I used to be really into tblt when I was in 6th grade, I usually cringe when I think about my old phase but the first movie would always be a massive W and hold a special place in my heart Plus radio and lampy were always my favorite they're so silly
I grew up watching The Brave Little Toaster movies. While the sequels were okay, I still prefer the first Brave Little Toaster. Thank you for this video, Jambareeqi!
I watched all three as a kid so with my nostalgia bias I love them equally. But when analyzing their strengths, my ranking would be the same as yours. It's kind of amusing that Goes to Mars retains less of the original's vision than To the Rescue, since it was based on an actual book sequel to the children's book the first film was based on, while To the Rescue was a totally original story. Props for actually acknowledging what the sequels did well and constructively criticizing them because I see a lot of people write them off as heartless direct to video fodder that should not be so much as considered canon to the first film. I do wish they got Jerry Rees' blessing to make them though, that was kind of shitty that they basically just made them without consulting him at all. If he was involved I think both sequels could have struck a tone much closer to the first movie. All I would personally add would be giving Wittgenstein a mention in the TTR section. He's definitely the standout character in that film for me, and he has a small but satisfying cameo scene in Goes to Mars too. He may be the single strongest reason I cannot find it in me to hate the sequels. Like he was such a big hyperfixation for me as a kid that I drew him in an art project in elementary school that ended up being printed on a T-shirt that I still own. It was an INCREDIBLY shitty drawing but it is a time capsule to my childhood. I made TBLT related drawings and crafts a lot as a kid, I recently went back to my mom's old house that's been sitting vacant full of old stuff, and I found a colored drawing of Toaster cut out and taped to the wall, a drawing with a bunch of appliances from the movies, a paper with Toaster and Radio on one side and Lampy and Blanky on the other, and a drawing of a group of characters (mostly unrelated OCs) that included Toaster and Wittgenstein. It's kind of an interesting parallel to the first film, that all those drawings of the characters sort of ended up in the same scenario as the gang did at the beginning of that film, left behind in an empty house for years. There are probably still more drawings in there I didn't find too. I always wanted there to be more Toaster movies as a kid and I still wish we had more adventures with these characters, they are close to my heart.
HOLY SH*T THERE'S MORE THAN ONE- I grew up OBSESSED with this movie and never heard about the sequels here in the states! I'm interested to hear about and see how you break these all down!
Just gonna say this before I start: The first Brave Little Toaster is an underrated masterpiece. I have a TON of nostalgia watching it on DVD as a kid. It's a solid 9/10 for me. Oh, and I want Disney to put this on Disney+ and every other streaming service. We already have the two direct-to-video sequels, so why not the original?
Yeah that's very odd but I think it has to do with rights. The sequels were made by different people than the original, so the copyright is probably different for them. At one point another company bought the rights to the first film because they were planning a remake, but that ended up being cancelled (thank god, because I saw the concept art and they modernized the characters to the point they are unrecognizable) I have no idea the sure answer but that's my theory.
Because the original is good because it wasn’t made by Disney, it was done by Hyperion and Kushner Locke and now the film’s rights are in Waterman’s hands
A:"wait, there's three of these movies? B:"have you ever seen fluppy dogs? C:"so basically, if you wanna see a lovable Christmas ornament, then just beauty and the beast enchanted Christmas?
I like the first movie is because I like that the group of friends try to find they owner and go to a fun adventure. I do like radio being my favorite character and I do like the characters, story , animation and song.
Long before Toy Story there was This I really do miss this show it really is thanks to shows like this and Toy Story really helps people treasure their memories with nostalgia in case of this being still useful appliances and well heartwarming memories with Toys (btw i did see the sequels on video way back when too)
I don’t care what people say about the brave little toaster goes to Mars I like that movie it’s find the characters are memorable and some of the ideas are actually kind of clever
Next time you'll check out the toy warrior(an obscure movie from c.n. where a kid became buzz lightyear copy, and a Transformer police car voiced by shadow the hedgehog)!? It's worthy.
Iv heard about these movies and seen a little bit of em (mostly the cover of the first the last one probably at blockbuster 😅lol)but never truly got to probably grow up with these movies tho i the animations for them is nice and i like the designs.^^
What's your favorite Brave Little Toaster song? Any of them, even the sequels! Mine is a tie between B-Movie and Worthless from the first film. Sad and scary, yet they are strong enough to really make us think about our actions to others and our surroundings.
My favs are TBLT goes to mars & the 1st movie which i really love, i hope to see a good reboot of the franchise bc i would love to see how they adapt TBLT in the modern age, and see what characters they introduce to the cast I hope a Smartphone...
@@DaveysWonderfulWorld Yeah, it's still decent I'd say. I guess I can't really judge either way because Nostalgia factors in that much if that makes sense?
at least we can rest easy knowing that the Brave Little Toaster beat Elon Musk and actually made it to Mars
Lol
I am so glad someone talked about the sequels!! Every time I brought them up everyone acted like they didn’t exist!!
Kirby. was actually voiced by thurl Ravenscroft who was the voice of Tony, the Tiger for decades from the 1950s to his death

The Orginal and Goes to Mars was based on books but to the Rescue is an orginal idea

If there’s no air in space, how did a bloody ceiling fan make it to Mars?

I used to watch the first movie everyday, and I never got tired of it. Just hearing those songs brings back so many memories.
I love how Ratso teams up with Radio 8:40
I’ve only started watching ur vids recently and honestly outta all the review channels ur one of my favorites
The characters in these movies look like pajama Sam characters
Kirby is my favorite character of these films just because Thurl Ravenscroft does such an awesome performance in each of the films

It always makes me a bit sad when a franchise gets worse and worse as it goes on like that (or... least good in that case).
So much nostalgia 😁
YES!! YOU FINALLY DID IT!! 😄
man when was the last time I saw this movie? it feels like I've not seen it since the 90's when I was 4 or 5 years old,wow

Sometime you should do a review on the 2023 adult talking dog movie Strays
I didn't know there were 3 movies in total. I watched first movie long, LONG time ago and it was only once or twice.
Iv heard about these movies and seen a little bit of em (mostly the cover of the first the last one probably at blockbuster 😅lol)but never truly got to probably grow up with these movies tho i the animations for them is nice and i like the designs.^^
Just watched the first movie last saturday & it was great
What's your favorite Brave Little Toaster song? Any of them, even the sequels!
Mine is a tie between B-Movie and Worthless from the first film. Sad and scary, yet they are strong enough to really make us think about our actions to others and our surroundings.
Yeah this is pretty much the general ranking, also should’ve mentioned Goes to Mars was originally a book too
In the second brave Little toaster movie, they made a fat guy the villain
My favs are TBLT goes to mars & the 1st movie which i really love, i hope to see a good reboot of the franchise bc i would love to see how they adapt TBLT in the modern age, and see what characters they introduce to the cast

Funny, that "Goes to Mars" is a Book.
I love these movies
I say I like them all
My favorite character is the snake
The one from 1987 is more darker and better
The first movie was brilliant, the second was kinda good but more of an ad for the internet, then the third was an ad for politics
Next do a top political moments on mars!!!!! 4. Brave little toaster 3. Futurama 2.mars needs moms 1. Adventure time
11:24 -11:28 Imagine that voice line coming from a sympathetic and very persuasive villain.
Well, that’s is the voice of Tony, the Tiger, thurl Ravenscroft one of the deep voices I’ve heard in my life
That is a very deep voice provided by the great thurl Ravenscroft the voice of Tony, the Tiger
@@Nick-ty9us I know, I was just saying his voice would make a perfect villains voice like Megabytes in ReBoot
@@datprawn4850
He was also Tony, the Tiger, for Kellogg’s for decades
Wait, so you're telling me there are more than ONE!?
Can you check your patron?
It's not very good, but Mars was my favorite since it was my first. I didn't see the original until MUCH later in life lol
Well I thought the brave Little toaster goes to Mars was actually pretty good
@@DaveysWonderfulWorld Yeah, it's still decent I'd say. I guess I can't really judge either way because Nostalgia factors in that much if that makes sense?

the original is ten times better then to the rescue and goes to mars (movie).

Read your statement. What the hell you produce. Honestly. You produce music huh

Wait, so you're telling me there are more than ONE!?
