slickjimmy I picked up the same one their awesome little generators especially for the money. but they do have a low engine oil cut off so you don’t cook the engine.
The low fuel shut off is actually a pretty good idea. ideally you want your generator to be running at 60 MHz at 110 to120 volts consistently. when your generator is running out of fuel it starts spitting and sputtering and cannot generate A consistent 60 MHz or voltage which can sometimes last for several minutes which is not good for sensitive electronics. The low fuel cut off allows to generator to shut down the power properly, which in turn protects the electronics that are plugged in.

It's quiet, has nice digital features: hour meter, voltage output, wattage load, fuel level, and how much run time based upon power loading and fuel level. It has a 98cc 3.4 hp Ducar engine that will idle down to around 3,100 +/- rpm and under high load up to 5,500 rpm. It provides quite a lot in it's price range. Definitely recommended!

@@soundproofguide - Any manufacturer can make a claim. Why not do a comparison of each product with a decibel reader, so that we could SEE the difference, since hearing wouldn't be accurate?
Thank you for this helpful product comparison! I agree with acoustics engineer Jerry Grimes that simply giving a decibel number is not quite as absolute or "unbiased" as one might imagine. It would have been additionally helpful to hear each machine running to get an idea of each sound character (pitch, harmonics, etc.) and determine its subjective effect on us. Would have been helpful to have clips of them running so we can hear them. Yes it’s good to know how many decibels, but the pitch of the noise is a big factor too so I still don’t know if I could tolerate any of them.

Harbor Freight sells a Predator 2000 watt (or 3,500 if you need more) generator for less than $500. You can often find it on sale. Aside from the Honda, all of them are basically the same
The two biggest design challenges I've ever faced were too noisy and too hot. Are any of these two or three cylinder four strokes? I imagine they are all four stroke engines and probably all single cylinder too
Without hearing them in person side-by-side you're not going to understand the difference. There's just too many variables for an audio comparison via a video. The microphone, the sound compression software of the microphone, the video/audio conversion program, the audio device you're using to listen to the video, and most importantly your own ears.

I have WEN after two Yamahas. WEN is much cheaper than leading brands, quiet as, durable than Yama, starts with one pull, very surprisingly satisfied. Don't waste money on others.
Hi, could you please tell me if I can use the Power Station to connect my Yamaha Psr-SX900 musical keyboard which power consumption is 25W?? I intend to go camping and I need a Power Station to plug my Yamaha keyboard to play outdoors for about 2 hours. Is it suitable for this task??
25 watts x 2 hours equals 50 watt hours. You could use a small battery and a small inverter to power that small of a load. Try it first though because most inverters are modified Square wave and might put a buzzing sound over the output. If so, you'll need what's called a pure sine wave inverter. I've seen small 300 watt ones.

It's not always about how quiet it is. My Honda "handi ultra quiet" generator is light weight, compact, easy to use. What they do is have a smaller engine, smaller alternator making it lightweight but have the engines rpms run faster making it a little louder than some but is pretty quiet if someone is gonna complain that it's not the quietest one they can just not complain about it lol
I don’t want a quiet generator..... I want a generator without problems with fuel, that lasts, able to start after years of storage, reliable, cheap, inexpensive, affordable and high quality
Apart from one reference to a price as budget-friendly ... and one or two other references to the generator being pricey ... There is NO INDICATION AS TO THE COST OF EACH UNIT ... There certainly must be a Suggested Manufacturer's Retail Price (SMRP) ... which would be MOST HELPFUL in making a final decision ... Of course, one might be able to find a sale or two ... but, I can handle that ... however, an SMRP would give me a place to begin !!!
I think I have them all; and I have learned , Buy what you can afford and remember It cost a little more to go 1st class , you just cant stay as long!!!

This might be a dumb question, - but with the technology of 2019 going on 2020, Im going to give it a shot and ask anyways hehehee.. What generator out there a person can run and use inside an apartment without the need of taking the generator outside due to fumes and noise or carbon monoxide. ?? Im curious if one actually does exist. thanks :)
You would have to put it in a sealed closet, that had access to outside air for intake and exhaust. And the cooling of the motor itself. So you could cram any generator in there you wanted to. Other than that, no.
Invest in a hand cranked generator, if it has an engine it produces carbon monoxide and will kill you unless it is 50 feet from where you live. You mentioned an apartment. Put it on the complex roof and drop a extension cord.
I know things change. But you're when compared to your Westinghouse? Like $200 more for the Westinghouse. Westinghouse has more watts usage which makes sense. Unless hearing your info in your vehicle wrong re-watching still research. Looking for a 2000 or 2500 watt generator. Best bang for your buck
This didn't feel like an apples to apples comparison generally speaking, and mentioning eco-mode as one pro of one particular generator when all of them have it is irrelevant.
The spl apps I have tried were sketchy and nowhere near as accurate as even a cheap dedicated meter. Probably because of the limitations of the phones tiny mic.

My WEN 56200i has a fuel gauge. And using a funnel to put oil in is a con?????? Good Lord if that's a con we are screwed lol. I get 17hours run time on 300 watts or less per tank. "Low fuel shutdown" ????? Yea it shuts off when you run out 🤣😂 Yes it is Honda quiet for under $400 and quality is very good. I was able to snag mine on woot "Amazon" for $380 during a sale.
Here is one. No low fuel shutdown. When your genset runs out of gas, often the mixture goes lean, and the engine speed rises before stalling. This may cause a voltage surge. Rough on tv's. My genset cuts the voltage to zero during engine overspeed. Some don't, I'd try any new genset by running it out of gas with a reg light bulb or voltmeter hooked up first just so I don't blow my six foot Sony by running out of gas!

Check out DuroMax. They make some excellent generators that are "Dual Fuel", meaning that they run off of LP or gasoline. I think they even have some that run off of 3 different fuel sources. Good luck.
You have to be careful when comparing generators for noise. Different companies rate their unit from different distances. For instance, Honda does their from 3 meters and most other does it from 9. I have seen 10 and 12 meters used also.
Mate, you need to compare apples with apples and not mix the feature that you are rating of the machines that you are comparing. If you mention for one, then need to mention it for the others whether better or worse, etc. Apart for the end summary this is just basically a list of manufacturer advertising blurb.

I m not too sure which want to choose, but I need one for my outdoor camping for lights, portable fans, laptop and charging my HPs too. I want one which is environmental friendly and least noise so as not to interrupt other campers... Thk you..
Harbor Freight sells a Predator 2000 watt (or 3,500 if you need more) generator for less than $500. You can often find it on sale. Aside from the Honda, all of them are basically the same
Get solar if you're serious.
Ver helpful thank yoo
Ryobi got one works as spected for low price happy
Do gas generators has more run time vs electric generators. I want to use electric tools like a jig saw and electric saw. ?
Would be nice if we could actually hear them, cos all the stats can be found on the web anyway
The two biggest design challenges I've ever faced were too noisy and too hot. Are any of these two or three cylinder four strokes? I imagine they are all four stroke engines and probably all single cylinder too
I want to listen them and compare them with some noisy ones.
Without hearing them in person side-by-side you're not going to understand the difference. There's just too many variables for an audio comparison via a video. The microphone, the sound compression software of the microphone, the video/audio conversion program, the audio device you're using to listen to the video, and most importantly your own ears.
Can any of these fully run a refrigerator if no other plugs are being used?
I can read product brochures also. But what I really want to know is which ones have a cast-iron cylinder bore, and which have overhead cams.
I like the Generac. It would be nice if you could post the cost of each one.thankyou
Great point about pricing. The reason why I don’t post the price is because they fluctuate and also it’s against Amazon’s terms of service to declare the prices on the videos or even in the description of the video. All the links are available in the description of the videos for all the generators and products I recommend through amazon.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks for leaving a comment. 🙂
Generac also makes home generators
Good video awesome
the Wen and Predator are identical and probably made in the same manufacturing plant I advise price check
Great observation, thanks for commenting!
I have the WEN 56200i and love it 😁
For the price it certainly is a great generator!
@@soundproofguide I'm very happy with the predator and considering buying another. The only issue so far is finding the spec aftermarket spark plugs
I apprpeciate these reviews. I am interested in a quiet LP-fueled generator -- about 3000 to 4000 W. Got any thoughts?
I think Champion makes a duel fuel in that size.
Great Info
Thank you
Glad you liked it!
I have WEN after two Yamahas. WEN is much cheaper than leading brands, quiet as, durable than Yama, starts with one pull, very surprisingly satisfied. Don't waste money on others.
Thank you for your feedback!
It certainly is! 🙂
You're going camping and taking an electronic keyboard with you? Ugh. That's not camping.
@@stephanieadams3747 Although I'm enjoying my camping life, I like to have my electronic tools for my extra pleasure. Is there anything wrong about that?? If I can enjoy both worlds at the same time, why not??
I want a quiet generator to power my 23 ft camper. .& ELECTRIC TOOLS. ALSO AT A FORTABLE PRICE plus stires to buy such a generator in Northern Ontario canada. Jerry
Thank you
You’re very welcome! 🙂
I don’t want a quiet generator..... I want a generator without problems with fuel, that lasts, able to start after years of storage, reliable, cheap, inexpensive, affordable and high quality
Your not asking for much 😂.
@@russellroddy4417 - Your advice is of little benefit ... My background is in the Purchasing Profession ... and, a MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT of a purchase is a spreadsheet ... giving a HIGH to LOW spread of the purchase involved ... I begin with the price to determine exactly what I "can afford" and, THEN ... I COMPARE THE SPECIFICATIONS ...
Thanx anyway ...
Forget all the complicated answers. You are spot on, the regular person just wants a "starting point". We can at least get an idea when we see a MSRP.
they all say "as long as you don't need a lotta power, WELL I DO GENIUS!
LoL 😂
This might be a dumb question, - but with the technology of 2019 going on 2020,
Im going to give it a shot and ask anyways hehehee..
Cynthia is correct, the only generators that would emit no emissions are the ones that do not burn any fossil fuels.
Invest in a hand cranked generator, if it has an engine it produces carbon monoxide and will kill you unless it is 50 feet from where you live. You mentioned an apartment. Put it on the complex roof and drop a extension cord.
Least informative review I've seen. Sounds like he is just reading the published specifications.
why is the one that could leak your top choice?
@Tumbleweed guess you will find out which ones when it bursts into flames
I know things change. But you're when compared to your Westinghouse? Like $200 more for the Westinghouse. Westinghouse has more watts usage which makes sense. Unless hearing your info in your vehicle wrong re-watching still research. Looking for a 2000 or 2500 watt generator. Best bang for your buck
This didn't feel like an apples to apples comparison generally speaking, and mentioning eco-mode as one pro of one particular generator when all of them have it is irrelevant.
Please make one for RV's
Already have one! ruclips.net/video/LSM03RhM2r8/видео.html
hello, do you know any model of portable 2000watt 220v petrol and gas silent generator
You obviously didnt test the Onan P4500i. Its the perfect RV generator.Even has remote start
And weighs a ton
What is the less noisy one for my motorhome adria coral xl 660du thanks
I would go with the Yamaha its jus an all around better unit
Strange review. Looks like you did test them hands on... yet you couldnt come up with $30-40 for a radio shack sound level meter?
free app on my phone..
The spl apps I have tried were sketchy and nowhere near as accurate as even a cheap dedicated meter. Probably because of the limitations of the phones tiny mic.
My Generac is the quietest by far... cuz it never starts!!!!
😂
lmao
😲
ya great but are they in Canada?? AND WHERE IS THE PRICE!!!????
The prices are in the description of the video after you click the link to Amazon. The links will bring you to the Amazon in the country that you’re in.
It’s against Amazon’s terms of service to post prices in videos or blogs.
Great question though. Thanks for watching!
interesting, but what about higher KWH say like 4~7k any quiet one for that series?
and if not is there anyway to make it case to sound proof it?
too much noise in long run bad for ears
Yes
You can always parallel two of the 3000 to 3500 Watt inverter generators
@@johnwyman6331 good idea tnX just have to check the price thou
So a quiet generator shootout with no sound comparisons. Basically just read the owner's manuals. Fantastic.
haw match price thesis generators
Just purchased a Wen 56225i. Snagged it for $475 at Home Depo. I have yet to open the box.
Can this be used for car vaccum cleaner
Definitely!
What the best small generator for home power outage quiet
Personally I'm looking at the upcoming champion 4500 watt dual fuel inverter, I'm after dual fuel since I have a 100 lb propane tank and 2 30 lb propane tanks so I have more flexibility fuel wise if there's a tragedy of some kind
What’s the best generator to use with portable AC?
My WEN 56200i has a fuel gauge. And using a funnel to put oil in is a con?????? Good Lord if that's a con we are screwed lol. I get 17hours run time on 300 watts or less per tank. "Low fuel shutdown" ????? Yea it shuts off when you run out 🤣😂 Yes it is Honda quiet for under $400 and quality is very good. I was able to snag mine on woot "Amazon" for $380 during a sale.
He didn’t like having to use a curved funnel for the oil lol. I agree with you about that lol. He seemed desperate to find a con for his list lol.
@@crankychris2 The volts and Hertz are regulated by computer it cuts the output when the engine speed drops too low :) BUT you are not wrong some generator heads depend on constant rpm to regulate both 👍
@@slickjimmy76 That's just what my 15 year old Generac does if I let it run out of fuel with a load. I'm impressed with these new inverter gensets, I want to buy one that offers an extended run tank option.
@@crankychris2 Chris there are gas caps for these with fuel line connection at the top to add an aux fuel tank. I have seen them for the Honda & Yamaha inverter gens but not the Wen. I will post a link here if I find one 🤘
How could you didn't list the Dang Prices!🤬
thanks 👍👍
would I be able to run a portable ac on these devices.
you cant compare honda 300 with all other 200watt units
I understand what you’re saying. I will be coming out with a video soon on the quietest 3000w generators.
Stay tune and thanks for watching.
Mine was a 2000 watt honda not 3000
300 or 200 watt units?😅
OK I am confused.
Number three has LESS power and is LOUDER than number four. Why is it number three? Video is titled QUIETEST, so again, number four is quieter than number three....
You forgot the harbor freight 3500 predator
Reading my mind.
harbor freight automatically means bad quality to me but ill check it out
@@welcometoreality3450 check out the ecomech1. I think its genius and ordered mine 2 weeks ago. There is a waiting list but if its half of what is advertised I will order another one.
@@BudStickly Waiting list? Is this a start up company?
Ummm, minus the flashy end cap of the unit, the generac body and especially the fuel cap area is EXACTLY like my Honda 2000....
I think your range of sizes comparison is not fair in some cases you had a 1000watt difference and you didn`t give comparative prices..maybe have another look..at your comparison methods..
I agree with you and I have made more videos on quiet generators. Take a look!
hey guys. need maximum help. needed. i am looking for generaitor that rans form lpg. quiet. for food truck or cart. i would be amazed if you could help me. it would be life saver
Check out DuroMax. They make some excellent generators that are "Dual Fuel", meaning that they run off of LP or gasoline. I think they even have some that run off of 3 different fuel sources. Good luck.
You didn’t compare the Honda 2200. Why not?
I will make a couple of other videos regarding the quietest 2000w and 3000w so that one will be on there most likely.
You have to be careful when comparing generators for noise. Different companies rate their unit from different distances. For instance, Honda does their from 3 meters and most other does it from 9. I have seen 10 and 12 meters used also.
Looking for something that will power our refrigerator
Affordable is how much?
Click the link in the description of the video to find out the current price from the Amazon store in your country.
“Only 1 decibel?” A 1 dB change equates to about a 25% difference in sound energy.
what about a brush-less generator?
Mate, you need to compare apples with apples and not mix the feature that you are rating of the machines that you are comparing. If you mention for one, then need to mention it for the others whether better or worse, etc. Apart for the end summary this is just basically a list of manufacturer advertising blurb.
Dude at 0:40 doesn't even know how to fish. lol
4:35 "ADJUSTES"?
