  • Sallie-Anne Huckstepp and Juanita Nielsen were iconic figures in the shadowy King's Cross scene of the 1970s and 1980s. They lived dangerous lives - challenging the status quo of the period and met with mysterious and violent deaths.
    ----
Hosted by respected journalist, Steve Liebmann, CIA uncovers the true stories behind these cases through chilling re-enactments and access to the key detectives, family members and witnesses involved.

Sally Ann, "Australia's 1st whistle blower" should have been protected, not murdered. Her memory should be honoured, not sullied by establishment tools & best served by protecting future whistle blowers, not elitist criminals.

I am true crime addict. I have watched many, many documentaries about some of the most heinous characters out there. I can honestly say that Crime Scene Australia is ONE of the most harrowing television programmes I have ever seen. The detail they use is astonishing/fascinating but required to bring home the severity of such crimes.
I'll never forget the episode I watched on Bevon Von Einem...I couldn't sleep for days!

I remember when Sallie-Anne's body was found, I was living just up the street from the entrance near Queen's Park. Used to cycle around it every evening after work.
There were quite a few underworld killings going on in the Eastern Suburbs at the time.

The narrator said the killer "snapped her jugular." I have never heard of an artery being "snapped." Is that even possible? I could understand snapping a hyoid bone, but snapping an artery? Can someone shed some light on this statement?

    • @bonnielee7134
      @bonnielee7134 4 года назад +8

Well, I'll take a stab at it. Under a lot of pressure something can pop and if something could pop then you can also think that it can snap. Only I wouldn't choose the word snapped if it were an artery that popped. I mean it's conceivable that blood pressure may have built up and then caused the artery to pop. That's my take on it.

Sounds to me like the "mentality" of their judicial system was like a lot of places: cops, judges, boards, and invest. councils and grand juries were looking for an excuse, any excuse, because "EVERYONE KNOWS" he's guilty of other things, but we haven't caught him. A bad cop is one thing, but like New Orleans, the entire system becomes infected and no one, including lawyers and judges, have ever read the country's "Charter of Rights'> short cuts ok, hini hint. if we find crooks, hoes, and hangers on full of bullets, we don't look too hard.

Eatie Gourmet Eatie Gourmet Silly Logic - people that really, really want to do drugs are going to do them regardless of their status legally. Taking that away will not prompt the grandmother down the road to start shooting up. Rather, it takes the power away from criminals flogging this shit on the street, can help prevent unnecessary deaths from tainted batches of drugs made in somebody’s kitchen.
If you want to talk about zombification, how about the opioid epidemic in the US? Completely legal, and is turning people into literal zombies, completely dependent and subdued. Or the Valium people take for anxiety? These drugs are far more harmful than things like marijuana, one of the most popular illicit substances that is empirically proven to be less toxic to the body than alcohol - which, again, is legal.
We let people zombify and destroy themselves with things like Valium, OxyContin and tobacco, but god forbid we apply the same logic of regulation to other “illegal” street drugs.
      Ridiculous.

From judo and karate champion, who represented Aus in 1976 Olympics, to drug dealer. Olympics guarantees absolutely for the future. How come John Dale the author knows details about that night 12:31?

I've noticed British, Canadian and Australian police are extremely lazy negligent, and careless of human life. They can afford to pay as much as possible to buy materials for new technology related to forensic science equipments, but they don't want to.

  • @emmas1082

My guess is that regarding the police badge someone picked it up and pocketed it. Or the police picked it up thinking that someone had dropped it if it was that realistic looking. I don’t know why the police never look into pretty obvious possibilities. Her body was not immediately discovered.
