Just can't think what Ch4 were thinking when they decided to axe SPL it is the best daytime programme. Such fun and everything is spontaneous and relaxed. It has covered such a variety of topics and has been so much fun. I have watched it since it was in Steph's front room. I always have my lunch watching if I am in. It will be much missed. I hope it leads to other things for you but am sure it will leave a void. Steph has really set the bar high in hosting a programme that feels like family. I missed the last one but will watch on catch up. Anyway good luck for your TV career, you couldn't have a had a better environment and supportive crew.

I’m just catching up on this & it had me crying all over again watching the opening number of the final SPL 😢. It was truly the best daytime show & I miss it so much, especially now we’re into the new year! You were always amazing on the show Mr C & your confidence grew with every appearance.

I've watched your RUclips channel pretty much from the beginning. So was really chuffed when you were on Stephs show. Thank you for sharing behind the scenes of your last day. Definitely was the best daytime TV programme. In a time where ITV has had so many issues the public is looking for alternatives and SPL was that. Hopefully, someone else will see the potential and her show will go to another channel and still come from Leeds. I'm a Londoner so it was refreshing to have a show like this on TV. She'll hopefully be back on our screens soon.

I'm in the US, but was watching your Budget Gifts video anyway and absolutely fell in love with the M & S shortbread tins. I don't think there are any M & S US stores, so I just put it in the back of my mind....until....I went to Target and BAM!!! right on a shelf in the center of the aisle were the M & S shortbread tea light tin houses, and a little red car with a tree on top that has chocolates inside. The amount of inappropriate squealing, picture taking, and buying I did must have terrified the couple standing next to me who were also oogling the tins. This has made my universe today!

Being in the US, I e only seen snippets on IG and really laughed a lot or tears too for those that had challenges and over came them or learned a different way of what their normal was. I had a good laugh on the last segment you shared.

Every time I hear the news someone has killed it shit or stole something from someone. I told my wife maybe we should just leave the US because it seems things are going to Hell in a hand basket.
I was so excited the other Day when I ran across M&S in our local target and found the chocolate with the puppies and the names and the beautiful tins , prosecco and bits and Bob's. Bought them all. Made me feel good. We are hoping to go to London next year.

Awwww Mr C. SPL looked like such a fun and interesting show. I know viewers will miss it. So good helping out the cat rescue. I took my granddaughter to London a few years ago during Christmas break. We took a bus ride in an old double decker to see the Christmas lights. It was magical. I know there are wonderful things coming your way. You are so kind and fun to watch.❤

Agree, SPL warmest kindest show on tv. I watched the last show and tears just ran down my face. The show connected with so many people, with an incredible team involved. I wondered who was responsible for the art on the show, always bright and light, reflected the show perfectly. ( Well done Chris! ) Tears welling during this video. All those wonderful people out of work at Christmas. I think this was my main concern. No doubt some have moved on, but what about the lunch mates and the regulars, the crew etc. SPL covered the stories others avoided, had guests that had something to say, existed in the real world.Perfect tone for these troubled times. Personally speaking, if I see another middle class Christmas recipe with ingredients you already have in your cupboard ( truffle oil etc. ) I shall scream!!! Steph - legend.

Would definitely have watched it if I could have.
Seems to me that it is exactly the right program for these times.
So much doom and gloom in the world and on TV. This program was such a refreshing change, I can’t help but wonder what C4 were thinking, for them to end it.
Feel sad for everyone as you all come across as such a friendly, happy working group.
Hopefully the staff and yourself will be snapped up by other more sensible program creators, who can see what is needed in these difficult times.
I have been following your Utube videos for ages now, love everything about it, have introduced you to my children. One of my girls protested, thinking that ‘Mr Carrington’, was someone that would have started in Last of the Summee Wine.

Oh Mr C, I thought this was a fabulous video, feel so sad that SPL is not going to be on any more, I really feel for you all because you seem like one big happy family. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻someone might realise that this show is a real need, it’s so lighthearted but important subjects are discussed and brought to light, and bring it back, maybe a prime time show, now that would be great. I did watch you on tv with Angelica, and nearly spat my drink out when I saw it was you with the crafting section, how great to see you on tv in the evening, yes please we want more.
