      There's been a bug with Azandar's Favor achievement going on since Nov of last year where, for those who are affected, they can never get credit for interacting with an Ayelid Well. This has prevented completion of the companion achievement which is sad. Really bummed that the fix isn't mentioned in the patch notes

    Sorc is a really cool class, I just don't like to play with all the pets. Buffing no pet playstyle sounds appealing to me. I hope you will provide us with no pet sorc builds in the future. If they are viable, of course.

      It would be nice if their pets just didn't die so easily like necros or NB or if it didn't take so long to summon your pet in general. Also would be nice if you could just 1 bar the pets like necro or NB so that you don't have to suck up do much bar space. Simple solutions but I guess ZoS likes to not address them

      I run sorc almost exclusively and this update sounds so nice. Right out of the gate my stamsorc/bow will become much more useful without a pet. A worthwhile healing sorc also sounds like it's in the cards now.

      @@showaker4755 the reason why I don't run pets on sorcs is because they randomly aggro and they can die easily killing your DPS when you have to revive them especially in pvp. I wish they would give your pets a health bar so you can see when they need healing otherwise that burst heal is not really a burst heal if it dies right before you need it or it dies and you have to spend that extra time to resummon it.
      They could also easily just make pets unkillable like necro pets or the NB shade or big Jeff. That might not be the best solution but it would solve a lot of issues with sorc pets. However a strong burst heal is going to be amazing for pvp because pets in pvp die so quickly that it's highly unfavorable to run them in pvp. This will definitely bring back the mag sorc finally after 3 long years

      Make new fun build / mythic / class / let people enjoy - allow elite to complain - nerf it to hell and back - make new mythic / class /

If a class is too accessible to the everyday player it is seen as exploitable to the elite players and is immediately nerfed once the next dlc/expansion sells enough. It's the main reason I never get to attached to one class or build.

      For PVP the stalking Blastbones was the best Necro skill in my opinion. This a bad change for most of my Necro PVP builds.

      @@robertrjacksonYeah, my main pvper is a Stamcro. It is rough, and this sets me back even more. It could be sick if it buffs DOT, and you use cheese Masters and Vate staff though

    Couldn't they just make it where blighted blastbones cost is dependent on what resource is higher? I mean Arcanist does that... why not other abilities from other classes?

    Ugg. I use a Stam necro 2 hand weapon user, and needed the stalking blastbone to be arcane to reduce the draw on my stamina pool, which is already pretty high. Guess I'll have to find something else to use now. I'll have to see if this damage buff on dots for my 2H abilities is enough to make up for the damage loss. May have to start looking for another burst damage ability.

      I haven't been playing too long couple months but I don't get how gamers don't understand their money pays the devs bills, they do or don't do something use your consumer buying power. Don't just say aww shucks, that's stinks. No, you get everyone together and if they don't do something by a deadline, everyone cancels ESO+. Watch how fast shit changes.

    Ever since they nerfed Templar I’ve been playing necromancer but now there taking away his whole damage ability and replacing it for shitty buffs I’m so done with this stupid game I can’t even get the enjoyment out of anything without them shitting on things that have no business being stomped on buffing night blade and dragon night? Wuuuuuut aren’t they like the best classes

      Nightblade didnt get buffed. Lost 10% damage of the Incap on all skills with it now only influencing concealed weapon.
      They got nerfed.

      Its pretty hefty considering in most rankings for pve it ranks below mag sorcerer and mag nightblade. Pvp though it was probably needed

    Zos always starts off with some great ideas then they fo something really, really dumb.
    The change the stalking blastbones was bad. Blastbones is one of the necros bread and butter for both damage and corpes creation. They completely changed the functionality to give necros(finally) a damage buff skill like everyone eles.
    However there is a far better skill rework for this that also goes thematically with the recro class that we seen in the story all the time.
    Necrotic Potency
    Target: Area
    Duration: 4 seconds
    Skill description
    Embrace the power of collected souls to bolster your dark arts. For each soul absorbed, increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 50. Sapping the lingering life from fresh corpses, grants you 6 Ultimate while healing 682 Health every 1 second for 4 seconds per additional corpse.
    This ability scales off your Max Health. While slotted, your damage taken is reduced by 3%.
    Change Notes:
    Embrace the power of collected souls to bolster your dark arts. For each soul absorbed, increase your Weapon and Spell Damage by 50. The duration of this buff stacks dynamically with each additional soul collected, extending its remaining time to empower your necromantic abilities.
    **Explanation**:
    The revamped Necrotic Potency skill introduces a dynamic and engaging mechanic that aligns with the thematic essence of the Necromancer class. By harnessing the power of collected souls, the Necromancer gains a tangible boost to their damage potential, promoting strategic and immersive gameplay.
    This change addresses the need for the Necromancer class to have a damage-buffing skill, bringing it up to par with other classes in the game. The dynamic stacking of the buff's duration encourages players to actively collect souls, fostering a sense of mastery and rewarding skilled play. Additionally, the increase in Weapon and Spell Damage per collected soul provides a meaningful and impactful boost to the Necromancer's abilities, enhancing their role in combat scenarios.
    Overall, the revised Necrotic Potency skill not only enriches the gameplay experience for Necromancer players but also contributes to a more balanced and engaging class dynamic within the game.

      Templar is getting passively nerfed. My thought prosess:
      Burning was decreased -> DKs got their passives buffed to counter that, totally fine. What about Vampire's Bane or Reflective Light from Templar? A pretty solid part of this skill's damage came from a guaranteed burning, which reapplied rather consistantly. No changes to that skill.
      Also I have to mention, that this skill deals MAGIC damage itself, and allmost ALL of templar's toolkit does so. MagPlar specifically. What do we have there for Status Effect changes? All the effects have roughly the same initial power now, but most of them now have cool new features. All EXEPT magic damage. Magica steal is not that good by itself, and 64 mag per activation is like a joke in the face.
      Major Defile was nerfed, so now Dark Flare in PvP will do less harm with its debuff. Yes, it will double hurt shield oriented builds, but shields are on 2 classes(Sorks and Arcanists) and all the others are stronger against this new nerfed Defile. (Same goes with the stamina morph of skeleton from necromancer, by the way)
      And as a cherry on the top, you now can't use Tormentor with Explosive Charge anymore to mass taunt. Why? I don't know. There is still Beckoning Armor, there is still Swarm Mother, that both do taunt all the pulled targets.
      Your thoughts?

    Ty Hack, as usual well done. After processing this for a day, i hope these changes and scribing dont get nerfed to uselessness. From what it sounds from a tank and healing perspective its refreshing because it might reduce the concept of forcing to use certain skills to get certain buffs/debuffs. Heck even the concept of having only 1 flex class spot might go out the window as well. Lastly the support dps concept might not be needed. Lots of upside and cautiously hopeful. Ty again Hack

    i hadn't seen or heard of this update but then was surprised today when my stalking blastbones were targeting me instead of an enemy lol. thankfully i was able to keep my rotation by swapping the morph

    You didn't get to the sets, and I have a trouble understanding what they mean by fixing line of sight issue. Will, say, azurblight or ice furnace not proc anymore from enemies not in my crosshairs?

      It’s referring to any physical object between you and the enemy that “breaks line of sight”. So rocks, pillars, some small objects, ect..
      They will work the same on enemies right next to you but not in your crosshairs.

    At first that blastbones rework felt like a slap in the nurts for anyone (like me) who saw their necro as an undead summoner. Such a defining skill. But they only reworked the magicka morph. Phew!

    the status effect changes are gonna be very helpful in infinite archive on serpent's disdain builds (which is most atm lol) but that change to stalking blastbones is stupid imo, theyre one of the lower end of damage dealers and they nerf them yet the dragonknights are one of the top end but they get a buff??? i agree the extra dmg from the running duration was pointless unless u were permanently at range which doesnt happen for soloers but theyre basically forcing magicka necros to use a stamina skill if they wanna keep that blastbones playstyle

    I actually like the bb change i can have skely archer as a frint bar ability now and not have to spam a button with a summon that will be here after ive already killed the enemy most cases

    I swear if this Blastbone change goes through i'm cancelling my subscription to ESO. NOT ONLY necro is the weakest PVP class and I sweat bullets every battleground to win with it, now they take away the only burst damage we have? They STILL after years not give Necro Major Prophecy and Sorcery?!! After buffing the strongest pvp class 10 times in a row you start to think oh maybe this time they give us Major Sorcery+Prophecy but no let's buff nightblade 11th time xD I'm a necro main. even though i have a stamblade and get easy 30 kills each battleground I don't like the playstyle of it and don't wanna play it. God... whoever designed these patch-notes should be fired from Zenimax immediately.
    EDIT: I see some people claiming a spell damage buff "isn't that bad". DUDE WE HAVE NO SKILL TO DELIVER THAT DAMAGE.

    Hey hack I used to no life ESO but I haven't played in a really long time, I'm changing to ps5 to join my friends (they've been really busy the past few years so I been on pc) but since I haven't played in so long I was wondering, what would be a better healer a Necro (what I have on pc and enjoy) or a arcanist (which I believe is the newest class which when I saw it recently it looked kinda fun)

    One thing im curious about is does the new blast bones buff double dip for abilities that are grave lord and DOT?

      double dip? it's an unique effect, so it should stack on top of whatever boosts grave lord (is there anything?) and anything increasing DOTs. Though overall, I really don't see the point in it. Flame Skull is kinda clunky (imo), Boneyard isn't special without harmony, the siphon ability is just weird at times because you are basically stuck staying around the tether. And the skeletal summon isn't that great in PvP but hey it boosts the colossus ultimate

    I have a Dual Wield/Bow Necromancer that uses exclusive poison attacks and I use Velidreth monster helm. Its a fun build.. this update might make it even more fun!

    This combat team is why this game will never be as popular as it deserves. Great Setting, amazing zones, fun quests, but a combat system that has felt like a decade long beta test. Absolute fucking clowns running the show with combat design.

      The one to blame the most is the current game director (dont remember his name)
      He said the vanilla skills were good and they dont plan on touching them at all lol

      Templar is getting passively nerfed. My sought prosess:
      Burning was decreased -> DKs got their passives buffed to counter that, totally fine. What about Vampire's Bane or Reflective Light from Templar? A pretty solid part of this skill's damage came from a guaranteed burning, which reapplied rather consistantly. No changes to that skill.
      Also I have to mention, that this skill deals MAGIC damage itself, and allmost ALL of templar's toolkit does so. MagPlar specifically. What do we have there for Status Effect changes? All the effects have roughly the same initial power now, but most of them now have cool new features. All EXEPT magic damage. Magica steal is not that good by itself, and 64 mag per activation is like a joke in the face.
      Major Defile was nerfed, so now Dark Flare in PvP will do less harm with its debuff. Yes, it will double hurt shield oriented builds, but shields are on 2 classes(Sorks and Arcanists) and all the others are stronger against this new nerfed Defile. (Same goes with the stamina morph of skeleton from necromancer, by the way)
      And as a cherry on the top, you now can't use Tormentor with Explosive Charge anymore to mass taunt. Why? I don't know. There is still Beckoning Armor, there is still Swarm Mother, that both do taunt all the pulled targets.
      Your thoughts?

    in PTS, concealed weapon skill buffed just skill itsself rather than major berserk overall 10% damage bonus.

      if they didn't nerf the chilled bonus specific to wardens, wardens would be proccing like 15k chilled ticks. it makes sense, and if I'm correct, it still works out as a buff.

    Zos needs to seriously revamp the Necromancer class. Get rid of blast bones it doesn’t even work the majority of the time in PvE or PvP. Buff the skeletal archer and mage and make them permanently summonable. Also, allow us to actually have a flesh Atronach to summon as an ultimate to follow us around like the Warden’s bear. We can get major vulnerability in a number of other ways and we also don’t need a bullshit bomber Necromancer in PvP anymore. Make these changes and make Necromancers feel like Necromancers!!!!!

      Put sorcery and brutality on skeletal mage and it’s morphs. Revert blastbones. Get rid of the defile on the heal then change the 8% healing profit so it summons a zombie that does like 1k damage when a corpse expires or something else with pets

    I've been away since the launch of Elswyr and just coming back.so 5 years? I was wondering if your One bar god magicka Necro video/build was still viable as of now in March 2024? I know lots has changed in my absence nd that vudeo seems to fir my gear (different sets, but similar'ish) and my playstyle the most. I have a Breton vanmpire Necro if that helps at all. I coildnt find anything for 2024 for a magic/necro/vampire on YT. Hoping yoir build is fine for me, a solo player. Being gone so long, I only a 295 champion rank bit have 5 star CP 160 gear and lightning staff.

    If they stopped changing the classes each patch and added armour sets that did it instead I feel like things would get better. I know the game already has a bunch of different armour sets, but the most unique thing about eso has to be how you can combine different gear sets and certain passives to create powerful characters.
    So it stands to reason that more armour sets should be included in the game instead of constant changes for the classes and other skill lines. The endless archive kinda got it right with class specific sets, but they should take it another step further where class specific sets should go up to 3 pieces and the third bonus can act like a third morph to skills that everyone uses. Tooltips can get pretty huge so giving both morphs of a skill their own affects on these sets would still work fine, but the point for these kind of changes would be to help give players specialisation options for their builds.

    The buffs to necro doesn't fix the any of the major issues that necro has which are access to certain major and minor buffs that all other classes have, the buff duration of skills which results in you becoming just a buffing machine instead of anything else (can easily be fixed by just extending buff times to the normal duration that other classes have), lack of consolidation of skills resulting in too many skills to properly buff and do damage that you just don't have enough bar space, and the damage ceiling which is significantly lower than other classes. These 4 issues have been echoing in the forums for almost 2 yrs now and STILL ZoS chooses to ignore the community.
    Also now that sales for necrom have significantly dropped, it's obvious that they will nerf the class. Classic ZoS move 🤦🏻‍♂️ It really makes you feel like you throw your money away each time just like how necro used to be the pay to win class and now it's the pay to lose class after the initial hype is gone. These bad business practices needs to be addressed at some point.

    As a Necro main I think this is a step in the right direction for PvE however It needs WAY more love for its PvP counterpart. I also think the class overall needs a source of major Brutality and Sorcery.

      That's my biggest issue with Cro, I absolutely love stamcro but they've hung them out to dry. They need a class source of major brutality/sorcery and a class stun. At least let the skeletal mage give the brutality/sorcery buff as long as it's active, make it worthwhile to run in PvP and not have to use an outside source for the buff. Cro is pretty much relegated to bomber in PvP at this point and that makes sad

      Have you tested it out on PTS? Because I have, and it is absolutely horrendous, results in a massive damage loss for the cro and actually makes it more complicated since now you have to micro-manage corpses a loooot more, where previously it just came with everything you were doing

      The reason why they nerfed blastbones because people complained about a rotation revolving around blastbones every 3 seconds.
      If you can't use 1 skull every 3 seconds go play another class.
      If they nerf stalking blastbones pve is going to suck

    Have sorcs lost the minor magicka and stam regen off their shield morph? In return for a bit of healing? Does the heal actually give enough magicka back, can anyone on pts confirm? Surely you're using magicka to cast the shield so its just refunding what you used? Was hoping for an on-demand heal option but dont want to lose the regen buffs

    I already made a similar comment on another channel's video on it but just gonna spread it out. (because why not)
    I don't think the changes to Blastbones is going to change anything about the class and its problems.
    but hey that's just me. I really think the class itself needs an overhaul...especially the Grave Lord Skill line.
    In short, I think the Blastbones should just work like the Warden's Scorch ability. You summon spikes made out of bones from the ground. It will still create a corpse when finished. The magic morph could have an execute on it, while the Blighted Blastbones still does the disease and major defile on the enemy. No more clunky targeting, just positioning yourself to deal damage. Avid Boneyard is kinda pointless with the harmony changes in the past. Like why activate your own synergy without Harmony? So let's make it "Chilling Boneyard" and make it deal increase damage and its radius.
    Change the way Shocking Siphon works and rename it (Grave Lord's Cloak sounds good to me) and it should act like a normal cast ability. It summons an AOE effect around that deals shock damage and having it slotted gives you major prophecy and savagery. Consuming a corpse increase your damage done by 3% for the duration of the effect.
    It's morphs would work similar to how they do now. Detonating Siphon could be "Reaper's Cloak" or something like that. It deals disease damage and once the effect ends you explode dealing more disease damage around you. Mystic Siphon is just Mystic Cloak and does the same thing increasing your recovery by 200.
    Now for passives. Reusable Parts will probably need a rework. I think making it where when you consume a corpse your weapon and spell damage is increased by 200 for 10 seconds. While Death Gleaning just removes the need for a skill to be slotted; just a little help for the Necromancer Werewolves out there in Tamriel.
    I think these changes would greatly improve the combat ability of the necromancer and actually put it up there with the other classes while giving it a theme of using corpses to increase it's power and using them for their own means like a Necromancer would.

      Its a stam morph of veiled strike called suprise attack which resides inside the shadow line class skill NB its mag morph concealed if vastly superior i vouch for that😂

    Hi Hack & everyone, I just wanted to put out a major problem I've had with my 'Ice Warden' build. This issue involves the passive ability of 'Piercing Cold', that ESO dev's changed many years ago. So, the following reads as:
    Warden : Skills : Winter's Embrace : Passive Abilities : Piercing Cold II : Increase your damage done by 2%, which increases to 12% when wielding an Ice Staff.
    This passive Ability STILL only gives the 2% buff, EVEN when it is at level 2, WITH an Ice Staff held.
    In my Advance Stats the Damage Done is shown as 2%, with an Ice Staff equipped, & NOT 12%
    THIS ABILITY IS SO BROKEN, that the Advanced Stats on my Lightning Staff shows ALL my Damage Done at 14%, which it is not, nor should it be. Is this just me, or does this effect others players too?
    This has been the case since the ability was FIRST changed form 10% Magic/Frost Damage, causing me to lose over 16% Damage Done across my whole Warden build. I have reported this issue for many years, & still the ESO team have FAILED to resolve this matter, & with NO signs of this being fixed in the next (Update 41) I'm almost at a lost, other than sending ESO a bug fix request EVERY month.
    Maybe if my personal tests & finding are confirmed by yourself, & many other player, we can ALL complain enough to ESO dev's, for them to finally fix this problem...JC69UK

    I have a feeling stamdk is gonna hit super hard this patch. Especially with the poison status effect being execute buff. DK in general has lacked a proper execute outside of weapon skill lines since launch. This goes along way to giving them more damage in execute phases without being forced into a weapon skill line execute...
    I hate using both the DW and 2h executes. They both require me to drop a dot which runs counter to my build...

      Next patch: Dk's where not doing one million damage per second, so we increased the damage done by corrosive by 10000 percent to help the dk's lack of damage.

    They increased damage on status effects, but reduced the reliability of proccing them, which has had the net result of not changing much at all. Currently appears to be less than a 1% change in DPS offered by status effects on builds that are based around them, and will be a loss for everyone else.
    ZOS never ceases to amaze with their braindead balance changes.

    Coming in to this I was 100% ready to see Templar kicked in the nuts again. I have a Stamplar main and I've redone him, gotten nerfed, redone him again, gotten nerfed, and redone him a third time, and gotten nerfed yet again. At this point I'm just holding my breath before redoing him again.

      Haven't changed a thing on mine since day one. Melts. I'm not chasing metas and still pull 70k dps. I do everything but meta and still can do 99% of the game. If chasing meta, then yes you will change every update just about. It's just not worth it really.

    So… been thinking.
    Grave Lord’s Sacrifice allows you to be considered a corpse for your next consumption ability.
    Shocking Siphon & Restoring Tether probably shouldn’t target you… but if they do then they’ll have to fix that because that’ll be wonky. Unless they change how those abilities work in the future. Personally, I want them to change because they decrease your mobility in fights in PvP so people don’t really use them.

      No, you and several people on the forums do not understnad at all what it is for. This change is to increase dps while you DO NOT have a pet. So giving health when you dont have a pet gives you absolutely no damage......... IDK why people keep thinking its backwards. The whole point of the change is to make the passive give somthing to pet users but to give MORE Damage to NON-Pet users. Giving non pet users more hp is worthless. What you are proposing would actually make the core issue even worse. Your suggested way would make pet users do EVEN more damage than the already lagging behind non-pet sorc...

    As a Necromancer main, I am severely disappointed with the blastbones change. They basically took away the summon for the magicka morph when they could have just let us maybe summon 2 or 3 skeletons that just straight up run up to attack the target with one ability. Such a wasted opportunity, would have pulled so many more people to the class 😓

    Templars still doing pathetic damage with jabs, necros still rock bottom of the classes, things are looking up
