I Got Caught Vaping At School And Grounded

It was a few days before the last day of school and the start of summer vacation. All the kids were totally excited and pumped to be done with school and there was just a lot of crazy energy in the halls and in classes.
Roxy met up with her best friends by the lockers and one of her friends asked her if she could bring her vape to school the next day. Of course she said yes because this was one of her best friends, and it was the end of the school year, and they were all feeling a little bit bold and defiant.
Now, the vape wasn't technically hers - she wasn't legal age (underaged) to be buying vapes or vaping - it was her older brother's juul and he was old enough. So the next morning she snuck into his room before school and grabbed his vape and hid it in her backpack. She felt weird and nervous even just having it with her, and her dad thought she was acting weird in the car on the way to school, but she kept it together.
When she got to school her friends were all there waiting for her and they want off to find a safe place to vape where they wouldn't get busted by the teachers and principal and principals or hall supervisors. But the hallways and stairwells were crowded with kids and teachers and supervisors and the only place that seemed safe and private was the girls bathroom.
So Roxy and her friend went into the girls room while their two guy friends stayed outside and sort of stood guard in front of the door. They started vaping and making thick clouds of smoke and passing it back and forth. Suddenly one of their other friends came in and wanted to know what they were doing.
It wasn't very smart of her maybe - she was really risking getting caught - and she was truly just kidding around, but Roxy blew a big cloud of vape smoke right into the girls face and started laughing. After that they left all went off to class.
Little did Roxy know that that girl who had come in to see what they were doing, and saw them vaping, immediately ran off to go snitch on her and get her caught for vaping at school. She went straight to the principal's office and reported her.
Roxy and her friends were sitting in class when a school supervisor opened the door and whispered something to the teacher. Then the teacher called out for Roxy and she raised her hand and the supervisor came to her desk and asked her where her backpack and school things were. Roxy knew she'd been caught and was so scared, so, instead of grabbing her own backpack - she really didn't want to caught for vaping at school, didn't want to get punished or worse, suspended, grounded - she grabbed her friend's backpack instead.
The supervisor walked her to the vice principal's office who essentially told her that she had been caught vaping and that she needed to pat her down and look through her stuff. Since it wasn't really her backpack there wasn't a vape inside, but since she had accidentally grabbed a boy's bag, it became pretty obvious that it wasn't hers.
After trying to keep the lie going and failing, she finally gave up and just told the truth. She got caught vaping at school and there was nothing she could do about it. They brought her friend to the office, and her actual bag, and when the vice principal realized how they had all tried to fool her and get one over on her, she got really mad. She yelled at Roxy and told her how badly she had broken her trust.
Roxy's parents got called and her brother had to come and pick her up. She didn[t just get a referral, she got suspended from school - SUSPENDED - and then, really totally grounded for the whole summer. No phone, no friends, nothing - fully and totally grounded is almost an understatement.
She learned her lesson in a big way. Those couple of puffs of nicotine vapor cost her the entire summer, and then some. You know what her message is - vaping was not worth it!

People really think "playfully" blowing smoke in someone’s face is okay. There’s someone in my life that constantly smoke and refuse to do it far away enough where I won’t suffer the consequences of it. People have a right to say no to even be exposed to drugs and addictive substances.
Believe it or not, those surrounded by smokers also suffer the consequences if they inhale that smoke. It’s common sense.
Plus, it’s just plain rude. Some people have really bad reactions to certain scents.
I vape and even I hate it when people blow it in my face without my consent. And I don't do it to others. Some people have asthma or other conditions or they just don't like the smell. It's rude.
As well as that absolutely no consideration for those with breathing difficulties and smoking/Vapiing just triggers nasty reactions

Vaping is healthier than smoking. One of my friends at the local cancer ward, has a dad who used to smoke. He quit smoking and started vaping because he didn’t want cancer as well. She has the same kind of cancer as me. I wish my mum would stop smoking. I would rather she vaped.

Dexteriot It is actually. Vaping can increase your blood pressure, increase your adrenaline, which then increases your heart rate which makes the risk of a heart attack more likely. Just because it’s healthier than smoking, that doesn’t make it healthy. Nicotine is a toxic substance.

This actally teaches us that just don't lie or try to get away with it when you've been caught already. Because this just tells the teachers that you can't be trusted with things like that, and you would be in more trouble than you would've been if you admitted to it.

This makes me think of a friend back in middle school. When I was in about the 6th or 7th grade, I was friends with this boy, who I later found out had actually smoked weed. And yk because we were so young I thought he was just saying that to sound cool- But he missed a few days of school and everyone started getting a bit concerned. When he came back he didn’t really say much about it until a week later, some of us got on the topic of smoking and he said the real reason he missed school was because he was smoking weed and some of it got into his system, he was getting dizzy, started panicking and couldn’t even have a simple meal without throwing up…

Tbh,this girl deserved the punishment. First of all, stealing your brother's vape, her brother isn't going to trust her, then getting caught and acting like it's the other girls fault and lastly lying about where the vape is, some friend she is. Honestly, this girl shouldn't be vaping, she's not old enough, she isn't even in college or can afford to buy one. She's going to end up addicted to nicotine and start smoking (which happens to a lot of kids who start vaping imo)
Don't vape just because it's cool and you want to show off to people. Personally I don't think anyone should vape just for the sake of it, as kids will vape with nicotine then will want to smoke cigarettes. I vape because I started smoking at 15 (i'm 17 now) and used it as sort of way to calm done without anyone knowing and it became a very bad habit where I smoked everyday, sometimes until I felt sick or my chest would hurt (2-4 a day). A few months ago my friend wanted to make sure I would never smoke another cigarette in life and because of my asthma (had asthma all my life) so she bought me a vape to use when I have an urge to smoke. Haven't smoked a cigarette for about 3 months now. Suprisingly my mother didn't mind me smoking before but she dislikes vaping. She doesn't mind me vaping, just as long as i'm not being disrespectful or anything.

Last year, I think it was just after the Halloween holidays or in December, one of my friends from primary school ,we’ll call her Tea, brought in a vape that she had found on the floor and had cleaned, It was not until everyone in my year group had started to line up to go to our first class that one of my other primary school friends, we’ll call her Egg, looked really excited and told me that Tea had brought in a vape and Egg and Tea we’re going to vape at the very edge of the playground and asked me to join them, that day there was also a book fair going on in the library and most of my friends were up in there buying books and stuff so I had no one to talk to except Tea and Egg, I told them yes but I’ll watch them and I told them straight that I don’t want a puff. They accepted my opinion and then at break I saw Egg, who was puffing on the vape, and this other girl called Apple (not her real name), who was sharing the vape with Egg, then my other primary school friend called Fry came and started to vape too, so I was surrounded by a bunch of people vaping and blowing into each others faces until my best friend came, we’ll call him Rat, who obviously didn’t know about the vaping (he also went to my primary school) and I was told not to tell him. Then the next day came around and I saw Fry, Egg and Tea all surrounding each other puffing on a new vape that was apparently Fry’s Dad’s. I completely ignored them and went about my day until I was told by Egg that Fry had been caught vaping in the halls by our year group supervisor called Mr Coop (not his real last name) and then Mr Coop told Fry he was going to call her parents which obviously made her cry and then she snitched on Tea and told Mr Coop about the day before which made Mr Coop bring in Tea and then Tea said “It’s just a rumour, It’s just a rumour!” Which obviously it was not. I felt super overwhelmed by this. Then at lunch, I was sat with my friend called, Eclair (not her real name), who already knew about the ‘situation’, until Tea came secretly holding the vape and she told me and Eclair to hide it for her, obviously it was a vape and we didn’t want to vape so we said no but she kept guilt tripping us into hiding it so there was the vape in front of us now and we were panicking, so we got my coat and put it on the chair next to us and hid it but we were scared since we were only in year 7 (still am now but this September I’ll be in year 8). Then I told Rat what happened and he wasn’t surprised at all and then the end of the day came and apparently the vape had gone ‘missing’ and Fry and Tea were freaking out (Egg already had told me that she was going to tell her parents so she wasn’t worried about it) so thenI walked home in tears and told my dad everything, he was more shocked she see that I had hid a vape but it was a guilt tripping situation so he understood but told me never to do it again, then, still in tears, me and my dad went to go and pick up my little brother Alfie from school, my old primary school, and then afterwards we saw…Fry’s mum so then I started to cry whilst my dad spoke about what happened and everything I had told him and then she had said she had got a call off my school about Fry vaping with Tea and that the vape wasn’t her dad’s it was her mum’s. Fry’s mum said I should worry about it and it will be sorted soon enough and Fry and Tea shouldn’t be putting that much pressure on me because that would be being a fake friend (spoiler alert they are). Then when me,my dad and Alfie got back into the car, we saw Fry, Tea and another one of my primary school friends who doesn’t go to my school called Mickey were walking down the road speaking until they caught a glimpse of me from my car window from outside, I was looking out of it, and they looked angry. Then, when I got home, I saw that my phone had some WhatsApp messages unread from Fry and Tea. Tea’s messages said ‘Who do you think you are, ‘why are you lying and spreading rumours about me and Fry’ and ‘What if I told Mr Coop and your dad lies about you?’ Which we’re obviously really overwhelming every minute of the day, I felt like I was going to get jumped and beat up by Tea at the end of the day the next day so I was in tears while doing my homework. My dad told me to calm myself down and that I wouldn’t get jumped the next day even though Tea is really scary when she’s angry. Then the next day came around and I was scared and trying not to seem afraid of her until English came around and me and Tea are in the same class and I was seated next to her…she gave me a dirty look and whispered into my ear “I’m ground for 5 months because of you, you little dick” so I started to shake and I went to my English teacher on Thursdays ,Ms Friendly (not her real last name) and I to,d her everything outside of the class, she sent me to another classroom so the supervisor of the school would come and pick me up to talk to her (her name was Mrs Kleen) so I went to another classroom and I felt super overwhelmed until this really nice year 11 English teacher came in and She told me to write everything that has happened down for her and Mrs Kleen. So I did as I was told. Then, after her year 11 English lesson she brought me down to the English office, she was really comforting and kind towards me when we were walking to the English office where Mrs Kleen was, she left me there with Mrs Kleen who then I gave the written explanation to and she told me to sit down and she’ll call Mr Coop down so she can read it with him. Then he came down and read out everything and told me that there will be no problem with sorting this out. Now present day, school starts in a day or maybe two days and I’m not scared at all. I have found more kinder and respectful friends who treat me right and don’t force me to hide vapes or vape.

Vaping can be extremely relaxing just like smoking. Teens are usually put under a lot of stress (especially in high school), and they sometimes don't know how to deal with it. I vape as well, but luckily I'm not stupid enough to bring my baby to school. 😂
