This chilli sauce recipe is absolute fire! Amazing tasting - way better than the Oporto version. Followed the recipe, then once cooked added an extra garlic clove and chilli so it retained some fresh flavour.
Measured and weighed everything as per the recipe. While it was very close, it was a little too much vinegar (some something else didn't cut through the vinegar enough). I will tweak until I'm satisfied. Thanks for getting me started on this yummy journey.
Hi, @hindi4521...not sure about her @ name, but she suggested a different addition...Lemon Grass instead of Lemon & Lime instead or red wine vinegar...look at her comment from 7mth ago. I think the amount of sugar he used is terrible for me as a Diabetic..people just aren't aware of the systematic poising of people to make food palatable. 12 spoons of sugar in Coca-Cola...what the rest made out of..dog Poo mixed with bitumen and Marmite...without sugar, can it be drunk?
For anyone who wants to make the sauce correctly use canola oil not red wine and olive oil, I like mine hotter than the weak oportos so use 1 carolina reaper to 10 birds eye chilli's blended with a jar of crushed chilli's from woolworths and when it's all made let it sit for 5 days before eating it

It is pan seared and we usually douse the pan with a lot of oil for it to fry. Only the full chicken dish is grilled. I used to work at Oporto coogee back in uni.

If you want it to taste exactly like oporto, add lime instead of lemon and fresh LEMONGRASS

Anthony’s Long Bondi was the only Oporto . From Maroubra or Bondi. Everything else was just a pretender. Although this looks pretty good.

Oporto is disgusting. To much bread, way to much oil in the burger sauce and the food is inconsistent.
