Thank you so much guys. The Avocado analogy set off a million little light bulbs in my brain, just wonderful !
Thank you 🙏
I have been tapping into this technique off and on in the saddle over the last few years but kept resisting it because in the back of my mind I thought it was considered gripping with my legs, but your video discussion helped me to understand that its not gripping at all and a wider form of base of support in your seat, thank you!!!
Exactly!!! It doesn't have to be all or nothing. In fact, when you spread your weight out over your legs, it is crucial that the legs gently wrap around the horse and don't grip. Experiment with it and let us know how your horse responds!!!
I like this kind of video. Not too much content 😊
Thanks for that feedback!
I would love to see a video discussion on weighting your feet in the stirrups while riding, as its use in transitions, aiding and even in collection!
Okay, we can try to put that together for you in a future video!
@@ArtisticDressage Thank you! I look forward to viewing it!
It is really a long journey, if nobody can really explain what they are doing. Nobody told me the thing with the Core, so I‘ve always been too loose in my upper body. People told me I should just let hang my legs, so these where wobbely too 😢 Thank you for your picture of the pillow. I will try this. Maybe you both could tell me if and how the pelvic floor or something similar for men should be used. Again nobody speaks about that… 😅 thanks
I loved this discussion!! I'm always looking for mental visuals to help advance my riding/seat. I can't wait to try sinking lower into the horses back onto the wider base of the ribs for support. I have an excellent coach and my walk and trot are in good order but I lose touch with my stability whenever I'm working on canter.
I am so glad to hear you found some helpful tips. Let us know how it goes incorporating these ideas into your riding!
Danke
Our pleasure!
