TLDR: Nikke is a basically a chore but you get to collect waifus.
yeah thats the reason I quit after trying it out in its launch, I was bit lost and it isnt like genshin where you have something to explore
Did came back for the CSM collab and have been playing it ever since. Basically you just do your dailies, events missions, and try to progress with the best nikkes you have. You can't exactly progress everyday and you'll just have to pray that you get the good units on the banners as you play.
As you finally get a good team and equipments, there isn't much endgame aside from competing in boss raids and collecting waifus.

Did she download the game when it came out? Sasuga Big Joe. I found out about this game when it first came out, but I only downloaded the game during a collab with Nier Automata. That is, this was after the game was already half a year old. Even this I only did after my friend convinced me to try it.
Before that, I thought it was just a gacha gamefor pervent where you look at butts and shoot... Well, that's true but there's a lot more to the game than that, gameplay, story, dating sim elements, grind. Since launch I've been playing about 6 days a week, although my emotions are not so strong anymore due to the long time together, but I find this best gacha game at this moment.
I especially like the fact that the developers give the players what the players want, and not random people who have never run their game

I wonder what other gachas she's tried. _Genshin_ was my first, like a lot of other people, but then I also tried _Honkai Impact_ and _Honkai: Star Rail_ . Lest you think I only do Mihoyo games, I also tried _Tower of Fantasy_ and _Counter-Side_ . I, too, need to be involved in the main gameplay loop, and the story needs to be engaging. I dropped both _ToF_ and _PSO2_ over story issues. _HI3_ is my favourite game right now. Very much looking forward to Part 2 later this month.

Honestly the minute I saw it I had a "this reminds me of something" kind of feeling and then I was like "oh wait this is like literally just the Division but with anime TNA and no running from one chest high wall to another."
Alright that's a little harsh in kind of both directions, but it really was kind of a feeling I couldn't shake even some of the UI elements look oddly similiar like the multi-colored floating damage numbers, how it displays all the buffs/perks that are active, etc.
The thing about these gacha games is that the story is really good and even give reasons as to why the "main appeal" is there.
Biboo is very blunt, but yeah, pretty much.
