Mind blowing detail very comprehensive video of how to make this kit not for the faint hearted modeller its so impressive in astonishing detail ,trouble is with me i have too many unmade kits to yet another you have to be very determined to to Finnish this fantastic kit. great video with happy music , i really enjoyed watching it being made well done for a museum standard model of AKAGI it happens to be one of my favourites too thank you .
No! You don't donate this to a museum who wants it free ! You sell it to them for whatever you think it's worth! If they want it free you tell them "Go to hell"!
@@vincentlussier8264 you may be right, but it was because of the idea to present this masterpiece to as many interested people as possible and what could serve this purpose better than a naval museum?
Just when I thought I'd knew all the top notch modelling channels on RUclips, yours popped up in my stream to prove me wrong. Excellent build, hope you don't suffer from PTSD with all that photo etch work 😅
Very nice..! another complex and expensive Hasegawa 1/350 new tool kit. Just joying watching 'cause I could never purchase that expensive kit even without the several PE frets.
That was amazing, I had never seen one of the Japanese aircraft carriers built as a model before, I'm just getting back into model making, usually 1:72 scale war birds or 1:350 scale ships, I think the after market Photo Etch kits, plus the crew & aircraft really finished it of nicely, well done.
Rolled up futon mattresses as an improvised flak armor. You might see sand bags or something similar on allied vessels, but Japan had plenty of futons, so that's what they used. Probably quite effective too.
Fun fact. I saw british documentary, like 7 years ago, about classified documents that had been released. It told the story of a UK major, a navy pilot, who gave the japanese the british blueprints for their first carriers. He was also the first person to land and take off off a Japanese carrier.
Kido Butai rises again! Magnificent build! You honor her and those who served on her! I’ve been watching your builds that was quite a labor of love! Thank you for sharing!!
How long did this take you? How much do you think in labor etc would it cost me if I was a buyer of this finished art work? I'm getting back into the craft after 30 yrs
Oh oops. Errrr you probably are confused about my reply. I clicked the wrong comment, it's the one above. I'll give the link you sent a listen. How did I achieve that?
Could you please list all of the aftermarket parts you used to make such an incredible model? This is my dream kit and I want to do it right when I attempt it within a few years. Any resources / lists of aftermarket parts for her would be greatly appreciated... Great work and thank you!!
I just finished 1/700 waterline Yamato yesterday! At 1/700 scale, I had to give up on the handrails and rigging. To be honest, they were virtually invisible anyway. But they look great at 1/350!

Exactly, always haters out there.
Impeccable build and detailing!!!
個人的に赤城は空母の中でも加賀と並んで好きなので、ここまで細かいプラモを見るとすごいワクワクします。
第二次世界大戦で負けるのは確かに残念です。そうでなければ、アジアにおける米国に何の問題もありません。
Being a veteran, I’m glade you painted all those brass components. I would dread being on that working party for shining it.
Beautiful work. You are a skilled modeler.
Amazing Work! !
thank you very much! appreciate
I will use it for paint and the next production fee

Hasegawa has such awesome ship models. The IJN Mikasa comes to mind.
This is truly a work of art. Incredible craftsmanship. I admire your work!

What he said!
Wonderful ❤❤❤ Love always Japan and German War vehicle
I've seen other builds of this model on RUclips, and yours is by far the more superior build. Really breathtaking!!
Beautiful build, your patience with the PE parts is commendable, specially under the flight deck.
Oh god… how much patience to build this!? Great find art.
Absolutely incredible work, Akagi was always my favorite IJN carrier.
really incredible work...it should be donated to a museum in order to receive the attention this masterpiece deserves!

What gauge was the wire for the deck? Did that come with the detail kit or was it separate?
Great Job. Nice Modell . Greetings from Germany .

WOW what an extraordinary build! Those photo etched parts really make the model stand out.
Kudos. Massive project skillfully completed.
I just saw your video. Your attention to details is most impressive. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of the world! Good job!!!
I got akagi Kaga both done.
I'd love to get this model but the opening shot is giving me a glimpse into Photo-etch Hell.

Advice? ....lose this music. I watched this whole thing with the volume all the way off.
I hit play and almost turned it off right away.
0:16 what are the white bags on the bridge? I saw this a lot on Japanese warships.

it's just a masterpiece! And when the author began to glue the security nets, my eye twitched😆

Well done. Models have made immense improvements in the sixty years since I made such models. You can be very proud of your efforts. 👍🏻🏴

ps. Which track is played from 12:30? Shazam can't identify.
Shame they didn't take the admiral with her.

I really like this, minus the soundtrack. Thank you.
1:28:00 I can't find any reference anywhere to "bulletproof rope". Are you sure this is what it was?
Very nice flight deck photoetch girder supports and superstructure detail. That is one large model.🙂
nice job

気がつきませんでした😅
Biggest question
Does it float
Probably about as well as the original nowadays.

I have Hatchets Bismark and I do not think I can build it. Every time I get it out I panic lol. Steve U.K.
Amazing job! I just can admire you! Thank you for sharing. Regards from Poland!
What were these bags for on Japanese ships?
Bed rolls used for shrapnel absorbency is my guess.
Sandbags to stop/slow shrapnel and shield AA guns/commanding officers on the ship from bombs. Too bad they still got sunk 😂😂😂
The Akagi was gold-plated?! No wonder it sank.
