Yeah but we haven’t seen him in a direct match up with Joe “thoroughbred” Marler have we? So until that day, I will reserve judgement
Tbf, I was thinking more along the lines of Andy Goode, but you're right, a fairer competition would be Joe.
@@boiledegg6788 HA! knew the first response to this message would mention Goodey.
Nothing can stop Big Joe over 6 inches....he'd show Adam a clean heel!
My money is on Joe...
It's not just his pace it's his INSANE ACCELERATION
Agreed but not just the initial acceleration, but the change from 2nd gear to third is unbelievable
Acceleration like that is rare.
Zammit is quicker 🤔
@@terranceroper5434 ooo yeh maybe good point, never thought that of that idk. Would definitely be a great race, it would be really close
Always backs himself to go all the way🚀
Love watching him play, you can feel the crowd excitement when he gets the ball, perhaps not quite as fast straight line speed as LRZ, but better acceleration and fast feet. He should be a nailed on starter for England!
Incredible! England are lucky to have such talent
He reminds me a bit of Shane Williams, but possibly a bit faster. His 45 degree lines across the field are impressive, because of his speed but also the line is a cut back against the grain and unorthodox to defend against. I'd say he's also a decent ball handler and finisher by the looks of these highlights. I'd rather have someone with these skills, like Kolbe, rather than just a pure speedster who doesn't know how to use his teammates. May at times just plays by himself, which is his weakness. Jordan Larmour is like that as well. Shane Williams always played well off his teammates, Billy Whizz did too, thats what made them great
Once he gets up around 30+ international tries then start to compare to Shane.
@@dewijones1595 he's comparing his style to Shane Willliams not his achievements you absolute tool
Yeah, I'd say he's got better top end pace than either Williams or Robinson and looks to have similar acceleration and evasiveness. But those two were obviously very well rounded talents. They would still have been effective players without their pace (Williams particularly), even if they would probably have had to play in a different position. That's one thing that 's hard to tell about a player from short highlight reels - what their all-round skills are like. And Radwan is still very inexperienced at the top level of the domestic game. He's definitely very promising though. And blisteringly quick.
He's like Darcy Graham
He's always had a rare turn of pace but his stepping has improved remarkably over the summer. Danced around the quins players like Robinson used to. Scary prospect indeed.
He’s not scary. He’s exceptional.
Speaking of Robinsons, he reminds me of former welsh winger Harry Robinson. I think the guy retired due to injury but he was very similar to skill, speed and size. Look up his try for Wales against Barbarians.
He's always been that fast watched him play for Billingham RUFC at youth, colt and senior level before he signed for the Falcons....a great exciting English product from Billinghams junior and youth production line lol
It's his pick up. Goes from standing still to full speed in no time at all. Gets a metre free of the defender in a second or so. Acceleration beats speed in rugby.
Anyone watching this old enough to remember Iain Balshaw? He played like this for England in the autumn Internationals of 2000 and the 6 Nations of 2001 - he was simply brilliant and with the likes of Jonny Wilkinson, Jason Robinson, Lewsey, Cohen - England had very potent backs.
Balshaw was probably the fastest at the 2003 world cup.
However, so obscure I can't even find him on RUclips was little Dominic Chapman. Very similar running style. Socks rolled down. Feet never seemed to leave the floor. Played for Harlequins then Richmond in the late 90's. Won his only cap coming on in the 76-0 pasting by Australia in 1998.
@@darthmong7196 I think Caucaunibuca was possibly the fastest in 2003, though his tummy was already starting to appear so not quite as lean as his Blues days
Great attacking player - woeful in defence, his nickname on rugby forums at that time was ‘bombscare’ instead of Balshaw 😂
@@simondrew7346 I remember the press nicknamed him 'Balshaw Ballet' back in 2001!!
He steps in and out like a maestro. Like Campese; but faster. Just about every score there was incredible. Hope Newcastle can keep him and England protect him. But he seems a genuinely grounded young lad. Superb.
Half a sniff and he's offski's, good step good lines and can finish too. Lets hope he continues on the same trajectory, and graces the England team for years with his much needed pace
A great player and a great Lad too - very grounded & self aware too and so he is going to continue tolearn & improve. The ability to produce blistering Acceleration like that all comes from Power and you can see he has huge Quads. Even when some People do manage to hit him not many of them actually knock him over. Lets hope he gets a good Run of Games in the White Shirt.
According to an interview with him, at halftime he always eats half a bag of crisps
Grew up playing club rugby all the way to seniors with Adam. What a player he is! Pace has always been there for him
I don't say this lightly, he reminds me of a young Christian cullen. He could potentially be in that sort of league. Has all the balance, time, speed and footballing ability.
This is going to age well
This RUclipsr doesn’t have enough subsribers
I always loved the old pommy rugby sides.......massive forward packs.....lighting paced backs
his got full package and his confidence
With Watson now out injured, he can really impress this autumn
Would be a sensation in League and like Offiah he would not be ignored Internationally
I hope he gets a proper chance this Autumn
2:40 just made me burst out laughing, he's running from the right touchline to the corner flag which means he's going twice as far as everyone else and still rockets past them
In any tackle sport when you see a player just bust right through between two defenders who look like they have both just forgotten how to take the correct angle it is because they have insane acceleration and sometimes top speed too the defenders have never seen. Examples NFL Derrick Henry (terrifying) .RU Jason Robinson (meep-meep), RL Martin Offiah (class).
Derrick Henry is truly something to behold when he accelerates away. It doesn't seem possible that someone that size can move like that.
Here’s hoping he’s a replacement winger for 2023
if he starts he'll do serious damage
Reminds me of Martin Offiah with the zero to see you accelaration and the ability to move at pace going laterally. Time will tell.
He is exciting I thought EJ would almost certainly ignore him! 🤣
Randy Schwing: I totally understand your comment - it scares me that EJ will suffocate his skills like he has done with so many other talented lads. FIngers crossed the boy ignores him and scores/makes so many tries that he can't be dropped. Would be interested to see what he could do at fullback too!
@@ouiouipiggy4390 yeah I hope he does really well...personally would love to see Radwan on one wing, May or Watson on the other wing and Nowell at FB. If Daly is going to carry on for England it's at centre...or as a utility back replacement from the bench
Reminds me of Jason Robinson, the pace, the sidestep, the acceleration.
Fastest is a bit of a misonomer. Shane Williams was often referred to as "Wales' fastest", but he was outpaced by Colin Charvis over 100m! What mattered was acceleration over 30m, and Mrs Williams' boy was bonkers good at it. Mr Radwan seems to have the same gift, whilst also being built like a brick proverbial.
wow - that does surprise me! Colin Charvis had that sort of pace?
@@mlguy8376 According to a team-mate at the time, yes.
Pretty juvenlie comments below about Rees=Zammit and suchlike. I think top-end pace isn't that relevant for elite rugby - how often does a player get the space to hit top speed in test rugby? Not often, as the field is packed with other quick players. His acceleration, balance and footwork stand out for me and that is what'll set him apart, along with his ability to do the basics of a test winger. But without doubt a fabulous talent who reminds me most of Shane Williams in thee way he moves and also Milner-Skudder. Let's hope he can reach that level!
Not sure he has the highest top end, but his acceleration and footwork "sort of" remind me of David Duckham, and on that there can be no higher praise. But then again those are top club players he leaving for dead. Has Eddie come calling?
Sorry! - I played with David D, and he was a very different sort of player. Striding away into the open spaces he could fly, but he did need a little room to get going first and did not have 'quick feet' like Radwan. The labouring winger, playing outside DD, (modesty forbids) was as quick over the first '10 - 15', but then tried to draw the defence away and let DD run in. Often worked.
Oh gosh, so very long ago!
@@leplessis8179 "I played with David D" you just made me spit my beer over my keyboard, that was a classic comeback. You must have been a tidy player
Extraordinary. Can't wait for the 6 nations
First english player I've seen who rminds me of Caucau
That's not a bad comparison, lets hope he doesn't go AWOL and turn up somewhere in Egypt
Balance, lines, change of pace. It's not just speed.
Class! I wish his name was McRadwan!.........Sounds good when vocalised! Lol!
Nonesense. Radwan, son of Radwan, scion of Northumbria in the Kingdom of England has a far better ring to it!
@@hereward6771 But Scotland has a large Egyptian community......Dating back to the Ptolemeic Pharaohs, who gave us the Kilt. And your own name? Very old Anglo-Saxon name. But shouldn't it be spelled "HEREWEARD?"
@@oldmanwillyboy2786 You're thinking of my Californian cousin, Hereweird.
Adam Radwan is typical Polish name and surname
@@hereward6771 No, I'm not Hereweard is the correct original spelling.....
His footwork and acceleration are the key attributes, not the sprint speed. That being said, his spirit speed is rapid as well.
Fast and beautiful skills, remember me Christian Cullen NZ
❤ 2:35
Bizarrely doesn’t look fast but clearly is.
The angles he runs tie up defenders colliding with each other. Cannot recall seeing ball carrying like it
Fast players always look like they have another gear! They just glide. Incredible
Wow. What a speedster, combined with moves. Gerald Davies-like.
If only England had a player with his abilities for the past 5 years or so. *ahem Christian Wade *ahem
There probzbly never be nobody as fast as Billy Whizz, he was gold
I hope he stays at Falcons 😢😢😢
I doubt it
@@theamazingworldofkezza5132 - The Falcons squad is getting stronger each season. Losing players because they have an escape clause in their contract if the team is relegated thus becomes less likely. Even with this steady loss of players in recent years, the squad is dominated by EQPs, which is a good thing
Defence coaches nightmare.
Nice seeing you around
@@UKMSports you too.
Great player .
love it like getting jason robinson back.
Not the quickest in a straight line but his step is monstrous!!!
Who is the quickest ?
@@robertlayte61 Rees-Zammit is faster 100%. He plays in England and all all these clips are in the English league so does he count?
@@rhodwilliams7258 Radwan hit 37.5km/hr in training. I think he beats LRZ he’s rapid
@@callum1971 In the 100m time stats I've seen, May is faster than LRZ, but LRZ has definitely smoked Jonny May a few times on the pitch. So I'm not really sure which stats actually translate to "rugby field quick" if you catch my drift. I think acceleration is probably just as important. Shane Williams definitely wasn't that quick top end, but it didn't really matter because by the time he broken the line, he'd scored before anyone could get up to speed to catch him. Could be the same with Radwan?
@@rhodwilliams7258 LRZ said at one point May was shattered and he wouldn't normally be able to run past him like that (in the 6n game). May is still stupid fast.
As you get older I think your acceleration slows down a bit, I think Radwans got both. It would be great to see them 3 in a 100m race
He’d burn Rees-Zammut off like he was standing still
No way!
No he wouldn't, nor May. He is more of a Shane Williams
What's the background music, Andrew? Its brilliant.
More than a touch of Shane Williams about him, same size and crazy acceleration. I think Zammit would be quicker at top speed, but Radwan's acceleration is something else.
I think he's more of a package than LRZ, maybe his top speed is higher but Radwan's acceleration and footwork, plus ability under the high ball is pretty unreal.
Nice to see a race between him and LRZ, I know who I'd have my money on.
LRZ is great in a straight line, but hes got nowhere near the same footwork as radwan.
@@user-cy2gp7pm8d agreed, however, I reckon the most underrated part of LRZ’s game is his offloading, which is absolutely world class
@@mpbeastohugbear83 offloading? you mean he gets caught? pfft.
@@mpbeastohugbear83 yes in a straight line Zammit would win every time and his offload is awesome. but Radwan is like shane Williams . catch him if you can..
@@chrispugh2450 LRZ 10.5 m/s Radwan 10.85 m/s. Pretty big gap there.
Jonny May won't want to see that too often.
Like to see him with Will Jordan
Can't understand why he is not in the England squad. Any ideas anyone?
(Henry Arundell has entered the conversation)
no answer to acceleration and speed..........Billy Whizz mark two and then some.........
Radwan Vs LRZ foot race
He's very quick, but I think May and a couple of others are still faster. Louis Rees Zammit (if we are talking prem) is DEFO faster than Radwan.
No he isnt, Radwan 10.85 m/s, Jonny may 10.59 m/s ZRZ 10.50. Remember JM and LRZ play for the same team so they know exactly what there best speeds are. But Radwan is on another level. The stepping and acceleration
The new Jason Robinson?
Maybe, unless you count Rees-Zammit playing at Gloucester
Radwan's fastest speed he's been clocked at is faster than that of LRZ!
Shades of Shane Williams, Kolbe and Billy whiz!
I am pretty confident May is faster in a 60 yard dash but speed alone is not everything
Faster than May, Radwan’s best speed is recorded at 10.85m/s while May’s is 10.59m/s
@@AndrewDavidForde that is top line speed. Not 60 yd dash.
Why is he not a regular for England??
Can u pls do Michael Hooper or Marika Korenbetti from Wallabies
1:18 Whats the song?
Rapid acceleration but I reckon LRZ goes past him by 30 yards. Would love to see the two of them have an end to end race!
Na he is slower, we al know that, Radwan is 10.85 m/s but is Radwan going to get a shout? Not that sure
Don't think he's fast with regards to 100 metre speed but that doesn't matter at all. He's a bit like milner-skudder, side steps and acceleration. There aren't many really quick rugby players because the game is about more than pure speed.
Article out several months ago gave him a 10.4. Don't know if it is true.
He set a new England top speed record of 39.1km/h.. That's 10.4-10.5 sec 100m territory easy
@@Nyasalands_Finest High top end. Would come down to whether he could sustain over the last 40m. But in practical terms ,his quickness is what sets him apart. He gets into full stride incredibly quickly and is impossible to chase down.
@@Nyasalands_Finest Until he runs it on a track with FAT timing, he’s not “10.4-10.5 territory easy” - that would put him in the top 50 for all sprinters in the UK.
@@qmkut9121 He ran 10.85m/s in rugby boots. That is faster than Elaine Thompson can run in spikes and it was run in rugby boots on the field during a training session. Ollie Sleightholme has run a similar velocity. Marcos Moneta of Argentina hit those numbers on a run in Dubai 7s a few weeks ago and Ioane against Australia chasing Tom Banks. We had an NFL player on our team run 10.37sec straight off the bat after 15 days of training. 10.4 is attainable for the quicker professional athletes. 10.2 is another level. That takes a year or more of just sprint based training only. The difference between the two is one trains to accelerate fast and hold his top end while the other trains for rugby. Their top ends are similar. Think Norton vs Isles race. Once Norton got going he held off Isles over 80m. ruclips.net/video/33zYN94JOHw/видео.html
Good vid, shame about the awful US generic heavy rock muzak...
The Gazza of Rugby 👍
Song name?
Nice video
Bit like Jason Robinson.
Why is he not playing for England?
The try at 2:35 is fucking ridiculous
Yes
Put a few pounds on this guy he can make it in the NFL is a running back
If anything this highlights some questionable tackling 1:48 for example how the hell is he getting through there ?!
You are always told to straighten up as a runner. I guess that only applies if you don't accelerate twice as fast as everyone else...
I think he is the English answer to Louis Reese Zammit
Meet meep
Unreal
Between him and Henry Arundell
Arundell not as quick
More than just pace, it's the elusive and deceptive running, combined with a rugby brain. Should be a threat at wing or full back.
Is he quicker than kolbe ?
Don’t know him but ffs he’s like a greyhound a lot of skill
If anyone doubts Radwan should be playing for England then this video should change your mind. He left May for dead with sheer pace.
That plays for England or plays in England?
The LRZ has a challenger!
Zammit no accelleration and his lines are ordinary .
Would rate Ollie Sleightholme higher to be fair.
Wonder how he compares to Zammit
I think it is a test between Adam radwan, Marcus Smith ere both fast rugby players it’s hard to decide he’s faster tbh
Smith is nowhere near him.
Marcus Smith has an excellent natural rugby brain. That's what makes him special. He sees the gaps and plays what's in front of him. But he isn't in the same league speed-wise as May, Radwan or Rees-Zammut.
Bring on the taffs and the sweaty socks!!!!!
He so stupidly fast
Wog wan,, Radwan
Is he as fast as louis Rees zammit?
I think Henry Arundell might just be quicker.
In Britain
technically through stats jonny may is a but faster but i do think radwan should play for england
May has been clocked at 10.49 m/s, but Radwan was clocked at the England camp at 10.85 m/s.
He is super fast ! But Anthony Watson is officially the fastest player in England
Over how far?
Is he covered in soap or what?
I thought Jonny may
