The most impressive thing about this window is how they haven't made any signings that I think is bad signing, really. It is a pity we didn't get another striker but it sounds like Hirst might be back sooner than first thought. A front 4 of Delap/Hirst, Clark, Szmodics and Omari is going to be a serious threat to most teams and Chaplin, Broadhead and Burns are pretty good backups or subs. I honestly believe the majority of people saying Town are going straight back down have no clue just how good McKenna is at attacking football. I think we'll be fine.
Your opening sentence sums it up really well. None of the signings have (to the best of my knowledge) resulted in fans wondering why Town signed that donkey/psychopath/has-been. Considering the number of signings I'd be surprised if they all worked out but we shall see. New arrivals start with a clean slate; for example Szmodics may have been scoring regularly for Blackburn last season but that's no longer relevant. It's what he does as an Ipswich player that counts. Newly-promoted teams tend to struggle in their initial season in the PL, and it probably takes a couple of seasons to become an established PL team.
@@geoffpoole483 if Town can stay up *and* keep McKenna I believe we have a good chance of establishing ourselves as a solid, upper midtable prem team. It won't be easy and the first two seasons are the hardest.
Not sure of ogbene I was at the Fulham game and he didn't attempt a one on one against his fullback which is surprising given his speed,he was neat and tidy in possession but if he doesn't take defenders on I don't really see him staying in the side, hopefully it will come in time.greaves will be wanted by alot of top prem sides soon ,big wins headers good passing ,blocks shots ,threat from corners ,quick .40 to 50 mill by the end of the season
I am happy with the players we have bought in ! Come on the town !
So am I!

Thanks ☮ for calling centre backs and not centre halfs ,
I think we had some good signings obviously but still thinking about needing a striker. Going to miss Ladapo 😢

I feel like Ogbene will grow in confidence, as debuts go I’d argue he looked strong without taking too many risks. Agree about greaves!
Great transfer window 🪟 for the tractors 🚜, which will help us survive our first season back in the premiership for 22 odd years. C.O.Y.B 💙🤍❤🖤🌊🚜⚽️🔥
Fingers crossed! 🤞
