You can also try cinnamon oil and use it in an aroma/oil diffuser. I'm doing this same as with lavender, which works great (also for flies)
Rosemary essentiall
Oil is another good one
Can u tell me how u use it to get rid of flies
Tip: Trader Joe’s lavender Hand sanitizer spray worked great with flies. I spray down Outside table at restaurants. No more pesky flies landing on your food. Works very well!💯🚫🪰🚫
Flies love cinnamon and spices😂
Do they drink it in their coffee?😂
Thank you for sharing. I am going to try this recipe I believe it will help me and my family IJN AMEN 🙏

Hi from Moorreesburg in the Western Cape of South Africa. We live on a small holding, surrounded by cattle, turkeys, chickens, sheep & goats, so flies are a huge nuisance. All the other expensive sprays help for a while, so will definitely try this. Thank you very much and success in your future ventures.
and?
Any results in Africa already?😊
Did it work? I have the exact same problem
Any results? I am in the same situation in the western cape

Flies are now becoming the national bird of South Africa due to the incompetence of our local municipalities (in some areas), to clean up our towns. Thanks for this natural remedy.
Just keep your house clean and they won't be such a problem.

Thank for this great sharing. Cape Town South Africa.Much appreciated👏🏼✨
I could see spraying this on plants or in the waste can, but not on the walls. I already use stick cinnamon and cloves in the apple cider I steam to make the house smell nice. Haven't noticed flies, so perhaps that's why.
Please give your recipe with the method
@@miss_S Not really a "recipe" but I put one cup of apple cider, two cinnamon sticks, and a tablespoon of cloves in a potpourri steamer (which is kind of like a device for melting scented wax). You could also add grated nutmeg, fresh orange peel, and other spices and just simmer it on the stove. It's just to make the house smell nice, but after watching this I wondered if it was also discouraging flies and mosquitoes.
@@wyominghome4857 thank you..I just feel the spraying method could stain my walls..
@@miss_S Me too. :)

Thank you! It's so nice idea. From Japan.
Your channel so meaningfull , thanks & bestwishis. 👍👌
I used boiling water and added a lot more cinnamon along with a couple shots of gin. Seems to work ok but I can't tell if the flies don't like the smell or simply don't like being sprayed with water.
Sprayed a wall outside where they sit and they came back 2 minutes later.
So yeah, try just spraying a fine mist of water while shushing them out the door or window first before going through extra efforts.
theylle be back for more Gin.
Thank you!!!👍👍

From Jamaica thanks must try this good evening
Tried this out and sprayed it on a window where tons of dung flies were gathered. (I have gotten an infestation of them since I have a rabbit indoors)
Doesn't work at all unfortunately, unless this only works for certain flies and mosquitoes. In fact they now seem to gather around the droplets left from the spray.
That sucks! Spray some ‘Off’ or other bug repellent.
Double check that your cinnamon is not mixed with sugar… just a thought
Maybe try Orange oil
Me neither
It's just a terrible RUclips idea
thanks for sharing your simple knowledge.. i'll try this and i will give you feedback immediately.. from General Santos City, Philippines..

Beautiful content thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing that is great I will try it.
Take a paper towel and lay it out flat. Sprinkle ground cinnamon all over it. Don't over do it, just enough to sporadically cover it. A crushed up bay leaf is an added option. Now start from one side and roll it up tight like a cigarette keeping the cinnamon spread out and not clumped up. When it is rolled up....5wist it tighter from end to end.
Now use a cast iron skillet or metal pan and light it with fire on one end. If it burns very far on the outer later, smother that fire out. I use a mini torch to start it. It will smolder from one end to the other like a cigarette. If you have a big problem with insects, you can sprinkle a little cayenne in the mix, but please avoid the smoke. Again, this will burn not with flames, but like a cigarette. It burns semi slowly. Insects will vacate the area.
Great tip, thanks. Will definitely try it out.
I'm in Texas gonna try this tomorrow 😂
So much to read for me better out the house on fire permanent solution 😂 just kidding
