It is so awsome seeing such a great model of my favourite aircraft carrier finally finished. (Though i am a bit late) 😅😂 the work and dedication you put in these is just on another level. Now theres only the 1/350 Kaga missing. Cannot let the sister be alone😊😂
Absolutely wonderful! I'm sad to see this series end but I look forward to your other videos. It is a shame that such incredible machines were created for war yet I find them fascinating . Thank you for sharing your work.
Hi, your model is amazing, and the skillful wood cutting also impresses me, for my very bad jigsaw using experience......easy to shake and cannot make a straight line.... Hence, for this super outstanding ship model, and the elegant wooden base, maybe acrylic would be more suitable, to match your work (the thinner 2-3mm would be more acceptable in price), especially the thermal bending technique could mitigate the adhesive line on top of front and rear view of the showcase. Just from view of mine.
Awesome. The only thing which could be improved is the choice of aircrafts on the deck. I understand the temptation to show as many different aircrafts as possible but Kido butai strikes were made only of either dive bombers or torpedo bombers with their escort, not both. The japanese theorized early on that in order to sink a carrier, they would need to strike first and overwhelm her defense. Therefore they theorized air strikes should always or at least whenever possible include both dive bombers and torpedo bombers allowing synchronized attacks coming from low and above making evasive manoeuvers almost impossible. Problem was the deck of japanese (and american) carriers could not let them launch all their aircrafts at the same time. Then the japanese decided their carriers would contribute to each strike with only one kind of attack plane. If one carrier or carrier division was launching dive bombers, the other would launch torpedo bombers and it would allow the japanese combined fleet to launch a strike combining all kind of planes in less than 15 mn after the launch order was given. Those plane would be able to seek the ennemy without waiting for the remaining planes aboard which would be launched around 45 mn later in another combined strike. Meanwhile their american counterparts took more than an hour to put all their aircrafts into the air because they used to launch everything before sending an attack wave, forcing them to fill their decks several times while the planes already in the air had to wait for the complete strike to be airborne.
