I Fully Embarrassed Myself in Zoom Class

Like almost every other kid, Ness has spent a ton of time doing the distance learning thing - zoom class after zoom class - and usually without a problem. She had classes with other random ninth graders and they all got matched up based on what courses they were taking. After first semester she thought she was fully a master of zoom class. She'd seen a couple of storytime videos on RUclips where crazy stuff happened in online learning classes, embarrassing stuff, and she promised herself to be careful.
Second semester of freshman year started and she wound up having french class first thing in the morning. The french teacher wanted the class to work on small group projects and so she put them all into breakout rooms with groups of five or six other kids. Now, Ness has a cat - kind of a grumpy cat - and he never meows, well, only when he is hungry, and so naturally Ness Meows at him, tries all sorts of things to get this cat to react, but he won't.
Ness is in her zoom breakout class and she turns off the video for a minute so she can stretch out. And, her grumpy cat just happened to be in her room, and so she just started stretching and doing what she always did, meowing and making all kinds of noises to try to get her cat to care, and on top of that, because she was stretching, the sounds were even louder and weirder than usual.
When she was done, she looked at her screen and saw HER MIC WAS ON!!!! She had only turned off her video and had forgotten to turn off her mic. Everyone in the zoom class was cracking up and Ness was so embarrassed, fully embarrassed. Not only that, but her teacher had dropped into the breakout group and she looked really mad.
Ness didnt know what to do, she slammed her hand down on the keyboard to turn the mic off, and again, she thought she had, but actually she hadn't, and she threw herself on the floor and screamed at the top of her lungs. And everybody heard, everybody. They were cool about it, and the teacher had already left the zoom class, but still, so embarrassing.

Almost happened to me, but it was only like two sentences, because the teacher told me pretty soon that I forgot to turn it on.

Honestly, the weirdest thing that ever happened to me in my zoom classes was that I was playing a song that "wasn't clean and appropriate to the class" and it was loud and people heard it...
The best thing you can do in a situation like this is to have the self confidence to own up to it and try to play it off as a joke.

Omg, reminded me happened to me last year. I was on my latin class and professor asked me to translate some sentence from my textbook. After i did it, i forgot to turn off my mic. Then, professor called out one of my schoolmates to translate next one. That girl was one of those b*tchy girls in the class, something like "Regina George wannabe". Before corona, while we were at school, everytime professor asked me to do some tasks, i could see that girl whispering in background: "Ooh, lets see how much she knows."
This time, when professor asked her for translation, not knowing my mic is on, i whispered (it was loud enough to be heard): "Ooooh, lets see how well do you know, you stupid a$$."
She started making excuses like: "Professor, i lost my textbook, i can't find a page..."
Then i whispered:" Nya, nya nya, nya, nya..."
Professor didn't reacted at all, but one of my good friends texted me that my mic is on, and that they heard everything... I died literary.... 😅😅😅🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ But its because i didn't know if my professor heard me saying that... She literary told nothing to me...
Somewhat later, i was with my friends and one of them mentioned what i did on latin class, and other ones bursted laughing and started congratulating me: "Well done, girl. Good job. Serves her right. You got this ..."
First i felt embarssed, because i told it in front of professor, and i still haven't found out if she really heard me. But then, i started laughing too, cause i was somewhat proud of myself by comebacking that arrogant b*tch and i absolutely dont care if she heard that.
But, from that day, i keep checking my mic all the time, cause i dont want to some another professor hears me. 😅😅😅😅

My entire class (31) and my teacher saw it. My teacher screamed my name, i could swear i almost had an heart attack. That was so embarissing
i remember this one time i logged into class early and there were just five students in. i hate online school and i was kinda complaining to my mum bout it, dissing the school and making fun of a few of my classmates. then i look over to my laptop screen and see that I'm unmuted.

After that I realised my microphone was still on so everyone was able to hear me scream and talk about the game and it was really embarrasing.
