If anyone didnt get the part when jackson was strangling piper and telling a story I will tell you the most important parts. Elisabeths mum was with mr smith but was having an affair with jackson. She discovered what he does and she threatened to tell mr smith (because he is a police officer) but jackson found out and ordered piper to kill elisabeths mum so piper killed elisabeths mum but is she was oblivious to who she was at the time since she possibly didnt know Elisabeth or her family at the time so she just thought she was killing a random person. If she knew Elisabeth and her family she probably wouldn't of killed her mum. Just to clarify (this was pointed out by duimelotje) I am not talking about lucy (Tony's mum and elisabeths step-mum) I am talking about elisabeths biological mum.
