For everyone wondering why red and orange were the most dangerous it was explained pretty well in the books. Having a fire power made you go crazy slowly and your power is unstable. Orange because they can control minds. Blue was fine because they were harmless without training. Yellow had to have contact with the whatever they were trying to do. And green was harmless because they were just smart and did not have the power to break out
Well I say yellow is pretty dangerous if you had a coin you could be a human railgun

-Yeah he is a blue, almost safe child, no possible threats at all, only the children that can manipulate you when they touch you are dangerous and not the ones that can throw you like a ball all around FROM A DISTANCE.
That is only with practice
@@bhargavchoudam4545 Yeah which you can definately do since you are "safe" and all. Even if for some reason there is not enough room to practice something big as a tree, you still practice with lighter objects like tables etc as shown in the movie. For sure at some point you will be able to make a human fly even if you are not at the huge tree weight level yet.
For some reason though it is safe to have someone and to be exact thousands of children and teenagers having this long range super power and at the same time not safe having only 1 or 2 (because of how rare it is) children with mind control of medium to no range at all.
@@athanasiosp. True you do have a point
@@bhargavchoudam4545 The same goes for the electric type as well. The electricity they conduct is too much to be considered safe, especially in the numbers of children we have seen that have this power. At least I think a couple of human size regular flamethrowers and mind controllers by touch cannot be more dangerous than thousands of telekinetics and human size pikachus.
If we were talking about 1v1 battles with everyone having their ability practiced to the max then maybe the mind controller in a good range wins and becomes dangerous but we are talking about soldiers with fucking weapons that one-shot and will never come so close to you. The funny thing is that even in the 1v1 the flamethrower still sucks. A fast telekinetic push or fucking light speed electricity would always win some weak slow ass flame. And we talked about 1v1. Imagine on one hand 5 flamethrowers and mind controllers against the army and on the other hand thousands of electric and telekinetic powers against the same army. I think it is clear what is not safe anymore.
The movie even showed it. At some point some kids rebelled and literally escaped the confinement even if they were not trained to the max, like what do you do for so many and so powerful individuals compared to some guys who could have regular flamethrowers and there would be no differenece in power?
😂😂😂
"Person with mind-control powers is secretly the villain" seems like a fairly obvious twist. What I think is more important is how do we know Ruby will NOT be a villain herself? Still wondering how fire ball jutsu and telekenisis are on different levels of danger
Ikr???
Considering someone with telekinesis could easily do the same as the pyrokinesis is silly.. If anything pyrokinesis is more limited since they can only do that one thing which is jut excite atoms where as telekinesis has FULL control over everything. They can lift, crush, create heat, pull heat away freezing things and flat out altering someone's mind by altering it completely.
Hell telekinesis more orange than mind control which is really limited who can't even physically alter the world around them.
@jaype stanley Maybe yes, maybe no. The more knowledge you have the easier it would come and it would just be less instinctual, but even just running on what you can do naturally would require practice to do it well.
Honestly. In my opinion, telekensis is the second most dangerous if we go by how it's presented by the film. Afterwards, it would be electricity and then fire. Nevertheless, if we go by more traditional presentations of telekensis and it's full potential, it is most likely on a similar level as mind manipulation, since a telekenetic can make you explode in one second depending on their power capacity. Either way, the rankings were always weird to me.
@jaype stanley The ranking was somewhat of a big thing, so I feel it would have made more sense to explain it a bit, even if it seems insignificant. Many people just don't understand how this could be and, even as I was watching the film, I was a bit distracted from this part.
Maybe it is based on the impact and danger of power when untrained? Overall, there probably was something else that was just left out, so ig you're probably right.
Wait so the government KNOWS that there are kids who can control the minds of others yet they STILL leave the single kid unattended and unsupervised with the single doctor in a closed off room? I mean even with the fact that the kid is the one pulling the puppet strings, not a single person was like "you know? Maybe we shouldn't leave the kid with the potential of controlling other people's minds alone and unsupervised in the same room as the doctor that's in charge of seeing if she's dangerous?"
I picked up this book when it came out not really expecting much and I was blown away! I was so stressed just reading through it~ Haven't watched the film yet because I don't wanna be disappointed but let's see how his goes....

@@ladies_man2176 It was the safest choice. She would have to erase the entire league's memory (assuming the league is bigger than Dr Cate and her boyfriend) in order to ensure their survival. In her position I would assume that at a first sign of trouble the league would try to kill them on sight.

The amount of insanely good movies that I have found through your chanells is insane. Thank you!
I watched this movie but forgot the name when I wanted to watch it again thank you so much for this
I feel like I just watched a whole movie and is nobody talking that Zu is so cute😂
Ikr
I watched the first one, it was so good and 3 years on I’m still waiting for the second one since it ended on a cliff hanger. Is there going to be a second one or what??
It doesn't seem like it will happen, but it's based on a trilogy by Alexandra Bracken! Same title btw
The movie flopped so, no.
I heard its still happening, likely 2022 or 2023 though
it's based on a book so maybe you should check it out instead?
I wonder if they are still going to use the same actors. Hope they make the next movie before the actors are not kids anymore
no point hiding a frequency on a analogue radio signal when pretty much every cheap AM/FM radio has a scan setting and just twiddling the knob around would eventually find it. Digital can be encrypted more effectively.

“Then The fire nation attacked”
I know that it didn't perform that well at the box office but I was intrigued enough to want more, especially since I don't intend to read the books. I just want to see how the story ends, or at least the big show down between Ruby and Clancy.
I remember watching this and telling people about that
However I forgot the name until I watched this
Thx
Omg tysm this is the movie I’ve been wanting to watch for so long but can’t tyyy! Subbed!
I love you recapman! The hero we didn't ask for but truly needed.
Damn, for a good character, Ruby uses her powers quite unethically on those who she doesn't really agree with. I can understand why the government doesn't like orange kids.
Honestly as usual the books were better.
The Darkest Minds trilogy
Thanks for the info
Thanks
@@jamilleyomtown no problem 😊.
"Check the first 10 seconds of the video" was the best movie that you recapped ngl
Man, i love the book series of this. It was so good, I'm sad I didn't have all of them at my library. I'm glad there's a movie of it. (The book series is The Darkest Minds, In The Afterlight, uhhh, Never Fade, and the Darkest Legacy.)
Thank you for the book titles! I'm going to give them a read 🤩

Say league one more time i swear to god
-Boy genius deduces Ruby as an Orange immediately
-fails to correspond 3 coded letters with their numerical counterparts until he's exhausted all other options
i would feel so bad if a sheltered person from a differnt country saw this like right before they were told they're moving here
I wish I had the super power of forgetting the 2 hours I wasted watching this movie lol. Seriously, recapped was better then the actual movie.
I’ve been searching for this movie for years after watching it in the Cinema’s with my friends! The title made me hope that it would be this movie and it was!! Thank you for helping me find this film.
This movie needed and still needs a sequel.
you do a great job telling these stories. In 12 minutes I feel I watched the 2 hour movie. Its all very clear and very understandable. I'm impressed. Will watch more.

I don't know if they are going to make a second movie or not, but I hope they touch more on Zu's muteness in it if they do because trauma is not why Zu is mute in the book. She decided that until children had a voice that adults would actually listen to and until they had peace, she was not going to speak.
(spoiler ahead)
But she later takes it back and decides to be the voice that the government had taken away and does an interview that is broadcasted everywhere, speaking for the first time in many years.
It's Rue!! I'm so glad to see her in other movies, she was so good in Hunger Games.
id say that (depending on the extent of it all ofc) telekinesis is more dangerous than pyrokinesis, and that electrokinesis is on par with it
and depending on how much smarter they can get, increased inteligence could also very well be more powerful
id say that all of them have the ability to be more powerful than eachother, though telekinesis and mind control would likely be the top two,
I remember seeing the trailer for this movie back when it was coming out. IIRC for some reason the gave the trailers a much darker tone than it really seems the story fits.
is there a part2 of this because this is a great movie and there's a lot of twist here pretty great.
no, part 2 most likely will never come out, but you can read the books
This is so fascinating. I really want to watch the whole movie and I love these type of movies.
If you want there's a book series the movie are based off
I recommend reading the books first. The movie is a OK level movie. Its the classical broken goverment and superhero kids fighting goverment type of thing you see in every second movie like Hunger Games, The maze runner, etc. but its a good movie if you are able to ignore some of the stuff.
I am now addicted to this channel
😀 Thanks !!
I loved this movie, I recommend y'all to watch it for a more wholesome experience
i cried at the end of this movie. i wanted them to be together so badly and when he left i burst into tears :D
But why didn’t ruby just erase liams memories of the the club thingy tho…
Jokes aside, this was one of the best movies I ever seen. The plot was great and the actors too
3:04 lol this poor guy gets beaten a lot
