate things do the guests try to do to the characters? you mean like try to pull their heads or hands off to expose them to the children? that's just sick 😡
