Living in Chicago it’s too late for bulbs here but will remember for next year all your tips.

I love watching your gardening videos!! I’m on year 5 in our new house and it’s def an ongoing process and a labor of love getting (and keeping)your yard and flower beds established and thriving! 💖 Ps I have some daffodils that are white with coral in the middle instead of yellow- they are GORGEOUS and would look spectacular with your pink and orange tulips!!

Omg girl we are 5 year home twins 😂 November was my 5 year anniversary in this house lol. Gardening is absolutely a labor of love and I feel like I just enjoy it so much more now vs all the consumerism in the home decor community (which I actually may make a video about haha). Good to know about the daffodils bc this is my first year planting some, and I’m not usually a fan of that intense yellow, so I can’t wait to see how these come in!! Thank you so much for your words of encouragement!!! Seeing your comment made my morning :) 💕💕💕

@@MissAnnieB ooh that would be a great topic for a video! I def bought into the consumerism for a couple years myself (prob fueled by YT 😂) but quickly realized I don’t want or need more stuff. To be so for real I have a bonus room in my basement that was intended to be my craft room but has become a catch all for all the things! Some boxes I still haven’t unpacked in 5 years. Ugh that is my goal while we’re stuck inside this winter to finally get a true inventory of what I have/need/want and donate the rest. 💖💖

I love the path you’ve planned out! Also, I snagged a trellis on Amazon for like $30 a few years back - it’s nothing super fancy, but enough for a clematis to climb. I added solar twinkle lights to it and it’s pretty fun.

Why do you put cardboard down when you plant the bulbs?

The cardboard is down as a weed barrier for this area I’m sculpting out as a flower bed, and I just plant my bulbs and plants by drilling holes in the cardboard :)
