Yes that's right!! We are a family of Six (#LPO6) living in a RV!! We bought a used 2004 Itasca Meridian 36G and remodeled it!! How did we make it work for us?? It look time and we converted the master bedroom into the kids bunk room! Laine and I decided to get a Sleeper Sofa and use that as our bed and its not as bad as one would think!! This is awesome! My wife and I had a 5th wheel in Montana but now we have a house in WTX. We hate it. We want to find a motor home and go back to it. Already looking into work from home options while I provide small engine work and tutorials but we are concerned about kids getting older. 4 kids is a challenge.
Hi John. The older kids could be a challenge but I’ve learned that kids are great at adapting as long as the parents make that transition easy and exciting. Wish y’all the best in moving forward.
You could just get a residential mini fridge if not a RV one. Then build storage around it?

I used a blow dryer and patience 😁! I also had a long puddy knife for scraping the glue off as it heated up.

I worry about the kids when they grow older they will need much more room. Kinda cramped in a RV and that fan looks dangerous for the kids. But it is a VERY NICE RV in general

She does very well with her small amount of closet and drawer space for a woman. That wouldn’t work for my clothes. I dare to ask where her shoes are lol

😂 you might be the first full timer lady I’ve seen admit to a clothes addiction. Mine is out of control. I have a full hope chest just housing the sentimental stuff, a full dresser of stuff I’m wearing and big baskets under my king bed for the rest and my closet for dresses 😂 I could own a store I think! If I ever get to go fulltiming I’ve decided to let go of it all and just get leggings and tunics so I can at-least have space in my little drawer for a variety of leggings. They are my favorite apparel anyways. This seriously is my biggest roadblock to fulltiming 🤦🏼♀️
Just adopt a minimalist lifestyle. I'm a woman and to me it's very stereotypical for women to have many clothes... I've seen guys have too many too, it really depends on the person. But minimalism is the way to go on this one! You really dont need much to be happy if you think about it 😊

Olivia 2000 I’m my neighbourhood there was a cat that would walk into everyone’s house all the time and no one knew who it belonged to. They moved away now.

This is really refreshing and amazing to see you are the only parents who gave the kids a really nice bedroom area and chose the couch bed for themselves unlike other couples who take up a huugee amount of space for their queen sized bed leaving the kids into cramped up bunk beds! Really really appreciate your effort and sacrifices,just like my parents,so thoughtful of you.You just got a new subscriber!
I have watched many videos of parents who built an entire bus around their children. That’s the reason they chose to do their own build. It would be very unsafe to room such small children in the front while they slept in the back. Children growing up in a traveling lifestyle are so blessed. It’s not only about the places they get to visit but to be able to spend such amount of quality time together making memories is beautiful.
I was surprised myself to see the sofa bed after watching the tour of the nice bed they had on the previous RV…definitely a downgrade. 😂

It’s definitely not for everyone but being close like this brings family close together instead of how the world prefers to separate ourselves and need our own space. Family is family not matter what or where!!

This is the first RV tour that I have seen where the kids dont get the short end of the stick. Usually the kids room is "upstairs" with a two foot ceiling, no actual room to do anything but lay down, and no privacy.
The RV design is simply amazing!! But can I just say how much I enjoyed listening to her talk. She has such a fun and positive personality!

Ms Liz, I teach for VIPKID, which is completely online. That will be our income for us. We will also use the funds from selling our home to purchase and keep in a savings account to help with unexpected expenses.
Ms Liz I have heard there are some traveling nurses. Maybe look into that? I don’t know too much about it, I do have a neighbor who is a wound nurse and she has a lot more schedule flexibility:) hope this helps. Good luck

i would say for more storage to get more cabinets to put around the fireplace instead of the decorative shelves. i know it looks cute but you could really be utilizing that big space more

I’d understand if it was just the two of you, but y’all have multiple kids living with you in a confined space and I just can’t imagine how you’re able to do your marital duties without them hearing 😂

😁 this was a concern of ours as well 😁 but with young kids they go to bed at 8:30 so from then on is mommy & daddy time 😉
Some RVs have two rooms Katie Sorensen. My gparents have one with a master with a door and a bunk bed room with a door. Maybe that would work? They have little so it's prob easier.

I personally prefer the all electric residential fridge over propane/electric. Running a compressor type on 120v its far more efficient than gas/electric (on electric power). A solar panel or two and a couple of Lithium batteries should be enough to handle the load needs (at least for the fridge) while boondocking. Also, the propane/electric fridge is one of the leading causes for RV fires. Just my .02 cents :)

I love how they put the kids room in the master and have the rest of the RV to themselves. I always see families living in Skoolies, RVs, Vans, etc having the kids sleep in the living rooms or in their bedrooms and I always think, "damn, the parents don't have any ALONE time." I mean for these families it works for them and makes them happy which is great- my mind just wanders to that. These guys really made it work and it makes sense to have the kids in bed early in a place where they can get quiet, while mom and dad are up using the living area and having that quality time to themseleves. kudos!!! Love the whole RV

Nicely done! I'd put the kiddos in the back of the RIG as well. Their in bed earlier, and the adults are up later. Plus you don't want them opening the door in the middle of the night, and not know it.

We also full time rv and did the same set up..having the kids in the back then us in the front of rv. I was/am adfraid of this happening...not ready to have thos convo!
We ended up putting a button on the door (that seperayes the back room/hallway and bathrrom area from the front room) so they can't open it at night.
