I think the main takeaway from these books is if you're a couple, NEVER go for a car or buggy ride or you're going to die and your kid get adopted. Huh. Maybe that's my origin story. Probably nothing that good, though. Anyway... These books DO sound interesting. I mean, if they can get some people, especially young ones, interested in history, they're doing something right. That was one good thing about the late 90's/early 00's...There was definitely a thriving children's book market. Dang! That old Oregon trail video game. Especially the Dos one. You go ten feet and BAM! You've got the typhus! Kept many a kid quiet so the teacher's could get some grading done. Run for Hope. Where does the race start? I had to comment on that one. As well as the Hope dies. So many different ways that could be taken. I guess if you were on a trampoline, Hope would spring eternal. Sounds like the party missed out when you didn't wear the low cut black dress. Then again, with that much of a crowd, you probably saved yourself some problems. Great video!
