Well it looks nice I guess, still not sure why you need disc brakes on a tt bike but whatever. My real complaints come when you look at the price, 2021 speed concept with mechanical ultegra - $6000 NZD, new speed concept with third tier sram groupset - $13000 NZD, or $14000 with ultegra di2. Seems like they've adopted specialized's pricing model. Really disappointing, but that's the way the bike industry is going, I think I will stick with my current speed concept. Also interested in their claims of a 6min time saving on the kona bike course, I'm guessing this is just extrapolated from a laminar flow wind tunnel test, but I guess we'll soon find out when the Trek athletes tear up the bike course next year...
I saw you riding this bike at 70.3 Worlds and hoped that meant it was going to be available to mere mortals soon. Thanks for sharing these details and enjoy the new bike!
Great video! I just picked up my 2023 SC slr 7 etap. A couple of questions, the forward position of your saddle is that a trek product? Last thing, what type of rear bottle clamp cage set up did you choose? I've git the same saddle as you, comfortable. Been a trek rider since the 90s when I had y-foil I made into a tri bike, then a TTX, and now the SC. Love them! Tks!
Ben, Got mine ordered. Which combo did you use for the cockpit? There were three different components and all had low, med, high options (or something like that). Assuming you did all low? We had to pick when placing the order. But I get mine 12/15!
@@josuezuniga6776 I don't think a TT bike can ever be as comfortable as a road bike because of how severe the angles are, but I find my TT bike comfortable enough for a 2-4 hour leg of a triathlon
Yeah you love it…cuz you got it free! Lol. Fact is if pros had to buy their own bikes they would be riding much cheaper versions and still riding fast.
Thanks Ben for the review

Awesome bike. I am glad I did not buy a new bike yet. I would hate to have miss the new Trek SC.
What do you do with your old bike once Trek gives you a new one?
Who makes the custom arm cups you are using and are those custom extensions?
Im a Giant Trinity guy, but boy thats a sweeeet looking bike!!!

"Out of stock online" - I think they should call almost all of the 2021 and 2022 new bikes - unicorn bikes.
what are the aerobar changeds you have made and bottles used at the cockpit
this vid is somehow convincing me to shift from shiv to speed concept. ;)

Hi Ben, not sure about the Color? Is this the Waterloo Blue?
Great video. What garmin mount is on the bike as I have recently acquired the BTA bottle but now not sure what garmin mount is best to use.
Hello. I ordered Speed concept and I'm waiting.
What kind of product is Garmin Mount?

nice, i read 14 watts savings.. where most of it is due to wider tires and stuff is this axs force?
Well you can have one too if you are willing to order and wait 300 days
Will 28c tires fit?
Tail wind?
Rear wheel??
What's the name of this color?
You mentioned comfort, how do you feel the handling compares to your last Speed Concept?
No one is comfortable on a TT bike, but he spent a lot of money, he's not going to say anything negative about the bike
